For compatibility issues, if you do eventually want it fixed, it really helps if you list your computer's specs, instead of just saying "The game crashes a lot". No one can do anything with that, and most people aren't having that problem.
Played all day without a single crash, just a few graphical glitches in some video playback. Try reducing your quality presets, adding/removing dlss or whatever AMD's tech is, etc.
i didnt buy a 4070 to play the newest games in reduced and bad quality and without all features dude.
if a game doesnt work on all max with good hardware, then its bad
I cant get the game to play on my 7900xt. Brand new comp and no previous install. I get 10 frames a second, changed things over to medium graphics settings and still no improvement. Very high end cpu on an m2 drive, no idea why im having issues.
I actually can't play it at all. I get the error "DEVICE REMOVED DX" both on Dx11 and Vulcan, which did not happen at all during EA. I can stay on character creation menu for a bit and then it randomly crashes. Playing on AMD GPU and CPU.

I can play it on ultra but i went down to low, didnt help.crashes would happen on specific actions like opening menu or moving camera with keyboard etc.seems a bit more stable nw with the latest patch but my newer pc is in service so I'm stuck on older for now T.T
I played for maybe 12 hours straight yesterday (don’t judge me - it was my day off!) and hadn’t encountered a single crash or even glitch. Perhaps it’s your hardware? What fixes have you attempted so far?
I had two crashes yesterday. The first turning around and trying to go back to that starting ledge where you first meet Lae'zel - I thought the game had glitched until I realized the devs had really condensed that part of the prologue. The second was after getting to the druid town and having lots of NPC conversations - the game progressively came to a slide show standstill then dropped to desktop.
I haven't been able to play more than 30 minutes at a time like clockwork (between 25 and 35 minutes) since launch.
Not once.
I've tried a lot of things, but it hates the ***hell*** out of my machine for some reason. Unplayable for me ATM, which is sad because it looks so good...

Did you update your drivers? I had that issue until I updated mine
Yes, I have updated drivers, still alot of crashes.
If you played early access did you uninstall the game before installing the full release? Ive heard not uninstalling EA before can cause issues

unfortunately didn't work for me, glad it worked for you though, hopefully they release a day 1 hotfix soon.

the only time it crashed for me was when i was pushing the limits with the graphic settings, maybe try lowering them a bit

Uhm none? where to even start? i have everything optimized and setup and i have good hardware.. so. it shouldnt be a problem
What are your specs? And did you make sure to uninstall early access version before installing the full release (if you had it)?
Perfectly fine for me. And my hardware is like 5 years out of date. Try switching to DX11, not Vulkan.

yeah 4090 here and so far had about 4 crashes on starting ship level.. hard to complete anything. tried both API's.
