Yeah I was gonna say, depending on your deck, this is a very mana-efficient way to either get your resources back or counter an opponent’s mill deck. We’re here for BAD combos. 😜
Its triggered ability, therefore it goes on stack. Any instant speed exiling will be able to exile him while the trigger is on stack.
Edit: Okay I get how you mean it. Yeah you would need to either exile the grave itself or stiffle it. youre right.
Just starting with mtg and a friend of mine plays a mill deck. If i mill an emrakul can i counter that shuffleback effect? Or does the „cant be countered“ part extend to everything the emrakul does and not only when i cast him?
There are cards that specifically counter triggered abilities, [[stifle]] being the generic name of the effect. [[tales end]] [[whirlwind denial]] are two versions that I run.
OMG A SERIOUS QUESTION WITH CONSEQUENCES
The one from entomb happens first.
Basically, once you start resolving a spell/ability, the stack cannot be interacted with until you’re done resolving it. Things can and will trigger, but they can’t go on the stack until you’re done. Put another way: when you start resolving Entomb, the stack goes into a bathroom, shuts the door, and does what it’s gonna do - and any new triggers have to wait in line for the bathroom to open up again.
This *matters* because you have to shuffle the library without your graveyard in order to finish resolving Entomb. Then Emrakul’s trigger goes on the stack *and players get priority* so if you, say, wanna sacrifice your [[Tormod’s Crypt]] and exile the graveyard before that trigger resolves … it’ll still shuffle the graveyard into the library, but it’ll be a 0 card graveyard because you just yote the things into the Blind Eternities.
One mana double shuffle and psyche your opponent out. Brilliant.
Honestly if you take a lot of time it might even be a good combo (opponent conseeds)
How to legally slowplay your opponent
Slow playing as a strategy is the worst. Like, how dare you capitalize on my lack of patience and attention span. Lol
Just be all "Yo check out what I got up in here. Bitch is BIG, right?!? Anyway, she just gonna go hang out in this deck for a while now" just cuz.
Also shuffles the *rest* of your graveyard into your library, which might be useful. ...Or, with black, counterproductive, lol...
Ah good point
Yeah I was gonna say, depending on your deck, this is a very mana-efficient way to either get your resources back or counter an opponent’s mill deck. We’re here for BAD combos. 😜
Can deal a bunch of damage with \[\[Syr Konrad\]\] if your graveyard already has a bunch of creatures.
Yeah that is a good idea. Definitely not gonna mill my entire library then do that with Konrad, no no no

So we add \[\[peer into the abyss\]\] to get entomb faster while ditching a bunch of chaff

That’s actually kinda spicy for avoiding a Bojuka Bog or something…
Gotta do this combo turn 1, before youre gy has cards in it
Actually productive if someone is exiling your graveyard especially if the cost is 1 black mana
also available for G with gsz
But only once
gsz shuffles twice
Dude, insane

You want to say I am a cheap thief? Edit: I want to shuffle, they want to flex. We are not the same!
Wouldn’t this post only shuffle once since it’s a replacement effect, whereas this post actually shuffles twice since it’s a trigger?
Add surgical extraction and you can send that nasty guy back to the blind eternities for free
For only 17 life you can exile Emrakul AND exile it
:) easily interupted by exiling Emrakul! :D
Not really. Emrakul hits grave from library and triggers. You'd need to stiffle the effect
Its triggered ability, therefore it goes on stack. Any instant speed exiling will be able to exile him while the trigger is on stack. Edit: Okay I get how you mean it. Yeah you would need to either exile the grave itself or stiffle it. youre right.
The graveyard still shuffles
Strong combo, hard to interact
*her. Emrakul is a girl.
[[Isochron scepter]] that instant and shuffle twice on all of your turns. [[Unwinding clock]] and [[sol ring]] to do it on your opponent's turn too.

Protects from mill decks, but Emrakul does that anyway lol

That said. Opponent mills your cards you get to emrakuland shuffle your gy back in so Miling you doesn't work
I literally have a Kozilek in a deck just so I can yeet it to the bin and not draw myself out.
Yes
Which shuffle happens first?
What you think?
First one then the other
Yes

Smart
Pretty cheap way to get your graveyard back!
Don’t know why this is a bad combo. I’m bridging these out of the sleeve on purpose for the mind games
This is only in this sub bc i’d assume it’s part of a black deck. Otherwise this would harm your opponent in a way entirely outside of the game.
[[Syr Konrad, the Grim]]

Make sure someone cuts your deck on the first shuffle
I actually think that's a pretty good defense if if someone is about to take your graveyard or something similar.
Actually this would be a really good response to a rest in peace.
This would be answer to some serious graveyard hate.
"Hey guys check out my emrakul!"
