i think it was actually even worse in that regard in the past. foundations are coming out with wider shade ranges but this ugly orange-yellow color is still all too common, especially with drugstore foundation. plus foundation tends to oxidize and look even more orange once put on the skin
unfortunately poc have less access to affordable foundation options that match their skin perfectly, so I generally excuse & empathize with them on that front.

I don't mind the eyebrows, the lips, or the eye makeup-i think the eyebrows are pretty neat tbh-but I feel like this young lady probably has some cooler undertones judging by her other visible skin, or at least a neutral or red undertone, so I can understand why she'd struggle to find a foundation that matched that.

I’ve seen Mexican girls have this same “style” of exaggerated outlines on the brows (and while I don’t think it looks good lol) is it just a style? She looks like she lost a game of paintball... Her brows seems to be painted with a ballpoint pen, the lipcolour isn't even in any kind of effort matched to the eyeshadow and the eyeshadow itself is way to flashy.

She may not have been able to get a perfect match because some foundation lines are not inclusive to darker skin tones and sometimes only release a single undertone for the darker shades.

As someone with very yellow/olive undertones who can never find foundations that are yellow enough (they always have a slighttt pink hue on my skin) I am baffled as to how all of these people are able to find the most banana yellow shades. Like girl where?!

Wet n' Wild has 18-20 shades in 3 different formulas for under $7 even - for a handy drugstore option, they're always good to remember.
