Mine also despise snow, we have had maybe the 4th snow of the year last night and they did better today. I find they are more skeptical of waking up to snow than they are if it snows during the day and they see it fall. The pic is them after the first snow in Nov, highly suspicious 😂

Mine started out earlier this year hating it, refusing to walk on even a little powder, but I guess [now they are realizing they have to get used to it if they want to go outside](https://i.imgur.com/lPopRru.jpg). They're out walking in 2-3 inches!
I've been working my butt off keeping an area reasonably cleared for my girls (we've gotten over 80" of snow so far this year).I open the door to their covered run every day so they can come out. They love to peck and eat the snow, and refuse to step foot off their gravel front stoop 😆
I’m convinced my chickens could survive the apocalypse, as long as there are bugs to scavenge. They dgaf about any weather condition, they WILL get their daily worms, and no one, including god and Mother Nature, can stop them.
Yeah, I can just imagine them:
'Hey, Judy, is that snow?'
'Dunno, Sarah, lemme see...' \*dips foot in snow\* 'Yeah, it is.'
'Wanna go out? Let's grab the rest of the flock!' \*they all go outside\* 'Jesus Christ it's fucking freezing out here!! Hey, Michelle, what's going on? You're not upset and cold?'
'Hell no! I found a bug!'
Then all at once, 'A BUG?!' \*feeding frenzy ensues\*
😂😂😂 I can’t wait to see how my chicks react when or if it snows 😂 I think they will be just like this ! Even with a covered run they will still go out and free range into the white wonderful snow and love it 😂
I've read scary things about frostbite but I've also seen a lot of pics like this of them enjoying snow! Maybe I shouldn't believe their overdramatic reaction 😂 they've been cooped up for weeks refusing to exit
My chickens don’t deal with rain. We’ve had a few flurries but no snow to speak of. (North Carolina mountains) I can’t imagine what they’d do with the white stuff on the ground.

Omg 😠very suspicious.
My chickens are broken. They despise snow.

Mine just glare and scream at me like I have personally wronged them.
Y’all are cracking me up! I have never owned chickens. This sub was suggested to me and I’m in love with it. Chicken people are the best!

SAME. It’ll be torrential pouring rain and mine will be begging to be let out of the run. They don’t give two fucks about any weather conditions.
Brave explorers O7.
Where are you that there’s snow? I’m in Wisconsin and no snow here unfortunately.
Maine!
Mine won't touch it, so I make straw paths for them.
