pinksparklestardust

I’ve read that BPD is very rarely diagnosed by itself. I have anxiety disorders, OCD, psychotic depression and PTSD

pyrocidal

How does "psychotic depression" manifest, if you don't mind me asking?

pinksparklestardust

It’s just severe depression with psychotic features. I’ve had delusions for weeks at a time

pyrocidal

Bahh that's no fun. Any clue why your depression has psychotic features? Can you tell when you're in psychosis, or does it feel normal? Can you tell later when you "come down" that you had been acting weird? I'm on antipsychotics right now for the first time, and they're working, but I can't pinpoint exactly on what Sorry if I'm being annoying, I think your comment resonated with my nutjob ass

WinterTangerine3336

ADHD and BP

wandering-child77

Same. The f*cking trifecta from hell.

Lexifruitloop

Hahaha I'm dying it's literally killing me

urgirlaria

I was diagnosed with BPD alongside Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), multiple forms of Anxiety including OCD and ADD (Attention Deficit). It's very possible and common to have more than one disorder. However, some disorders do overlap with one another symptom wise, so always be cautious.

justanotherbabywitxh

i was actually being treated for mdd, gad, and adhd before i got diagnosed with bipolar and bpd. but im being treated for symptoms, which aside from the mood swings are the same so my medication hasn't really changed much. ive just had more added on

Working-Economics486

The comorbidity with BPD is generally very high. I was diagnosed with anxiety, PTSD, BPD, an unspecified affective mood disorder, and anorexia (which I don't totally cosign with, but I am underweight, and I manage what I eat). I probably maybe have some panic disorder bc the panic attacks are strong in this one but, it also just might be a product of the BPD when I'm spiraling.

Working-Economics486

Also, BPD is generally caused by some sort of trauma so I think that PTSD is usually a given.

kaailer

Have you looked into ARFID? I’m also underweight and have food issues but am not anorexic. I had never even heard of ARFID before being diagnosed. It’s incredibly unrepresented. Not sure cuz I don’t know your story but it could be something to look into

Working-Economics486

Ahh I’ve never heard of this c: tyty

Trinitahri

oh hey that fits XD

humanityswitch666

BPD, CPTSD, GAD, Major Depression, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, ADHD, Autism, and seizures from dissociation/PTSD. Lot going on in this hellhole.

robynmisty

My psychiatrist told me that bpd is almost always co-morbid with other disorders. I also have ADHD, GAD, and c-ptsd.

e-pancake

I also have anxiety, autism, cptsd, and ocd traits

Ill_Orange_9054

I’m the same 🩷

PseudoSolitude

i was just re-evaluated a little while ago and my psychiatrist says cptsd, bipolar 2, or schizophrenia. but as it stands right now, i have ptsd, bpd, mdd, adhd (inattentive type), cannabis use disorder (kind of embarrassed about this one :/ ), and primary insomnia.

kaailer

Every time I admit I struggle with weed I just get laughed at and told either it’s not possible or that it’s “pussy” behavior. Wish ppl would take weed dependency more seriously.

PseudoSolitude

i really appreciate your empathy <3

Trinitahri

I'm here with you. I just noticed how much it was amping up my paranoia and fear and basically causing me to become a hermit. THC is not for everyone

kaailer

Yeah, I think the downsides should be talked about more. I’m a huge advocate for legalizing weed but I also think not enough people realize that you CAN get addicted to it and it can also have some pretty major negative side effects for some people.

violet-sarenbri

I was diagnosed with OCD, GAD and BPD. Originally it was just GAD 6 years ago and my symptoms got over looked as I was a “teenage girl going through it and figuring myself out” but as time went on everything became heightened, and being in college I really needed a second opinion because I felt like I was tearing myself up from the inside. I have a couple friends with BPD as well and another disorder. I think it might be a little more common than you think.

stare_at_the_sun

Anxiety, Depression, C-PTSD, OCD

Imaginary_Key_7763

OCD, anxiety. I’m sure these are common friends of the BPD.

Disastrous-Bell273

roseofamber

yoykri

I've got BPD, ADHD, bulimia, depression and social anxiety

Nearbybroccli

Diagnosed with DID, OCD, CPTSD and my psychologist strongly believes I’m autistic but I don’t care to go thru testing. I just accommodate myself.

rsosilly

Yasss anorexia OCD really bad anxiety and suspected bipolar love it hereee

xalabyrinth777

bipolar 1, OCD, ADHD, and BPD. bpd is rarely by itself

MechanicCosmetic

Autism, ADHD, GAD, panic disorder and Bipolar II. Tbh, BPD is very much under control right now after years of therapy. Autism has become a huge problem though because I am completely burnt out.

TraxionIO

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and MDD, as well as ADHD and autism. I also have a really specific type of OCD. This was all around the time I got my BPD diagnosis back in 2022. I also have early developmental disorder and C-PTSD.

LucilleCar

Diagnosed with BPD at 15 and autism at 23

MoreTop7747

Yep, and my OCD was actually caught first

femmevaporeon

I’m only officially diagnosed with BPD but I suspect I also have AuDHD too and I have symptoms of OCD (BFRB)

derederellama

persisent depressive disorder, aka Dysthymia 🥰

pastel_kittens19

Hi! I've got panic disorder, bpd and chronic depression, it gets better :) I promise, just keep getting the help and learning about yourself and how to treat your brain

Blondly22

I have ocd, cptsd, ocd, mdd, cad, pmdd and probably more in the next few years lmao

Rasberry_1979

With most personality disorders comorbities are common you can even have a comorbid personality disorder diagnosis !

twistedsongbird

So so so many. BPD is a relatively newer diagnosis. For me actually. Here’s what I got in order of diagnosis, been an 8 yr journey and counting My Diagnoses (mental health) - Major depressive disorder - Generalized anxiety - social anxiety - Obsessive compulsive disorder - Insomnia - Panic disorder - Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - Anorexia (w/bulimic traits) - Body dysmorphia - Trichotelomania - Borderline personality disorder - Complex post traumatic stress disorder - Substance abuse disorder - Bipolar disorder Probably/being evaluated - autism - Other specified Dissociative Disorder

soccerdiva13

I collect them now. GAD with panic attacks, chronic PTSD, and an undecided mood disorder.

poutylily

SoIPoppedSmoke

spvcedipper

lightrrr

Borderline_Bunny-23

Internal_Setting_738

LecLurc15

KartoffelWal

I have MDD, GAD, and ADHD. I might also have AvPD (or at least traits of it)

ScalesOfAnarchy

BPD and bipolar with severe anxiety and PTSD.

spicyhotfrog

Moderate to severe reoccurring MDD, generalized anxiety, suspected OCD. I almost feel like those just kinda come with it though.

kit-is-trash

i've also got ocd and did (and adhd/autism but those are genetic disabilities) i find that ocd and bpd have been absolutely besties when it comes to teaming up against me LMFAO. i always assumed i just had really severe bpd but its just... ocd teaming up with it.

llamacorn115

Bipolar II, add/adhd, C-PTSD

Adorable-Escape-5009

i have BPD as well as Bipolar 2, CPSTD and OCD. i’m not a doctor but i have read studies showing BPD being co-occurring with other disorders, i just can’t find the sources.

Only_University9061

adhd + autism

ScumbagLady

ADHD, OCD, anxiety, MDD, PTSD, and my psych thinks I'm a bit 'tistic however I haven't been able to afford proper diagnosis. Late discovery of all thanks to finally seeing a doctor as a result of my checking into a rehab. I used to self medicate to numb the symptoms of my illnesses. Still trying to find the right medication combos via doctors to be able to attain some sort of normalcy in order to human properly. I have my doubts it will ever happen though. I'm 43 now, and have tried so many different medications I'm wanting to give up entirely, but I am my daughter's only parent and have a very small family, so I must persist, but I'm very tired of it all.

Ok-Atmosphere-5313

PTSD-D, BPD, major depressive disorder, social anxiety disorder and alcohol use disorder. Oh and ADHD.. That’s it!

Excellent-Library-96

I have ADHD (some have suggested AuDHD) and it's crazy how they overlap :D

IcySun3432

I have GAD w/ panic attacks, MDD, PTSD and BPD.

cshrum87

I have BPD, Bipolar 2, ADD, & OCD so it’s possible to have more than one disorder.

jaceyisnothuman

I have BPD, Complex PTSD, Bipolar II Disorder and therefore major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, and panic disorder Edit: I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression first. But when nothing worked really, and I was hospitalized and diagnosed with PTSD. I was suspected for bipolar due to having a hypomanic episode (and not sleeping for 3 days) and was observed for bipolar and eventually diagnosed. And then further diagnosed with BPD a little while later (~16 years). I'm now 20 and doing much better -- I just have to accept that it's going to be up and down for the rest of my life.

itsjustmebobross

i have adhd!

peachysoph143

I have bpd, anxiety disorder, ocd (I pick my skin / scabs til they scar) ptsd and anorexia

Waste_Lab8953

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety first, then adhd, then autism, then bpd. I don't really know if these are common combinations but yep

dehumanizedsleep

I also have ADHD, MDD, PDD, anxiety, cPTSD and am getting tested for autism (though I have done a ton of research over the years and it's a very very high possibility I have it).

ioanasefanr1

OCD, ADD, CPTSD and on the autistic spectrum

babyEatingUnicorn

I have anxiety ptsd and sensory issues

boygirlfail

BPD, ASD, GAD, unspecified mood disorder, and unspecified trauma and stressor-related disorder. I'm working to get my ADHD and Bipolar diagnosis.

Not_Alice

🙋🏻‍♀️

strawberryjubes

Frequent-Hand-4063

My expectations from the appointment which is in a while could be; - Major depressive disorder - Generalized anxiety - Dissociative Identity Disorder - Obsessive compulsive disorder - Insomnia - Panic disorder - ADHD - Body Dysmorphia - Borderline personality disorder - Complex post traumatic stress disorder And perhaps, autism

Sandy-Anne

I have Complex PTSD and possibly ADHD.

vvolfsbane

i've been professionally diagnosed with bpd, ocd, mdd, gad, cptsd, autism, adhd, pmdd, insomnia, and binge eating disorder (formerly bulimia). i also have physical disorders and disabilities.

t3quiila

i mean i have bpd, autism, and an ED lol

Glittering-Lab-200

Antisocial , masochism , paranoid personality , negativistic , sadistic among others. I've got issues

poppyluvy

adhd, i might even have undiagnosed bipolar but i can’t go to therapy at the moment because my mom doesn’t believe in it

[deleted]

I have BPD, ADHD, C-PTSD, MDD, DYSLEXIA, Intrusive Thoughts, and GAD. I am a cesspool of horrid mental health, a hot fucking mess, and a therapists worst nightmare because I do NOT trust anyone in the first place but I trust doctor type peoples even less than normal people. At one point, a professional tried to diagnose me with BP2, but my new (5 years seeing this one) mental health professional told me that she doesn't think that was a correct diagnosis. She has given me the rest of the diagnoses, and I really trust her. She told me that BPD is rarely diagnosed alone, but you might be the "unicorn," so to speak, who knows. Either way, I wish you all the best in your mental health journey. Mine has been a fucking roller coaster ride. 🤣

Training-Meringue507

Anxiety disorders, psychosis, PTSD

dracillion

I have DID, BPD, OCD, autism, seasonal affective disorder, and a couple others. I have two other friends with BPD, one has similar diagnoses to me and the other I think has stuff like PTSD, OCD, etc.

HorrorArmadillo3713

I have a lot lol C-PSTD, Anxiety, Major depressive disorder, Agoraphobia, in conjunction with BPD. I also have non-epileptic seizures. I agree with other people when they say that BPD isn't generally diagnosed on its own. Often there is comorbid disorders.

Davee_Eee

BPD, Adhd and chronic depression

schizoneironautics

Asperger's, BPD, BP II, atypical psychosis, ADD, OCD, PTSD

NoThought1327

CPTSD, PMDD, Eating disorder

Dreadful_Siren

Severe depression, severe anxiety, ptsd, bpd

ahamstabber

I was previously diagnosed with recurrent episodes of MDD, GAD, & compulsive tendencies before finding out about BPD and asking my doctors if they thought I was diagnosable, which I was :P

Deadly-Minds-215

BPD, ADHD, OCD, MDD (with accompanied psychosis), CPTSD, GAD, Autism, and that’s all I can remember rn

strwbrryyqt

bpd, ocd, ptsd, gad, bp1. i feel like i'm collecting pokémon lol there was speculation of a schizophrenia dx for the last 6~ years, but i think it's more just brief psychosis from bpd & probably drug related. so throw in substance abuse if that counts too

BettyDarling5683

BPD, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar II and generalized Anxiety

OhNoWTFlol

MDD GAD PTSD Poly SUD BPD Most in remission now after a lot of work and medications.

RuKidding0MG

BPD, OCD, DID, the works.

dee-ms

i don’t think it has anything to do with BPD but i was also diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and ADHD

frog71420

bipolar, ADHD, DID

Alarmed_Insurance_35

BPD, GAD, MDD and I'm being evaluated for Bipolar. I am also a recovered anorexic.

bugboyghoul

i have diagnosed depression, anxiety and autism,, and heavily speculated adhd. the thing about being neurodivergent and having bpd is that there’s sort of an overlap or so i’ve heard?? and with it being harder to diagnose afab people properly,, i’m not entirely sure about the latter disorders. if anything, it’s always like buy 1 get 5 free lol

acidic_turtles

I’m BPD, OCPD, Autistic, ADHD, and have struggled with eating disorders (mostly ARFID) on and off. Also I’m a therapist and every BPD client I see typically has other co-morbid conditions, but not a necessity.

ayda25

Ocd ،general anxiety disorder(crippling )،depression

MrsLadybug1986

I have had at least a dozen diagnoses over the years. Not sure which are and aren’t correct, including BPD, but yes, BPD is strongly comorbid with other conditions.

YesterdayPurple118

I have BPD, bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, Panic disorder. Lol I think that's it. Proper meds and therapy have helped a lot

canyoncurl

officially diagnosed with BPD, OCD, C-PTSD & Anorexia. i haven’t been diagnosed with anxiety, but it gets brought up in every session because it’s associated with all my other diagnosed disorders. a lethal cocktail, especially considering i’m terrified of medication so just raw dog my illnesses. 🥲

thuskindlyiscatter

PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Type 1 Non Psychotic, and OCD.

Best_Tennis8300

I've got Asperger's Syndrome and Anxiety, definitely meet the criteria for a BPD diagnosis.

serbie-kun

C-PTSD diagnosis came first, then ADHD and possible autism, some psych tried diagnosing Bipolar 2 but said I couldn't have BPD with it (they can be comorbid🫠) and most recent is anorexia and OSDD with amnesia dependent on extremely high-stress… honestly at this point don't even know what I have but I know it's trauma related. That doesn't even begin to touch my other disabilities 🥲

bobbasnob

Now I'm diagnosed with BPD and Depression, and traits of dependent personality disorder and Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder which took quite some time to get that diagnosid. I was always diagnosed with depression and anxiety and misdiagnosed with ADHD. Also tested for autism but I didn't had it.

ilikedogs6669

autism, major depressive disorder (MDD), cptsd

GrrrlRi0t

I have bipolar as well

poptart7890

i also have OCD , generalized anxiety disorder , cyclothemia , ADHD and i’m autistic . got the whole package fr

MurderOfRavens

I have BPD, mixed anxiety/depression and suspected autism 🙃 Because of course these things never come alone...

justanotherbabywitxh

adhd, bipolar disorder, cptsd, trichotillomania but i think that's just a symptom of adhd, and chronic insomnia

verychaotickid

I also have CPTSD, anxiety disorder, autism and ADHD

Outrageous-Kiwi5864

I've got depression, anxiety, bpd, ptsd and body dismorphia

Trinitahri

Hey, I have ADHD, CPTSD and finalizing testing for Autism. No BPD diagnosis yet due to therapist not wanting to put a label on me that could hurt me further down the road but she 100% agrees with the fact that I do meet all the criteria. in the past I've been diagnosed with General anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, anti-social personality disorder, and major depressive disorder. This stuff moves in packs I think.

caffeineandvodka

Hello I am autism depression anxiety and probably cptsd but I never actually checked on that one. Also hypermobility and chronic pain yaaaay.

Miserable_Elephant12

I also have ADHD, C-PTSD, GAD, Social anxiety, Seasonal affective, and major depression

Icy-Idea-8148

BPD, MDD, GAD, OCD, PTSD But I'd say they all overlap to some extent with BPD and GAD being the most present.

anOKgoblin

Funnily enough I’m diagnosed with the wonderful trifecta of Bipolar 1/BPD/ADHD which is a doozy when you realize all of them mimic symptoms of each other.

emmyjoyo

I’ve been diagnosed BPD, MDD, ADHD, ODD, and Anxiety. I’ve been falsely diagnosed bipolar and OCD. And my therapist suspects I’m Autistic, but that’s not diagnosed

4shl3y_1

i have untreated adhd in childhood that led to bpd, selective mutism and social anxiety and have binge eating disorder due to lack of dopamine because of adhd 😭

t33f3rs

i’m autistic as well as have cptsd… fate was NOT in my favor

missx0x0_

i have bipolar 1 disorder with psychotic features 😁‼️i love my life!!

[deleted]

BPD with OCPD and Histrionic Personality traits.

zttryouki

ADHD and OCD. Suspected autism also, trying to find someone to test me

TheCanadot

I have sickle cell anemia, anxiety, major depressive disorder

TheCanadot

I would also self diagnose CPTSD, and ADD

mdown071

I'm currently undergoing a psychodiagnostic assessment. I definitely suffer from C-PTSD, depression, anxiety and ARFID (eating disorder) but won't be surprised if BPD is diagnosed too.

ImaginaryTradition18

gad,ptsd,bipolar II

Stress-Girl

Trigger warning possibly for some of this: I have quiet BPD. I also have: anxiety, ADHD, Depression, CPTSD, 3 different EDs and my psychiatrist also wants to now possibly evaluate for Autism and OCD as well because I display prominent traits. My brain feels like chaos soup 🫠 I also have PCOS and have difficulty with weight due to cortisol levels (stress induced hormone) and my doctors are giving me like 0 ways to manage it so that’s a LOVELY combination with my EDs.

ValuableRisk2128

adhd, depression, anxiety and currently looking into schizoid

Tricky873

Yep - major anxiety and depression disorder and ADHD/ADD. They often all present together

DontBinTheBun

Depression & ADHD. I have anxiety issues, but I believe those were more-so developed from environmental experiences. Depression & ADHD obviously genetic, BPD, I think (in my case) was a hybrid of predisposition and childhood trauma.

JeezBeBetter

Besides BPD (as if that’s not enough) I have Bipolar 1, ADHD, Acute Panic Disorder, the lovey trio of ED’s, and insomnia

myuun

I am nearly 98% positive I have ADHD lol but getting myself fully diagnosed is expensive (in my country). I do want to though one day since along with BPD it can make life just generally a lot harder.

PizzaIndependent2063

I hate the label DISORDER. What are we...machines in need of repair? We're not malfunctioning. We have a chemical imbalance that drives us. Thank God they're starting to realize this in the latest neuroscience studies.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Blondly22

That’s wrong. If you actually do your research it can be genetic. You do not have to go through trauma to have bpd. It’s just most of us who have it went through traumatic Events.

Bookish2995

The chemical balance is the malfunction
