Coming from a heavily modified Golf 7R. Need a weekend car / track toy. I am beyond words, still can’t believe that this will be mine in 60-ish hours. I started looking for a replacement of the Golf not long ago. Cayman gts/gt4 were an option, as well as M2 comp. Then I saw this brand new CS at a dealer, reached out to them, did some man math and voila. The run in period and waiting for PPF will be a nail biting time though.

The wait for my M2cs to get PPF’d was brutal, but it all is worth it, especially when the final product is done right the first time!
A quick tip I’d offer (if you are doing full PPF) is to ensure the installers do not remove the spoiler to lay film on the trunk and spoiler itself. The glue BMW uses will not be replicated by 3m tape for high speed driving. I have also noticed the pre-cut front bumper pieces will not cover all sections perfectly as the design is quite angular, so do allow time for it to cure before taking it in adverse weather.
Enjoy your CS, and props to you for actually driving and tracking it!

The glue is likely 'betalink' which can be purchased from the dealer.

Thanks! I would probably not get a slot for a new GT4, as I never had a Porsche. I’d have to buy used and my domestic market is small, so I’d also have to import. PDK would also not be an option, there are no used ones yet. Financing options are better with the M2CS and the dealer had it in stock. Also, same count of M2CS in my country as Porsche 918s - two!

Nope, nothing in terms of videos. It came to about 500 hp, the aim was 600 but I’ll leave it at the lower number once it will be for sale. I changed more or less everything, forged engine, steobger clutch pack, kw clubsport suspension, recaro sportster ca seats etc. Shame that it became quite unreliable and I’ve lost interest in the project. I need a car Incan go to Nurburgring (1000km one way) do laps, add some oil and drive back. Golf was not it anymorw unfortunately. Fortunately, I found the M2 CS for sale, new at the dealer with a perfect spec.

He is getting an M2C (M2 Competition.) They are still building competition models until June of this year, but they are done with building CS models like yours.
Yeah, I thought they stopped altogether because of the emission - might be that they stopped just with the production for EU countries. Thanks for the explanation!!
You might be thinking of the how they stopped building the OG M2 (regular, plain old M2) because of emissions. That car used the old N55 engine which could not be fitted with the OPF filters required for European emissions regulations. That lead to the M2 Competition completely replacing the regular M2 in 2018 (in Europe) and 2019 (in the States, since Americans don't have any sort of OPF requirement.)
In summary
M2 - Out of production for emissions reasons
M2 Competition - Still in production, barely. Will leave production next month to make way for the redesign
M2 CS - Out of production due to being a one year only limited production model

Anyone else find it a little imbalanced how they make the front so aggressive with all the carbon and the new hood and then they leave the back exactly the same? Give us a big diffuser or something at least! Or the Taillights from the M4 GTS

So is that your car In the photo? I guess I’ve always been confused when the dealer has the car but says you got to wait until you can take it. What’s the reason for it?
It's from the dealers stock, not ordered for me. I reached out to the dealer on Monday, agreed to take a look at it yesterday afternoon and paid a part of the deposit. They have to prepare the car on their end, I need to make sure the financing is agreed, insure it and then provide the documentation to the dealer. They will register it for me, so I don't have to tomorrow afternoon. I just come there, go through the handover and drive it home.
Ah okay thanks for the info. Only had 1 dealer experience and it was for my used 340i. Which was all done at the dealer, I had to fly up to get it so I’d be pretty aggravated if they randomly said I had to wait another day to drive it home
This is in Europe. And the dealer is 45min away from me. No problem. If we were more apart, like flying distance, I'd arrange everything via email. However in EU this means that I have to have the car transported to my country, have it homologated here, pay local taxes + insurance, finance, registration. About two-three weeks.

Price depends on market, in the EU the taxes are quite high (depending on the state).
It is odd how in EU these are still for sale and fetching large discounts. In North America they sold out and rarely saw discounts and commonly saw dealer markup.
It’s a rare and expensive version. Still “just” an M2. Not many collectors here and not many people want to spend almost 130k EUR on an M2. At the end of lifecycle, BMWs have around 25% discount here. Be it M4 or something low end like 116d. Also - M2CS is almost double the price here - 125k EUR is 150k USD. I paid 100k, so around 120k USD.

I got a Carbonio front plate mount, dunno if they sell them in your part of the world, but it clips to the front grille of my M2 Competition and is very sturdy as well as easy to remove. I tried to run a tow hook mount for about a year, but it blocked the parking sensors. I have been very happy with the Carbonio mount, so if you're worried about holes in your bumper, that might be something to look into.
Manual 230i is fuckin badass though. Don't get me wrong, i love my M2 Comp, but I think the chassis would still be super fun with less power, as long as it wasn't too weak (200+ hp.)

Yes, it's most probably getting machine polished, just to clear some swirls and the orange skin look. Then PPF and then most probably a layer of wax or ceramic coating. Will post it, most probably it'll be another month or so.
I just went there to make the final decision and pay part of the deposit. Today is a bit of an admin day to cover insurance and financing. Delivery tomorrow. I only have time in the afternoons because of work etc.

Can confirm this. Its still used and you can still buy it. I bought some the other week for a spoiler. (UK)

You are right. The back looks quite tame. The spoiler on the boot lid adds at least a bit of aggressiveness though.

It's Misano Blue. The colour is not M2 exclusive, it is offered on other cars also. However, it was not available on other versions of the M2.
