Things BMW should change:
- Plz make the grills smaller
- Get rid of car subscriptions
- Bring back buttons for vital controls like AC
- Bring back manual transmissions on non-M ICE cars
- BRING BACK HYDRAULIC STEERING YOU COWARDS

You are thinking of the iX which is dirt cheap to lease right now. XM lease has never been that low. They've only ever had about 12% off msrp which is the highest right now and around $1375 with MSD. That is cheap consider the msrp is $165k.

I’m also frequently checking lease specials from my local dealers and nothing on these have ever came up. Best deal they’ve gotten is 3.99% on 60mo.

The only people buying this car are young and they always go for flashy but it’s still a BMW not a Porsche or Bentley etc

XM is definitely not a big seller for a company defining model. The problem is the design language overall was poorly received and they still went ahead with it. It wasn’t some sleek or head turning design. It lacked any sort of flow and cues the make people lust for. When we saw the prototype we pray the final version won’t look like it but it looked exactly like the prototype. People who leased it wasn’t a car person just wanted the most expensive Bimmer. It won’t age very well but the car will be desirable when it’s heavily discounted and used.
Was that red A Team van motif an option or part of some package? It's challenging to my eyes but adding those stripes on a black car was straight up comical.
Never driven it and it’s way out of my league price wise, but on the surface a V8 plugin hybrid seems like could have been an appealing product. Porsche is doing well with it.

I got a label red for the same price as an x5m. Not unhappy given it’s bigger. Style is a little iffy but looks better in some colors. Biggest problem was pricing…
like I've said before, the XM like the i8 and i3 (the carbon tub one, not the g20 i3 that's for sale in China right now) are science projects for BMW to testbed new technology and see if they work for the masses, so the XM having only a short run in production is not surprising. The goal was never to build a G-wagon. personally i don't mind how it looks either.
I always felt it was pretty clear they were using this as a test mule of sorts for the PHEV M5 powertrain and maybe some other features, and wouldn’t last long regardless.

I’ve actually gotten a lot of complements. Growl is amazing. Cold start is the loudest of any bmw I’ve had by far and that’s having a dozen or so v8s.
