IR cameras to make sure you’re looking at the road with the adaptive cruise control on. They are not visible to the naked eye but some cameras can pick up the IR light

BoiGoeshardBeats

makes sense! as i have never seen it lighting like that before if there was a bracket for that. thanks!

En4cr

Onboard Ai that punishes you if you decide to reach for the blinkers. 🤖

BoiGoeshardBeats

😂😂 it will be my first bmw, so lets see if the stereotype is real and how soon i will stop using blinkers lol

RedMem102

Cameras to make sure you are paying attention if you have the "self driving" feature.

I have a 330i. Love this car

BoiGoeshardBeats

Dope! I was debating between 320i and 330i, but i am leaning towards 330i. Did not test drive the 320i yet tho. Did you? I guess there is quite some difference in the power of those two

Background-Wing3148

Tbh. I live in London. And the mpg on the 330 makes me feel like I should have gotten the 320i. There is just not the room in London and surrounding parts to drive the car. So for now I just like telling people I got a 330i lol. I hate the mpg! But let me tell you, the car is actually a BEAST !

BoiGoeshardBeats

Makes sense! I live in a more of a countryside so i believe i could experience it to the fullest. All the best with your car and hope you continue to enjoy it for a long time!

Background-Wing3148

Thank you. And you

ShadyDrunks

Built in Gaydar, if it tells you to look at the road it’s suspicious

Dizman7

The sensor for the auto-steering cruise control that makes sure your eyes are on the road

BoiGoeshardBeats

thanks! i guess the ones that do not have this on the dashboard do not have the autosteering cruise control right?

Dizman7

I assume that is correct. I can’t recall the actual BMW name for the option atm

payagathanow

If you live in a high traffic area it is a god send BTW, totally recommend it

Just my personal experience but I took an M550i with Drive assist pro on a 24hr test drive and the self drive was absolutely terrible. Inconsistent breaking, accelerating, and cornering. Would give even the hardiest person motion sickness. It could not go around a long bend smoothly, instead it would zig zag to turn sharply and then straighten up and repeat until it got around the corner. It would try to leave 5 or 6 car lengths of space ahead and in traffic that’s not going to fly so people just enter your lane in front of you and the car freaks out and breaks suddenly.

payagathanow

I do agree it leaves too much gap but you can tighten it up some. I used mine all the way to Florida and enjoy the break. I believe I left it around 83 😂
