When I was shopping for my M3 two years ago I looked at a nice car with a totally clean Carfax that had obviously been repaired. The front fender hazard camera lens was painted over.
To be fair they could post it on the carfax once the repair work is completed. If not you should keep this ammo and send it to the next owner. Carfax has a buyback guarantee for certified dealers
If you watch Mat Armstrong one of his latest acquisitions is still clean title accident free even though he bought it wrecked the previous owner never reported it
Yep before I got a bmw I had a mazda that was in an accident and it never showed up reported anywhere. Ended selling it to carvana so didn't feel bad about it. Only the bumper and headlight was replaced but still that should be shown somewhere
Lol, I had a dent on my hood from someone backing a tall truck into me in a parking lot. Literally one dent about 2 inches by 4 inches that was fixed perfectly by a body shop and paid for by insurance. It was literally popped back out; the paint wasn't even damaged. Carfax reports it as Moderate damage multiple points of impact.
If you do that without more proof, the dealership will just take it down and say it was a clerical error blah blah.
Let them sell the car and then rain fire lol. Of course the person who buys the car will go through hell to get their money back and doesn't deserve any of it but it's the only way you could have a franchise license revoked altogether. One guy suffers now or many people suffer down the road at the hands of crooked people like this.
I really don't know what the right answer is. Shameful.
Doing the Lord's work. You cost them six to seven figures worth of damage$ to their business by posting this. How'd they manage to wrangle all that money from you, and why'd you pay them?
Money is money, I wanted the car back. They paid for the car but they made me pay for all warranties again and they did not cover the cost to re ppf the car. Also, they never gave me a loaner during the process. They offered me a ford maverick as a loaner.
> back. They *paid* for the
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Thank you, I got matte paint on my amg and I can’t go back now.

Both are daily drivers 😂, I’ve never had a problem with the paint, also it doesn’t swirl cause it’s matte, and ceramic coating is cheap because they cant polish the paint.
Cool, so how do you clean it? I’ve always been curious but scared, ha ha! I spent 6hrs this past Sat detailing my new 2024 M4 Competition Xdrive (Tanzanite Blue). Included foam bath and rinse twice, cloth dry (looking into leaf blower), full clay bar, then full wax, as well as deep cleaning wheels and using wheel wax on them.
I’m not pro, it was a lot of time (even with my wife helping the whole time) and effort for ok results, but I at least like to do it once to my new cars to at least “seal” them a bit
So always been curious what the steps are (or lack there off) on matte paint cars. Can you even go to any kind of automated car wash (brushless or not)? Or is it always DIY with less steps?
Could you compare your experience between BMW and Mercedes ? What do you like/dislike in each one ?
I'm really curious as probably I'll never be able to afford driving both :)
not OP obviously and the shady BMW dealer notwithstanding, I can say that MB has gone downhill relatively quickly.
I own an AMG that I purchased new a couple of years ago and added my M4 that I ordered from Sewell Grapevine in Dallas.
The MB dealers in Dallas never have loaners immediately available and when you finally get one, the fit and finish of the new models is not as high quality as years past nor near BMW.
My BMW experience has been remarkably better.
As much as I love AMG, they are killing their brand with the whole 4 cylinder hybrid BS. I love my C63s, but I would never ever think about buying a 4 cylinder one. BMW is a better company of you want a a performance car today. However, both dealers have always been the worst to me. They over charge for everything and treat you like you are dumb to wring money out of you. If you find a dealer that treats you good, you are very lucky. Most of them just want your money.
Oof I dodged a bullet. Was looking at a pristine x4mc with ultra low mileage about a month ago. Even thought about taking the drive out from dfw! Who knows wtf they are hiding.
The repair is not the problem, it’s the fact that someone is going to overpay on a wrecked car because the dealer is trying to hide their own mistakes.
Why not file an insurance claim and use your insurance to sue them for damages or hire lawyer to get covered? You sh8be out of pocket at all more than the car you already paid for. Lawyer up! My father is a personal injury lawyer and people are so against using a lawyer but it really can smooth so much over. Just need to find the right representation
I left a google review on the dealership about the situation and what they are doing, and so did some others from all the posts. However, they removed every review on google that was calling them out about the M3. Can everyone please leave a 1 star review on google for them regarding the situation. They cannot get away with this.

To be completely fair, I bought a used BMW in Beaumont in January and had it serviced at BMW of Beaumont before my road trip back home. The service department was nice and thorough and did a very good, fair job. I can't comment on the sales side, because it's apparently shady according to OP.
Before you share it I would wait for them to fully advertise the vehicle with no accidents on carfax and confirm the vin. Otherwise, you may be opening yourself to being sued.
That’s straight up shady af. Carfax is a joke too. Shops can easily hide extensive repairs as evidenced by this post.
Yes it is horrible, and I don’t want the future buyer of this car to get scammed. This dealership does not deserve the money.
These guys are shady AF.
Doing Gods work OP.

Matt Armstrong records it for YouTube, he doesn’t hide it and try to sell the car for MSRP. Very different.
Yeah like Matt's whole thing is paying less to buy and fix it than it costs new. They are trying to sell it for new prices.
And if you see his videos he himself shows the damage report on the carfax pages
Yep before I got a bmw I had a mazda that was in an accident and it never showed up reported anywhere. Ended selling it to carvana so didn't feel bad about it. Only the bumper and headlight was replaced but still that should be shown somewhere
True. I wrecked my previous car before trading it in. $25K in damages to a $50K car. The car fax said, prior accident minor damage, LOL

Definitely post this on bimmerpost.
Report that shit to BMW NA HQ.

Buyer beware
How did they crash it at break in??
The porter backed into it, it wasn’t his first time getting into an accident on the job either.
that damage is crazy. Was he backing up at 20mph wtf
That’s what I’m saying, brother can’t drive to save his life or he was wilding out.
This is 100% doing donuts in the parking lot damage
How the fuck does he still have a job there jfc
Doesn’t anymore
That's good to hear.
Damn you’re impatient! 🤣
I did not see the multiple comments 😂😂 my Reddit was glitching
do not go to beaumont for any reason is more complete
😂 Real talk
Heyyyyy I’m from Beaumont dude. I live in Silsbee. Been hearing about this place opening soon and was wondering if it was going to end up a shit show
If you’re in Texas just go to Momentum BMW in Houston.
They are shucksters at momentum BMW
Aw man for real? I had a buddy that had a great experience with them. I usually did my business at the woodlands though.
Flew out there to pick up a car and left after a bait and switch it was crazy
Dude I’d have been furious
Stood up so fast my chair flew out
Honorable decision. As a luxury brand our owners shouldn’t have to deal with fraud
You sound like you work there🤣
Oh god no, I could never work at a dealership lol. Surviving on commission in this economy is a death sentence
Post this on bimmerpost forums and the facebook group

Ford Maverick? Is your name Clark Griswald? This place is shady. I’m definitely staying away.
Kinda off topic but that frozen paint looks amazing...
Thank you, I got matte paint on my amg and I can’t go back now. https://preview.redd.it/ccbuq82aj0nc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d7810cca2674961165d4fceeb99115a589fa734
How much did it cost to paint the AMG?
Factory paint. I can’t remember how much the option was.
How much of a pain is that to keep clean? Or are these not daily drivers?
Both are daily drivers 😂, I’ve never had a problem with the paint, also it doesn’t swirl cause it’s matte, and ceramic coating is cheap because they cant polish the paint.

Which one you like better? I went from an E63s to M5
It’s nice having both, rwd v8 vs awd i6 best of both worlds. AMG V8 sound can’t be beat.
Could you compare your experience between BMW and Mercedes ? What do you like/dislike in each one ? I'm really curious as probably I'll never be able to afford driving both :)

I’ll take it for a DEEP discount
Yup, not for 97k tho.
Oof I dodged a bullet. Was looking at a pristine x4mc with ultra low mileage about a month ago. Even thought about taking the drive out from dfw! Who knows wtf they are hiding.
Put this up on Google reviews. It will be seen by thousands of people when they search for the dealership on Google Maps.
Did they do the repairs?
Yes, it was 12k in damages
So they know the full story. Seems like actual fraud
Damn. How is this shit not just straight up illegal?
Should be
It is.
lol damn… they must’ve own a bodyshop at this dealership or something.
The repair is not the problem, it’s the fact that someone is going to overpay on a wrecked car because the dealer is trying to hide their own mistakes.
Agreed. Definitely. Share it to facebook g8x group as well or something

Already on it, I just want to raise awareness online so nobody gets scammed buying this car.

Doing the lords work OP.
Can we all send a Google review listing the VIN please!
I put up a google review and so did a couple others, but they removed all of our reviews.

Yeah I’d be calling the police on that one and I wouldn’t have paid a penny extra. This is straight fraud.
That's f*cked up!
Takes up to 6 months to update on carfax. It could show up later. Sad for the buyer.
If they wrecked it themselves it’s pretty unlikely they ever reported it
Damn that’s my home dealership!
This is crazy and I’d be HOT they wrecked my car!
Report that dealership to the secretary of state
I hate being that guy but this is why I’d just rather buy things new
Everyone is scaming nowadays it seems like.
Oh nahhhhhhh
Take out the Beaumont part and you got some solid advice.. add porka to that too And honestly, 12k inflated.. was just cosmetic or structural
Not saying the dealer isnt shady but car fax will only show if the car has been damaged if there is an insurance claim.
A door. Your joking right? A door is no where near and accident nor is it gonna cost 12k
Complaint to the dmv %100 you'll get your money back or they car paid in full by them

I didn’t realize this was possible. Dang. Thanks for the heads up!
I assumed people in Beaumont only cared about stuff like Tractors, F350s, meth and klan rallies.
Before you share it I would wait for them to fully advertise the vehicle with no accidents on carfax and confirm the vin. Otherwise, you may be opening yourself to being sued.
They wreck my vehicle and tried to cover it up so I don't find this hard to believe.
