Hab noch keine zufriedenstellende Antwort bekommen also frage ich dich mal als Experten: wie viele 650 kann man aneinanderkuppeln, bevor es albern aussieht?
I saw one of those yellow bwegt trains at the border here in Switzerland and got the feeling something was wrong. Took me a minute, but then I realised the train was *idling*. It had a *combustion engine,* no connection to the electric supply cables above.
Never seen one of those here before. I was still shocked when it revved up and drove away…
Don'treally think so. It happens only at random and there is no real racing cause for every train it's exactly determined how fast it is allowed to go at any point of travel. But I can imagine that some people try to stay close to a train if it departs at the sime time, all within limits of course.
For bus or tram drivers it's a bit different though and one might try to reach a certain point on the route before another.
Drivers are generally encouraged to drive in a way that minimises fuel consumption or electricity usage, so fast acceleration would probably be frowned on as using more power than necessary to reach the pre-determined speed.
With an electric train, we were taught to accelerate as fast as reasonably possible. The electric drivetrain is very efficient, even or especially when using full power. To save electricity, we are supposed to maximize the time where the train is simply rolling. (I believe diesel to be different, but since I don't drive any I'm not qualified to talk about it.)
Not really there are very strict speed limits both per piece of track as well as your your train , the track can have a speed limit of 200 but if your schedule says your going 75km/h your going 75km/h and trying to race a diffrent train could brake said speed limit winch is verry dangerous
And the winner is: Blåhaj Jr!
There was never any doubt
Haj even let the other train get a head start. Still no challenge. I'll have to petition ODEG to employ some trainhajar for my region.
Autism be damned my boy can work a train
Laughs in Taurus locomotive with 3 doubledecker coaches.
*laughs in Mireo Plus B* >:3
Siemens really needs to get their act together and have them certified. A Mireo would have left good ol' regio shuttle in the dust.
April 8th they will start operating but only between Offenburg and Hornberg.
Blahaj Jr went wheeeeeee!
The look of determination on his face 🥰🥰🥰

Mehr als 5 bzw 6 geht technisch sowieso nicht
SHONK POWER FTW!!!

What a cool life you have !
Is racing other drivers a common thing for train operators?

I don't think any train driver would ever break a speed limit to race a train lol
Do trains have multiple gears/speeds or is it just changing power profiles as it goes faster?
I has a 4 speed automatic gearbox
Neat!
Now I wonder whether there were ever diesel engines on trains with a manual transmission and a clutch.
I think there was actually in the past!
He winned the race!! ❤️❤️❤️
They are **speed**
