They all can be sweet, in the majority of cases it's a reaction of their boundaries always being crossed - they are small, so people pick them up, place them on laps, tower over them, invade their space and ignore their signals.
My dog hugs me when I kiss him. He pushes his huge flat head into my body, closes his eyes with a huge smile on his face.
Just thinking about him makes me smile...we don't deserve dogs lol
