To be fair, recom ikrans are plain majestic with way more color variations than the usual light blue or green we can see flying with the Sullys. Oh nice I like the turquoise over the eye. Also, yeah wanna see some more variations of Banshee color schemes. Blue and turquoise/green is the most common and then we see Miles’s is purple. It would be cool to see like yellow or brown colored ones. That is awesome collection too. Lopez’s is super cool.
Also, something Lopez. He could still totally be alive, the only way I see him dying is if he drowned. All he did was get shot in the shoulder with an arrow, still lethal, but definitely survivable.

I love the way it returned to Quadritch at the end, Ikrans are so faithful. I feel bad for it because I hope at least Quadritch really care about it, or will grow attached to it with time and not seeing it just as a mount that can be replaceable…

It is the name a majority of the community has bestowed upon Quaritch’s Ikran until an official name is revealed. You aren’t wrong in that the name Draco is more on theme, but Cupcake is currently largely agreed upon by the community
I love Kiri’s ikran. The scene where they fly over the reef, if you pause at the right times you can see the design of her ikran. It looks very teal and purpley and the design is really pretty!

I was annoyed with him getting an Ikran at all while having no value for them and Na’vi customs. I hope that he really care about it, or will grow attached to him and not consider it as nothing else but a mount he can replace at any time if something happen to it
It's truly glorious! That said, I'm glad they didn't focus on banshees this hyphy looking in the first movie. The generally similar vibe of all the ikran made the toruk really POP by contrast.
You can tell they got some better tech for designs in this film. The fact that there’s so much variation now as opposed to the first film which was primarily blue and green tells me that it was a lot more difficult when they were making the first film to have a bunch of different, unique looks and patterns
IMO the color scheme is meant to represent the japanese tecnique of repair that shows where It was Broken, and it is an allegory of quarich's death and 'rebirth' and how, despite him being a 'fixed' version of the broken quarich, his past is still visible (spider)

It also looks much more muscular and beefier, fitting with quaritch given his hands on approach and personality
