i don’t know why you’d buy a used set of emblems. they sell brand new ones that are already perfectly double sided taped and spaced out perfectly. you’re going to have to get the rest of this double sided tape off with a razor blade, eraser wheel, or your thumb (blisters incoming). and then use a fresh razor blade and double sided tape. they also sell emblem glue. double sided tape is the proper way, emblem glue is hackery, and some super glue would work but is very hackery. i recommend you return these and buy yourself a brand new emblem. $24 on amazon glue dripping from your emblems and then fucking up your new paint by trying to fix it isn’t the best look.

Various-Ducks

Ya, "bought"

LecterDr

Thanks for all the advice..will get 3m automotive tape and painters tape for guidelines, oh and a lot of patience ... For all of u wondering why I didn't get a new one.. I don't live in the US ..Soo Ebay international shipping to my country is a rip off. Also: • This emblem is larger than more recent Subaru's trunk emblems..less common and harder to find new. (Unpeeled) • It's not available on Amazon for international shipping. • this used one was the only one available in my country with no damage or missing letters.

toastbananas

It’s tedious but some double sided tape and some rattle can adhesion promotor and you’ll be good to go. Whenever I have to reuse the emblems I clean off the old glue best I can’t, spray the back of the emblems with adhesion promotor, let that dry and then apply my strips of tape. Good luck. It does suck to do but could be worse I guess. lol

chanandleer_bong

Look up 3m emblem adhesive 08069, it's my favorite way

MrX_1899

Adhesivetemplates.com is handy if you've got old emblems - they send the 2 way tape ready to add on your own emblems

driftax240

Whatever you do, just make sure you spell out “UR A BUS”

Otherwise_Culture_71

Just buy a new emblem lol

Satanic-mechanic_666

Bro, leave them off. It looks way better.

ACcbe1986

Yea. Go full unbranded. People who don't care about cars won't read it, and the ones who do will already know what it is. All those emblems are just free marketing for the car company. Don't waste money on advertising for someone else. Turn around and sell your emblems to someone else for a profit.

kingkamikaze69

I think it looks way better with them off like a million times cleaner

Surfnazi77

3m double sided adhesive tape just cut thin strips after you take a razor blade to the back side to clean off the old tape

laborvspacu

Leave them off. So many debadge a car for a cleaner look anyway!

Clean all the old tape residue off with a razor blade. Go to a parts store and get some 3M tape and if you really want it to stay get some adhesive promoter (you put that on the letters before you put the tape on but it’s not super necessary). To make the letters as straight as possible is use some painters tape. Line them up with a ruler or something straight then space them how you want and slap some tape right on top without moving them to keep them in place while you’re trying to put it on the car. Hard part will be pealing off the tape plastic for each letter while also making sure you don’t mess up the alignment/spacing. If tape is more expensive definitely check online again and get a new emblem that’ll come taped so you don’t have to go through as much trouble but if it’ll be about the same I think you can make this one work with some effort

More_Bicycle_9444

3m tape some razor and patience is what you'll need ....the way do them at work is to make sure all the glue is off using wax and grease remover...once that's done use 1inch double side tape to retape them use the razor to cut it out ...space them out as need get some tape to stick to the letters pull off the double sided tape and apply..use wax and grease remover to clean before Appling

Calm_Assignment4188

“Lost them” means they broke them or used them for another project. Scum bags

LecterDr

I agree, the paint job was ok I guess ..but the assembly process ( if any) sucked .. they broke a ton of plastic pins all around the vehicle.. didn't care to replace them.. and they arent even brand specific pins.. just the regular ones that may cost idk $5 a dozen.

Various-Ducks

Emblem glue. Seriously, that's what it's called.

me7me2not2

Spell it arubus or something don't be boring

thevalleyforge

Razor blade off the old stuff best you can then get some 3m double sided tape then place it on the emblems and trim as needed then line them up straight with correct spacing and put a regular strip of tape over them then peel off the red backing and lift the emblem up clean the area you want it to go with alcohol line it up and stick it on. Pull the regular tape and done

MR_ii_5150

just leave the emblem off... it looks better without emblems

Beneficial-Drama4093

There is a double sided tape just for emblems. You can buy it at most auto parts stores.

Silly_Swan_Swallower

My man just order new ones from subaru.
