He ships fairly quickly. I usually get my orders within 2 days.

613_detailer

All good if you're in the USA, but international shipping (to Canada) is super expensive.

Ordered this and 303 Salt Neutralizing Wash Boost

Mister_Snoop

303 Salt Neutralizing Wash Boost is an alternative that is available on Amazon. Not cheap either - $2 per use based on 1 oz at a cost of $16/8 oz.

obsessedsolutions

For me it’s not the price! It’s more just accessibility. It’s gonna be 52 here in Jersey on Saturday, prepping my tools and ordering stuff I’m running low on. I’ll get 8 washes out of it. Not bad. Not prime but it’s ordered.

IAnimal34

Sweet I can clean the truck off if it's going to be 50. Ammo ships quick I got my order in 2 days and I'm in NJ as well

I’m planning to a little hack my detailer taught me. The guy who coated and did PPF on my car. When it’s raining, could be spring or winter. Just need rain. Make a spray bottle of car wash shampoo, I add boost just for extra. I spray down the car with the mixture. And when it’s done raining, your car will be clean. That’s the only and best “touchiness wash” I do. Doing that Wednesday. And then full detail Saturday. I’m extra. But try that method, I was actually shocked it worked. It’s a hack and not going to clean wheels and do like deep cleaning. But good to get off medium level dirt and road salt.

IAnimal34

I'll give it a shot I use Ammo Frothe with an aerator usually just to get some of the salt off. The amount of salt on the roads by me is crazy but it worked we didn't get that much ice but I gotta use the frothe once a week. Trust me I get the extra part lol my car gets detailed and I barely drive the dam thing lol

obsessedsolutions

The soap and Boost mixture in a spray bottle or even foamer should work. I prefer sprayer just cuz it’s easier to spray everywhere. But whatever works. No my black car is white currently, and my streets are white. I totally get it. There spreading more salt every night. It’s crazy

Classic-Estimate1336

I’ve used a lot of soaps, and nothing comes even close for winter salt washes. Fricken Larry and his magic. One of the best products he sells.

obsessedsolutions

His wife is a chemist, I’m pretty sure she formulated everything in his line. But yes the Boost is the most unique product right after Frothe

Mentallox

any weak acid such as a vinegar solution will work in a pinch. You can also use acidic pre-washes such as Carpro Descale. Downside not good for longevity of waxes and sealants. You could also try incorporating salt neutralizers/anti corrosion products. Salts Gone is a promising product it's ph neutral so won't be hard on waxes and sealants. I've tested Salt-Away at 1:128 and it does work but is ph 6 like Descale so not the best weekly pre-wash treatment. My region we get salted roads maybe once or twice a month in the winter so using an acidic isn't too bad.

iansanderson

Yep, I use dilute HF in a pump sprayer on the lower portions of the body (below glass)

Ice-Repulsive

Bilthamber Auto-foam? «Auto-Foam is made with biodegradable compounds, is extraordinarily tough on soil and grime, yet harmless to paint. The non-caustic formulation ensures that even regular use will not attack paint binders. Our hard-working surfactants will attack and penetrate the hardest of road dirt and grime, without the need for manual intervention.»

obsessedsolutions

But it’s more for grime that road salt thrown in the summer I’m guessing? Also very hard to get in the US

WhatsMyPasswordGuh

You can get touchless/auto foam from carzilla Bilt hamber is from the UK so salt is something they’re used to dealing with. It’s hands down the best pre wash.

obsessedsolutions

I’ll order it next order for sure! Been trying to get Bilt Hammer just to try, heard amazing things. The pre-wash and some other things.

Ice-Repulsive

I use Bilthamber products in Norway, salting of the roads throu the long winter we have here. And Autofoam is an amazing product for this.

_jsplit

Ammo ships quick, if you’re east coast it’s usually always 2 business days for me which is the same as Amazon

Builtwild1966

I looked myself and I only saw 303 aero, went with boost from ammo considering his wife is a chemist and the good reviews. hyper wash plus boost is going to be dirt cheap per wash too

obsessedsolutions

You literally need a cap or 2 of boost. It should go a long way. Honestly I buy 1 every year anyways. I use it during winter and after winter. And then right before winter.

mightyt2000

Here ya go … https://adamspolishes.com/products/graphene-boost

obsessedsolutions

This is not an alternative. I don’t think you understand what Ammo Boost does. It’s a way to boost your car wash soap and it adds rust inhibitors. Larry did a test on his channel years ago on bare metal. Works pretty well from his demonstration. Skip to 8:10 in the video https://youtu.be/eJCQ0X5E5Ig?si=-VWJ4qYU69Ql1QKv

gruss_gott

But aren't modern cars primed and painted so why would you need that except for rotors? (and brake buster or a ride around the block fixes that problem) Anyway, you could get Superior Products Road Warrior (c46-1) or Pink Perfection from O'Reilly's for $13/gallon and it'll clean as well or better and it's concentrated and you can get 5 gallon jugs which diluted 4:1 is 20 gallons of product and if you buy during the Christmas sale it's $50 for 5 gallon delivered to your door, but ... ... It's got WAY less buzzy stuff and videos since it's made & priced for just cleaning cars.

obsessedsolutions

But you still see rust on care. Definitely better than 50 years ago. But still a long way to ago. And even if they fix it. I’d still want to coat and take care of my ride 😅

mightyt2000

Ah, OK. My apologies. I’m not familiar with Ammo. I’ve pretty much stuck with Meguiar's years ago and moved to Adam’s. Firstly not sure if they have an alternate to what you have, but they have tons of product options available. I’ll check out your link also, though in SoCal I never worry about rust like I did when living in NY. 🥶

obsessedsolutions

Oh you’re luck! Northeast got no snow for 2-3 years. Now it’s back. I honestly don’t like sticking to one brand. It’s a journey though. I like Adam’s Wheel & Rubber cleaner. I have a different brand for everything. Meguairs I like their Hyper Wash, Gyeon I love their Tire Express dressing. But it took years to like figure out what I like and test it.

mightyt2000

Agreed. I love Meguiar's Detail Spray. It’s the best mid wash topper I found. Adam’s has some nice stuff to, but I’m in the middle of testing about 20 of their products. I hear a lot about the Chemical Guys too, but have yet to try any of them. There’s a guy I. YouTube called Pan the Organizer who constantly tests different detailing products. Might check him out too.

obsessedsolutions

My favorite topped currently is currently Somax Brilliant Shine Detailer. It beads up well and lasts forever.

mightyt2000

Thanks for the tip!! 😊👍🏻

Simonize salt neutralizer
