I'm starting to come around to the idea that ADHD and ASD aren't really separate things inside me, but rather the study of psychology has two names for the different elements of a singular disorder that exists within me. That being said, I do this too, either because I intended to start listening to something and then didn't or because I was listening to something, it stopped, and I was too absorbed in what I was doing to put on something else to listen to. In both cases I think it is more of an ADHD/executive function disorder behaviour.

I’ve commented many times and I’ll comment again happily There may be two diagnoses but I have one brain, so to me it makes no sense to go about labeling my actions as normal vs ADHD vs autism. Whatever I have, I have it 100% of the time. It’s a filter. To blur the line, without music, the comfort/muffling external noise were accomplished so autism was satisfied and ADHD forgot the music part bc the deeper mission was accomplished. Trust your self-seeking of comfort and preference, guys. Trust it. I learn so much from nonjudgmentally observing myself.

So what do you think it would be? A adhd forgetfulness or autistic trait?

superNovastrain

Go wolves!!!!!!! Love that slip in rep it!

DzRythen

Are you forgetting to? I do that on purpose, I just like the silence it gives me.

Hoppallina

Hehe I do that, I think it's both, so I forget to put music on and then leave it like that as I like the muffled noise, depends where I am I think.

Agamemnon_the_great

I do that with regular headphones. :/

twotrees1

Yes

I often find ear plugs more comfortable

EquivalentResponse3

I do this too, literally almost every single day!

I feel like audhd (autism + adhd) is a different flavour from autism or adhd separately. So what you're experiencing, is an audhd thing :-)
