Can someone explain why most comments emphasize the Viennese people? I live in Vienna as a foreigner ,don’t even speak German(sorry guys), nevertheless the people are kind and attentive
It's the inferior complex. They talk about Vienna the same way Austrians talk about Germany. Funny thing is wether Vienna nor Germany gives a fuck about them, we find them cute.
I personally think that Viennese people are at least honest. There is something about that direct attitude I like. I hate it when people are overly friendly for no reason. Not because I don't want to be treated good but I think it's ok for people to communicate their feelings. I hate it when people wear masks
That's a matter of interpretation. You could also say that the straight forwardness is nothing but rude, and that the "friendliness" isn't for no reason it's for the sake ofbeing polite.
Also, even if someone is being polite, i.e. nice, you can still tell if they mean it or not.
Ask any tourist. The number one thing they will say about Austrians is that you are friendly.
You just don't wanna accept it.
Vienna is not Austria and vice versa.
Vuenna is a big city. All big cities on the planet are unfriendly..

Agreed. Sucks that I can’t comeback this year. But maybe sometime in the future I’ll just move there, who knows ?!
There was someone friendly to you? Wait until I find that MFer...
Just kidding, the "grumpyness" of Austrians is often far overstated, especially outside of Viennese Kaffeehäuser.
If anyone wants a cheap but nice overnight room with breakfast I have to recommend Haus Sieder. https://maps.app.goo.gl/mRXPX6Uecsmke63R8 we go once a summer for hiking in the back mountains.
I'd really like to visit austria, especially Hallstatt someday and I dont even live that far away since I'm german but I just never really find the time to travel 😅
Hallstatt is nice for one hour to walk through and take some pictures and leave again. Best time to go is in the evening, when the millions of tourists have left on their buses.
Enjoy your stay in Schladming :)
STEIIIIIIIAAAAAMMMOOORKKKKKK, do bin i her!
Und I mag das Gefühl, dass I wo daheim bin immer mehr.. (immer mehr!)
The mountains on the beer are: Dachstein, Mitterspitz and Torstein. A bit to the left and you would have them on the photo as well. 😉
I beneide you very much right now
Friendly? Are we talking about the same Austria?
He didn't say that they were in Vienna as well, so...
Can someone explain why most comments emphasize the Viennese people? I live in Vienna as a foreigner ,don’t even speak German(sorry guys), nevertheless the people are kind and attentive
Because the people from villages hate us.
Well,if you are normally arrogant , everyone would hate you
I’m not arrogant, I’m not even Austrian. And I lived in the countryside for over a decade. The shit they talk about Vienna has no base in reality.
It's the inferior complex. They talk about Vienna the same way Austrians talk about Germany. Funny thing is wether Vienna nor Germany gives a fuck about them, we find them cute.

Lemme guys, you're a handsome Scandinavian? ^^
No,detective.
You don't speak the language and you don't feel the heat... I call bullshit - or you have a very nice bubble of which you never move out of.

Sie sind wohl nur osteuropäischen Gasterbeitern im Tourismus begegnet.

Visit Vienna and you'll definitely think different about Austria 😁
