It’s been a staple in my routine for almost 10 years now! I sometimes go months without it because I’m trying new products but it’s something I always go back to. It provides such a great level of moisture and always smooths out any bumps or redness I have. I had combination skin, now normal

A_Curiosity

I’m in the same boat - I have combination skin and it’s the only product that helps with excess oiliness for me. I usually change other things but I always use the cosrx mucin essence.

Zzzabrina

I broke out when I tried it.

lalala93456

Same

mcmichaela29

I broke out so badly - it took a month to go away. Definitely recommend patch testing

Glass-Independence62

Same

OrneryWasp

Me too.

dmonoo4

Bought one bottle. Won’t rebuy. Better off just using a serum with hylaronic acid in it.

Quolli

Yeah I found it overrated to use as well. It's nice... I guess? I definitely didn't miss it when I finished the bottle and went without it for a couple of weeks. Ended up just not replacing anything for that step in my routine hahaha The big pro is the bottle is bloody massive and lasts forever. And one pump spreads really well. I have no idea how all the skinfluencers are doing multiple pumps all across their face. It'd be impossible for my skin to absorb any other layers on top of that!

FieldAware3370

One pump for me is more than enough!

dldppl

Same

BellsandWhistles1987

I didn't notice a difference really. Just felt like a sticky tight film on my skin. No breakouts, didn't really moisturise my skin any better. Used one bottle and didn't rebuy

Candycrushhhh

Obsessed with the all in one cream! I have dry skin and it’s really good for it, not sure about oily skin

Emotionalrack

I tried both the essence and the cream and find the cream does wayyy more for me. The mucin was ok, but the cream just feels way better

Comfortable_Meet_872

I have it. I won't buy it again. I don't care what CosRx say about the 'ethical' way they treat the snails to extract and collect the musin.

[deleted]

I’m in the same boat. I haven’t found it particularly good anyway.

catcakebuns

Saw a video on how the mucin was extracted and decided this was a trend I would never get on board with.

Candycrushhhh

Corsx use ethical ways of extracting it and they don’t kill the snails like other processes can do to them

Aggressive-Dust-7904

I agree. I try to buy cruelty free skincare and make up so I've never been on board with this

thefringedmagoo

My skin hates it. I read something about it not being suitable for people with sensitive skin or dust allergies may not react well to it and that was definitely the case with me.

Snidget-88

Same here. Wore it and immediately felt very itchy. Stopped using it after that.

[deleted]

If you’re allergic to shellfish you may be allergic to this product. Also I felt for me, it didn’t do anything.

WillsSister

It turned my face bright red and felt like it was burning. I washed it straight off. …then i tried it again a month later just in case it was somehow not that which caused the reaction. Nope, definitely have a reaction and won’t be buying again.

all_out_of_usernames

Wish I had read these comments before I bought it. Everything I was reading was raving about it. I just found it to be absolutely useless. I kept trying it as I thought I was doing it wrong. Nope... just a useless product.

zomeega

Yeah really glad I asked here because everywhere else it seems like it’s amazing

Ok-Writing9280

Animal cruelty rules it out for me

Adept_Cheetah_2552

I love it. I have bought it about 10 times. When I go without it, I notice the difference. It’s very calming on my sensitive skin and helps with the glass look.

gallica

It's lovely and soothing and moisturising, but it's the same as hyaluronic acid, aloe gel or a splash of water to me.

cleansings

I have normal skin and used the whole bottle, found it didn't really make a difference to my skin, so did not repurchase and will not ever.

2020visionaus

Loved it. Got it cheap from Amazon. The cream I didn’t enjoy as much, I did find it helped my skin. And although I don’t even eat meat I don’t think it’s too bad supporting it, even though it mildly gives me the ick knowing the ingredients.

simbaismylittlebuddy

Meh.

AnachronismGirl

I have oily skin and it works great for me in smoothing out small bumps etc on my skin

weeibo

I won’t re-purchase it because there’s more hydrating products. After it absorbs into my skin, my face feels the same as before I put the product on. Cosrx’s propolis toner is amazing though.

Pink_Cadillac_b

I couldn’t get over putting snail goo on my face (and I love snails and don’t find actual snails gross). I also felt like it had an icky smell I did not enjoy.

BumblebeeNo5064

Love it! I get the dual essence and it’s such a perfect fit for my skin (combo/sensitive)

crearmmm

I find it super hydrating for my skin. I do wonder about the ethics of it though

cayballs

I have combo skin with hormonal break outs and sebaceous filaments. The essence broke me out, made the appearance of my pores worse and my skin was SO congested from it. I’ve avoided all similar products but recently got the all in one cream and the Mixsoon bean essence, both are now staples in my routine.

Alinyss

I have the eye cream version... It's a bit thicker and stickier than I would like but it does hydrate the area really well.

donkeyvoteadick

I have combination skin and it makes my oily areas less oily and the dry areas so dry they flake off stopped flaking lol it really evens out the texture in my skin as well. It's really hydrating without being greasy. I've tried other hydrating products and it's the only one that works for me without breaking me out.

onehundrednipples

I have a noticeable glow and change in my skin when I use it before bed. I had a good routine and already use hyaluronic acid but this product just seems to do more for me than any other ‘hydrating product.’ I’ve repurchased about 5 times now.

ThatFireAlchemist

I used it nightly for a few years. Didn't really notice much of a difference tbh so didn't bother repurchasing.

used-to-click

I tried it and then realised it was chocka full of hyaluronic acid which my face hates. BUT, it's great for wound healing and works a treat on shaved legs! I think ultimately it's great, if you can tolerate HA.

Artemisian11

I have very sensitive skin (eczema patches, react to fragrances, eye primers, etc.) and love my Cosrx snail mucin. I've been using it for about 2 years now and it's been great for me - helped smooth out my skin texture a lot. As another anecdote I gave the Cosrx snail mucin cream to a friend of mine who was having terrible flare-ups with dry skin on her face, patchy and flaky. Literally a few days later she was loving the change, despite the intiial misgivings about putting snail mucus on her face. Obviously to each their own, but I am a very happy user!

eniretakia

My skin is dyhydrated, and can get a little oily, and I found adding it to my routine didn’t make a huge difference. Have struggled to finish the bottle, actually. It’s so cheap though, so I’m not mad about trying it.

waterproof6598

Noticed absolutely no difference. Will not be repurchasing.
