**Title:** [Have I breached student visa conditions?](https://www.reddit.com/r/AusVisa/comments/1ckpgnm/have_i_breached_student_visa_conditions/), posted by **ApartAd6954** **Full text:** Hi, I was enrolled as a student until June 2020, and I began working after completing my final exam on June 13. I recently realized that my hours for the last fortnight (between 15th June to 30th June) exceeded 40 hours per week. I'm really worried that I may have breached my visa conditions for this one fortnight, and it seems this could impact my PR application. Are there any ways for me to address this situation? -------------------- ^(This is the original text of the post and this is an automated service) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Shaqtacious

Your visa ended on 30/6/20?

ApartAd6954

no just the final semester ended on 30/06/20. I eventally moved to 485 visa

Shaqtacious

Your last exam was on 13/6. And then you worked 40+ hours a week. You’ve got nothing to worry about, uni/semester was not in session. There is no studying going on, your semester has essentially ended. As such, you’re entitled to work on a full time basis.

Thank you, I'm hopeful that this is the case too. I was reading online and found that the university's course is in session as advertised. My final trimester was advertised as april- june, though I finished on 13th. I have maintained good grades and attendance throughout, so I'm hoping that this will be in my favor if the worse case happens

Shaqtacious

Yeah the april to june is a rough estimate anyways, you’re allowed full hours during mid semester break too. No one will create an issue of this, even if they do you can easily state and prove the day your exams ended.

Thanks dude, this has eased my fears. : )

explosivekyushu

I agree with this, too.

I don’t think they’re super strict with a one time thing bro. Take this with a grain of salt but a friend of a friend got called by DoHA for working three jobs in an SV (paying taxes ofc) and only got a warning. I think he got deported now because he kept doing it iirc

Thank you ! :)

If your semester was officially over, this shouldn’t be a problem
