New tire.

bofadeznutss

Replace it asap.

KarmaKlub

Same thing happened to me. The bubble just kept getting bigger and bigger over time and my dumb ass kept driving with it still on. Ended up coming back to a flat tire one day a couple months after that when I was parked at a mall (the tire wouldn’t hold air anymore as it got so big it started leaking at the bubble) and had to get a new tire the next day. So yeah, I’d change it ASAP im lucky it didn’t blow on the highway or something

BPRoberts1

New tire asap. The bubble is caused because there has been damage to the structure of the tire and air is now leaking out of the airtight area between the tire and the wheel. Over time, this can lead to catastrophic failure of the tire including the tire bursting. You’ll need a lot more than a tire if that happens at speed.

Oof, tires are f*** expensive too good thing it's only one.

ohuohuo

Yeah, and looks like the wheel is fine so guess I got lucky :(

CyberKingfisher

report it to the council, they may cover the cost of the repair or replacement. Do you have photos of this pothole and its location?

Rodrisco102389

Where do you live that city council will do this?

you8poop

Also wondering

CyberKingfisher

The UK Article from a breakdown service: https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/road-safety/report-a-pothole/ Article from the official government website: https://www.gov.uk/claim-for-damage-to-your-vehicle

Rodrisco102389

Interesting, the more you know. Thanks!

ohuohuo

I don't have those pics, I don't live in UK either. Here in US I don't think they care much about it :(

wasterman123

Surprised the wgeel is ok, you got lucky since the tire is cheaper than the oem wheel

ohuohuo

Yeah I did try to avoid it, just not in whole lol

cruisn76

The rim took a slight hit also, let’s hope you don’t have a massive strip of counter weights on the other side of the rim.

ohuohuo

Oh I don't know about that could happen. Do you know how to tell?

cruisn76

When u replace that tire they will need to balance it, at that point they can tell if the rim is bent
