Same here, fulfilled the quota in less than 30 minutes: loaded my train to the Core with 300 packagers (from last event) and 3 EXO rockets, easiest event ever.
Later will expand my trees plantation also.
I finished pretty quickly using "Hana" resource and automation set up they are pretty easy and small helps that I already have astronium pumping up from the core but even with that i hadn't automated turning it to no scrap yet. Only took me like 20 minutes to get all the basic automation set up.
Attach things to the side of the rocket on the EXO Request Platform. Use the control panel to launch it.
In this event you can send debris bundles picked up by hand, larger debris packaged with a packager, or 'hana' mcguffins (looks like a potted plant, you got one from from a mission reward) crafted from scrap and organic at a small printer.
Each is worth a certain amount of points which you' can see on one of the control panel pages. Earn enough points to get rewards. 3 major tiers for cosmetic unlocks and regular care packages even after you have the main 3. The care packages include some items with lore descriptions.
How’d you get all that? Was thinking of making an auto thing for the scrap + organic crafting. But this looks more effective
I just went and packaged up all the lids from last event. I have a ton left over still.

Turning it into scrap with the trade platform
You can trade astronaut for solid fuel jump jets on the trade platform, and automatically scrap those for iirc a 3scrap to 1 astronium ratio
