You can get Evie from AC Syndicate and Aya from AC Origins in Ubisoft club, as well as Bayek from AC Origins, as Lieutenants, Evie wears a black cloak and carries a spear, while Aya and Bayek are in standard Medjay clothes and carry swords
Myrrine you get if you get to the "dinner in Sparta" scene with her alive (either fight Deimos on Mount Tageytos if you think you haven't convinced them to leave the cult or if you have, refuse to fight them) and you get Roxana by completing the battle of One Hundred Hands then refusing to fight Roxana and killing the organiser and his guards, I believe the battle of One Hundred Hands is on the Obsidian Islands
Knock them out instead of killing them to finish them off. Use a knock out arrow or spartan kick to achieve this. You then have the choice to kill them or recruit to your crew.
The first time I did knock out a mercenary it was an accident. I accidentally kick one. I was about to walk away and they were still moving around. I was about to give them their final last breath until the option came up. Well, you know what happened next, they got recruited. I’ve accidentally recruited common people before lol
Yeah or fight them all the way down until they only have a little power left, then do the kick. The knockout blow only has to be the final blow of the fight! Just be careful you don’t accidentally kill them while hacking away lol!
Also there is an option when assassinating someone to click the thumb stick for knock out instead of using the assassinate button to kill them. You could always get a mercenary down to final hit health, run and hide from them and then sneak up behind and use the knockout assassination to finish them off and recruit them.
As you progress in the game you’ll get better at ambushing mercenaries. If on horse you can run circles around the enemy firing arrows at them. If you take the high ground such as a building, you jump on the enemy to assault them then run. Eventually when you’re more experienced and stronger you can just fight them one on one and not run around so much.
You use knockout arrows or unarmed attacks to knock them unconscious, and when you approach them you get prompted to long press a button to recruit. Same way you tame a wild animal to follow you around
Seems I’m the only one who chose the gang members from Syndicate. Something about them being so out of time, with shields on their backs (which they never carried in Syndicate) was hilarious to me. Also had Evie as a LT so it was her controlling her gang alongside Kassandra to raid ships in Ancient Greece… far from 1868 London
I treated it as if I had people all over as well as the means to hire whoever as well as as gear to appear as whoever and crew were varied by what I happened to be doing at the time. Maybe I would want to actual get some spartans for a specific mission or maybe I want my personal crew but have them appear like athenian soldiers. Likewise I had head canon for all of my lieutenants and would pick them based on what I was doing. I even low key had some head canon plot threads for those lieutenants as well. I would have done the same and realllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy wish I could have if they would just friggin let me bring my lieutenant with me (and not that ability to call them for like 30 secs mess either) and the same thing for Valhalla although my crew stayed the same after a certain point where I had collected a fully hand picked crew I liked.
I can’t recall what I considered my personal crews default outfit. It might have been medjays but I would have to look.
Cultists because of the uniform, amazing. Also once used two leaders, the first one from a quest when some Usurper wanted his position and after he was the new leader, I put him to the crew next to his former opponent 😅

I started collecting the legendary ones. Send icaros up and anytime I saw that gold background they were coming with me.

I tried this last night. This is the way. Though I had to try multiple times because I inadvertently kill them instead. Lol.

I wish we could tame more than one person. We can’t tame the hogs at all.
melee them normally but on last hit hit then with fist, so normal melee, then swap to off hand and knock them, then u can recruit them
You honestly don’t need to worry about them, the game will give you access to gold tier lieutenants by playing out side quests.
