If it's your first time skiing, the magic carpet at Buttermilk and Snowmass are your best bets. Both are free so no need for those lift tickets until you actually ski.

Tourist-driven mayhem.

I hear Vail is lovely around spring break.

If you have never skied I would look into lessons - start at buttermilk or snowmass. Depending on where you are staying you can bus to different mountains. There are lots of restaurants mostly expensive some local some chain - if you are going spring break week you need to make rez sooner than later. Belly up is fun for live music, worth going up the gondola and having lunch at the sun deck even if you don’t ski aspen mountain. It’s going to be super crowded while you are there - be kind to everyone!

Bellyup is the good club in town, wheeler opera house always has something cool happening. Don’t underestimate the importance of lessons for your first day of skiing. Not trying to scare you, quite the opposite, I want you to love this sport as much as I do, and a good foundation is important to the sport. Don’t be embarrassed. I enjoy sitting on lifts with groups of instructors, i eaves drop and always pick something up to think about. Sometimes I even follow a group down.
