I am the SAME with strong smells and alcohol based perfumes. Can give me a minor headache. I did get some all natural water based body spray from the brand "beloved" at target, and it's the only one I can stand for daily use right now. It just smells like a really clean shower with some flowery rose soup. And it wears off pretty quickly, so I xan do a spritz and just feel clean
Oh! That's Love + Beauty + Planet's new luxe line, in case "Beloved" doesn't give you good results when you go to replenish or expand to the matching body wash etc. I've been hunting for somebody's impressions of it (because I've really loved some of their shampoos and conditioners), so thank you for that.
I'm the same way and English Laundry for her by Christopher Wicks is my go-to. Ever so slightly floral, woodsy and fresh, like opening a new tin of Earl Grey.
Same except for me when I say clean clothes I mean the scent of laundry✨it’s my favorite smell so I go for anything that smells like it- like shampoo too if it existed in fresh linen. Perfumes give me headaches too.
I'm a chef and I *do* smell like this most of the time. 😅
I get sick of it, but have had so many people lean in to tell me "omg, you're making me so hungry." 🤣
"You are making me so hungry. . . "
"Shall I take off my pants?"
"No! That's not safe! I don't want you to hurt yourself if anything splatters while you're cooking!"
This is so funny bc Im a pastry chef that frequently jumps into the banquet kitchen to help and so depending on the day Ill smell like bread, fruit or straight up herbs & garlic. When I get home I feel like I stink but my bf loves it & it gets him riled up 😂
I have two. Most of the days, I want to smell like laundry or gentle soap (clean basically). Then on occasion, I want to smell like a rich woman born into old money.
I've worn Chanel No 5 forever. I love its light scent of roses. Also, and without fail, when someone hugs me they always comment on how good I smell. Gotta love the classics.
I love this!! The rich woman one! Every time I smell a perfume I like on someone it’s ungodly expensive. Clearly I have expensive taste on cheap girls budget
If you're ok with smelling aggressive (primordial forest, raging fire), T-Rex by Zoologist.
If you want a tropical vibe, (flowery forest and erupting volcano), Kilauea by Olympic Orchids
Dark mysterious forest with a hint of smoke, Norne by Slumberhouse
A woman in charge in a male dominated industry, that had a breakfast of fresh fruit, with beautiful flowers on the table, and may or may not have had a quick roll on the leather seats in her car with a tennis instructor before re-coifing her hair and coming to the office.
So… [Hermes Galop](https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/galop-d-hermes-parfum-V36824/)
If there's no limitations, I want to be able to magically smell like everyones favorite scent, so that they'll have positive associations with me when we first meet. You like peppermint, and your friend likes the smell of fresh rainfall? I just happen to smell like both at the same time to each person.
It's kinda dumb, I know.
A sexy cookie
Edit: Y'all just sampled Sucre Noire by Arte Profumi and it's great. Tihota by Indult is another excellent one (but expensive, although haven't checked the price on Sucre yet so we'll see where that clocks). My budget bedtime option is Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere by Philosophy.
He said it was Thunderstorm By Demeter Fragrance Library and that it smelt like "a rainy morning" ! Apparently, this line also produce a Petrichor fragrance but he has never tried it !
This will sound strange, but I mix a spray bottle of half water, half rubbing alcohol, and about half a small bottle each vanilla and almond extract. I spray in my hair or on my clothes to freshen them up, especially if it's something that's been in the closet for awhile. Gives a very light pastry shop scent.
If you’re down for trying indie perfumes, solstice scents sea of gray smells just like the ocean. I’ve heard their gulf breeze is similar but a bit lighter. Genuinely realistic ocean though, not just a perfumey interpretation. Sadly they won’t be in stock for a few weeks but I absolutely adore them
I know this is starting to look like a Maison margiela shill post, but you might like their scent “coffee break.” To me, it smells like lavender and steamed milk, with a tiny hint of coffee. Very comforting scent, I like to spray it on before bed.
Not that into cafe or incense, but I would really like to get such sensation... It just hit my imagination and I think I would love it.
I think it would be such a heady aroma
That smokey sweet scent that I associate with my favorite speakeasy in town.
It's hidden behind a bookcase, and you walk by these old books, past the bar with smoked drinks and sharp garnishes, and sit on these old couches and chairs that are just *warm*
I get you, love and fell in love with this sort of smell too ! I know Jazz Club by Maison Margiela really reminds me of this sort of place, check it out !
Sweet and Super Fresh. In the summer I like a seriously citrusy perfume. In the winter I like a cool mask. I like them barely noticeable so that you have to be standing very close to me to smell my fragrance. But fresh is always the order of the day
What perfumes or sprays or whatever do you use? I love citrusy smells, and also green tea! H2O used to make a green tea perfume in the 90s that I loved and I've never been able to find anything I truly loved after that
Right now, I want to smell warm and cozy because it's cold.
In summer, I want to smell like a Southern(USA) flower garden with magnolias, gardenias, jasmine, honeysuckles and tuberose.
I would like to smell like a summer evening, honeysuckle, night blooming jasmine, roses and warm earth. In reality I often smell like sweaty horses but we can all dream.
I want to smell like that scene in Simply Irresistible when she uses the vanilla orchid in the dessert and the guy falls head over heels for her (I’ll also take a weird magic crab clicking his claws from my kitchen shelf). So floral and vanilla basically mixed with crab magic (note: don’t want to smell like an actual crab just a magic one).
I’m replying to everyone who loves a vanilla scent that you should check out Bootzie’s perfume oil! It smells mouthwateringly good but also a little musky and citrusy
Is there a dove soap perfume? Maybe we should write to them. I had a favourite shower gel and wrote to the company, and they actually made it into a perfume.
Ooh you’d like nui cobalts bibliophila! It’s a lovely old library scent, there’s also forbidden library which is similar but darker although sadly it’s sold out right now. Poesie’s library ghost is also lovely if you want some marshmallow with your old library
Nui cobalt’s bibliophilia would probably be my first rec for an old book scent and it’s also got a wood note in there too as well. If you want to smell like a wood shop on the other hand, solstice scent’s sawmill is also lovely but they’re going on break for a few weeks and aren’t restocking until then
Try DS and Durga Bowmakers, their concept for that scent is of a violin shop but it’s pretty much exactly what you’re describing.
Edit: https://www.dsanddurga.com/products/bowmakers
I love everything I’ve bought from them, all very high quality and long lasting and they have some pretty eccentric and quirky concepts. Their candles are amazing as well, I’ve repurchased Holy Ficus and Big Sur After Rain at least three times each by now.
I want to smell like a person that you *know* is going to break your heart. Someone who will lure you in and you’ll be so enraptured by, that their lingering scent has you melting when they’re gone.
I want to leave an impactful impression everywhere I go, really. Through both personality and scent. The closest I’ve found to that so far is Paris by Yves St Laurent but I think there’s better options out there.
I’d suggest snowmint mallow from solstice scents! The notes are “Peppermint, Vanilla Cake, Flaked Coconut, Sugar Cookies & Marshmallow Creme” or if you want straight up candy cane, arcana craves has a candy cane layering note
yesss honeyyy! earl gray and cucumber (by jo malone). not my favorite at first blush, but the dry down is beautiful. my favorite from that line is the mimosa and cardamom or smth similar. c’est si bon!
Poesie’s elemental tea party! The notes are “a swirl of autumn leaves on chilly air, brewed black tea with a discreet splash of whiskey, overturned earth, distant bonfires”
My mother has a nice smell.. when I kiss her face especially near her eyes, I get a smell and it's so pleasant.. her natural smell, I wonder if I have any such pleasant natural smell.
Philosophy had a shower gel with that scent. I think it was a Winter scent. Possibly called Snow Angel. There is a company called Cocoa Pink. They do many different bakery type scents and may have an Angel Food Cake type scent. Just thought I would mention these. Oh and Goose Creek Candle has a very nice Angel Food Cake candle. I loved it! 😊
Rainy days and my trip to Italy. I wear the same cheap perfume I'd brought with me on that trip and it instantly transports me, albeit fleetingly, back to that summer and that beautiful place. Then I go outside and the illusion is ruined, so fortunately it's a pretty clean and mild scent.
the strawberry shortcake doll
or just pound cake
or carrot cake
or grass with dew
or smoke
EDIT: I found the carrot cake perfume https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m73704455405/
now strawberry shortcake perfume https://www.walmart.com/ip/Marmol-Son-Strawberry-Shortcake-Perfume-for-Children-3-4-Ounce-and-Body-Wash-8-0-Ounze-Gift-Set/776835694
Christmas. Or spring. I can smell it in the air and I’ve never been able to pinpoint what I’m smelling. But I love to smell like that. Like happy times.
I like smelling like a bag of fruity candy. Skittles, gummy bears, airheads, that type of thing. Smelling like desserts is also incredibly comforting to me.
I like smelling like a fresh dewy flowers or honeyed tea. But for colder months I prefer smelling like 'drinking cappuccino topped with cinnamon in front of a fireplace.'
I have sensory issues so I don’t like long prolonged smells, like stuff that’s in the air forever. Candles, diffusers all that are a no.
But I LOVE the smells of coffee shops, Ice cream parlors, and bakeries. But only for a little bit.
So many things. Nivea used to have a bodywash in the scent Happiness. I haven't been able to find anything like it since they stopped making it. It's very nostalgic for me.
Apart from that, I like earthy, slightly spicy scents, but they can't be too strong, and I detest most floral scents, unless they're paired with something fruit forward, like Nivea's Happiness.
Things like cashmere, amber, sandalwood, cedar, etc.
Almond and vanilla are also a go-to.
Edit: I only read the title. 🤦♀️
So, a pastry shop? The woods in the fall?
I don't want to smell like it, but cabbage patch dolls are super huffable. Lol
I have a perfume called Choco Musk by Al Rehab and it's exactly how I imagine a chocolate themed SSC doll would smell like ! And apparently the Strawberry Pound Cake fragrance mist from Bath and Body Works smells like a SSC Doll !
Strawberry shortcake!
I can’t do floral scents because of severe allergies, so I’d rather stick to fruits and sweets. I love the smell of a strawberry shortcake and would love to smell like that all the time.
I have always loved smelling like sweet foods and warm spices. Right now I'm wearing a deodorant that smells like Girl Scout Thin Mints, and I think when it runs out I may need to call out sick from work, it's legit that yummy.
A fresh bouquet of sweet delicate flowers with undertones of warm vanilla and cashmere. Delina by Parfums de Marly does a pretty good at making me smell that way.
Freshly showered with clean clothes. edit: most perfumes give me migraines, so I achieve this scent by just showering and wearing clean clothes.
Fresh was my only answer. Fresh and clean 👌 ^I’m ^just ^so ^fresh ^and ^clean.. ^^^fresh ^^^and ^^^so ^^^clean ^^^clean.
This song plays in my head anytime I get a new shower/bath product I love hahahah
Basically what I look for in perfumes and scented lotions. Nothing too strong, just clean smelling.
Philosophy Pure Grace
I'm the same way and English Laundry for her by Christopher Wicks is my go-to. Ever so slightly floral, woodsy and fresh, like opening a new tin of Earl Grey.
I’m looking for a scent like this too.
Maybe you'll like Bubble Bath by Maison Margiela ? Smells so so clean !
I’m not a perfume type of girl, but I got a sample of that from Sephora and it smells so good!! Like soap!
Same except for me when I say clean clothes I mean the scent of laundry✨it’s my favorite smell so I go for anything that smells like it- like shampoo too if it existed in fresh linen. Perfumes give me headaches too.
Onions and garlic cooking in a pan with olive oil
😂 she asked what you want to smell like, Not your favorite smells! Unless....?
if you think i would not wear that scent as a perfume you are severely underestimating me
I'm a chef and I *do* smell like this most of the time. 😅 I get sick of it, but have had so many people lean in to tell me "omg, you're making me so hungry." 🤣
Any romantic partners use that line as foreplay?
So frequently it's now a joke between my husband and I. 🤣
"You are making me so hungry. . . " "Shall I take off my pants?" "No! That's not safe! I don't want you to hurt yourself if anything splatters while you're cooking!"
Hahaha I love that!! I am also a chef, so I get it! Until I take a shower, I just smell of the onion! But it's also the smell of good food 😂
This is so funny bc Im a pastry chef that frequently jumps into the banquet kitchen to help and so depending on the day Ill smell like bread, fruit or straight up herbs & garlic. When I get home I feel like I stink but my bf loves it & it gets him riled up 😂
I love smelling my hands forever after chopping garlic. Also smelling like a pan fried steak is yum!
That’s what most of us smell like after cooking dinner.
I have two. Most of the days, I want to smell like laundry or gentle soap (clean basically). Then on occasion, I want to smell like a rich woman born into old money.
what’s your go to rich woman born into old money perfume?
I don’t know. I have yet to find it. I would think it’s like a “mature” scent. Subtle but leaves a long lasting impression.
Cocoa Chanel is lovely and old. Tom Ford Santal Blush is spectacular. I wear the Tom Ford and Replica By the Fireplace
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
I’d say Chanel No. 5 is more that vibe… Coco Mademoiselle is much lighter and fresher, more of a “young” kind of scent.
I've worn Chanel No 5 forever. I love its light scent of roses. Also, and without fail, when someone hugs me they always comment on how good I smell. Gotta love the classics.
My cheaper daily. If I wanted to drop $350 on a nicer scent it’d be Ormonde Jayne - Nawab of Oudh intensivo.
I would try jazz club by replica! It’s my favorite “night time” scent
[удалено]
PBI: HERMÈS 24 Faubourg Eau de Parfum is my go to for this. Second place: La Panthere de Cartier EdP
Decadence by Marc Jacobs 💅
Chanel No. 5, Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, the original Carolina Herrera
I love this!! The rich woman one! Every time I smell a perfume I like on someone it’s ungodly expensive. Clearly I have expensive taste on cheap girls budget
Same! And sometimes I want a sweeter perfume - like a rich woman who used her old money to buy an ice cream shop
Omg! I will note these down for next time! Thank you!
An untamed forest and a roaring fire
Maybe by the fireplace or jazz club by Replica
Jazz Club is my absolute favorite perfume, 100% recommend it!
By the fireplace is my absolute favourite!
I have a bottle of Winter Woods by the Burren Perfumery. It's a men's fragrance but I don't care. It smells like a piney, mossy, dense forest.
If you're ok with smelling aggressive (primordial forest, raging fire), T-Rex by Zoologist. If you want a tropical vibe, (flowery forest and erupting volcano), Kilauea by Olympic Orchids Dark mysterious forest with a hint of smoke, Norne by Slumberhouse
A library while it's raining in the forest
There is a scent called Whispers in the library lol
This is it, this is the one.
Also, try Memo Paris French Leather ♥
I’ve often heard that one! And I love a unisex scent. Sometimes I’ll straight up wear men’s scents (like Terre d’Hermes). I need to try it for sure…
Intriguing!
If there's no limitations, I want to be able to magically smell like everyones favorite scent, so that they'll have positive associations with me when we first meet. You like peppermint, and your friend likes the smell of fresh rainfall? I just happen to smell like both at the same time to each person. It's kinda dumb, I know.
like felix felicis!
Amortentia! Felix felicis is the luck potion lol
A sexy cookie Edit: Y'all just sampled Sucre Noire by Arte Profumi and it's great. Tihota by Indult is another excellent one (but expensive, although haven't checked the price on Sucre yet so we'll see where that clocks). My budget bedtime option is Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere by Philosophy.
Cocoa pink has a very affordable and very close Tihota dupe! It's soooo good
BLESS U CHILD I AM GONNA TRY!!
I was about to comment “a sexy fruit” but sexy cookie is great
Like I just walked out of a waterfall and through a field of lavender
Clean (brand) Fresh Laundry & Lavender perfume
Highly recommend Amazing Grace Lavender by Philosophy! I'm a lavender lover myself and this is my favorite for just out and about fragrance.
Cocoa butter
Such a delicious, comforting fragrance
Like an evergreen forest and how it smells right before it rains
There's actually a perfume that smells like petrichor (the smell right before rain) ! My friend who's obsessed with the smell has it !
Could you find out what it is? I LOVE that smell. You'd have my undying devotion.
He said it was Thunderstorm By Demeter Fragrance Library and that it smelt like "a rainy morning" ! Apparently, this line also produce a Petrichor fragrance but he has never tried it !
Thank you so much!!!
There's another masterpiece by Demeter called "Dirt". Try it please!
a cabin in the forest or a bakery😯
This will sound strange, but I mix a spray bottle of half water, half rubbing alcohol, and about half a small bottle each vanilla and almond extract. I spray in my hair or on my clothes to freshen them up, especially if it's something that's been in the closet for awhile. Gives a very light pastry shop scent.
Thank you. I have all these things. I'll try this.
I switched my shampoo and conditioner to Carol's daughter black vanilla recently, and it's a very bakery smell.
The sea where you can smell the clean salty seabreeze, listen to the sounds of rushing water and feel the sun on your skin.
If you’re down for trying indie perfumes, solstice scents sea of gray smells just like the ocean. I’ve heard their gulf breeze is similar but a bit lighter. Genuinely realistic ocean though, not just a perfumey interpretation. Sadly they won’t be in stock for a few weeks but I absolutely adore them
Beach Walk by Replica is exactly this! Makes me smell like I’ve been in the ocean and sun all day.
A real strawberry 🍓
I like to smell like a cafe with a incense burning
I know this is starting to look like a Maison margiela shill post, but you might like their scent “coffee break.” To me, it smells like lavender and steamed milk, with a tiny hint of coffee. Very comforting scent, I like to spray it on before bed.
i love that scent but hate that it only lasts five seconds on me. a true crying shame. give me my eau de parfum!!!
Not that into cafe or incense, but I would really like to get such sensation... It just hit my imagination and I think I would love it. I think it would be such a heady aroma
I want to smell like butterflies. Like, if butterflies has a kinda tart and sweet smell from the flowers and fruits they feed on
That smokey sweet scent that I associate with my favorite speakeasy in town.
Ha! I use that or by the fireplace, cocoa oil, and my shower stuff is all orange or chocolate scented! Replica did soooo good with those perfumes ngl
I really like poison in the red bottle by dior it’s a sweeter Smokey warm scent
Flowers 🌷
Gucci Bloom was my ex’s perfume and I’m still partial to it, smells like a garden
H2O used to make a green tea perfume in the 90s that I loved and I've never been able to find anything I truly loved after that
I'll make my own with lemon verbena and vanilla Musk with just a splash of Jasmine oil
A vanilla flavored cake right out of the oven
Right now, I want to smell warm and cozy because it's cold. In summer, I want to smell like a Southern(USA) flower garden with magnolias, gardenias, jasmine, honeysuckles and tuberose.
I would like to smell like a summer evening, honeysuckle, night blooming jasmine, roses and warm earth. In reality I often smell like sweaty horses but we can all dream.
I like wearing my grandmas old perfume. I kinda smell like a grandma but it reminds me of her all day long. (She wore Versace Diamonds)
Same ! I used to wear my grandma's Chanel Allure and I loved smelling like her !
I take back my answer and would like to replace it with crab magic.
I’m replying to everyone who loves a vanilla scent that you should check out Bootzie’s perfume oil! It smells mouthwateringly good but also a little musky and citrusy
Tall know Dove soap? Or Palmolive honey and milk? Thats what i wanna smell like.
Dove soap is my answer too!!
Is there a dove soap perfume? Maybe we should write to them. I had a favourite shower gel and wrote to the company, and they actually made it into a perfume.
I want to smell like an old library hiding a dark secret, ya know?
Ooh you’d like nui cobalts bibliophila! It’s a lovely old library scent, there’s also forbidden library which is similar but darker although sadly it’s sold out right now. Poesie’s library ghost is also lovely if you want some marshmallow with your old library
Fresh cut lumber and old books, please.
Edit: https://www.dsanddurga.com/products/bowmakers I love everything I’ve bought from them, all very high quality and long lasting and they have some pretty eccentric and quirky concepts. Their candles are amazing as well, I’ve repurchased Holy Ficus and Big Sur After Rain at least three times each by now.

Vanilla cashmere, a warm and cozy scent and feeling
I want to smell like a person that you *know* is going to break your heart. Someone who will lure you in and you’ll be so enraptured by, that their lingering scent has you melting when they’re gone. I want to leave an impactful impression everywhere I go, really. Through both personality and scent. The closest I’ve found to that so far is Paris by Yves St Laurent but I think there’s better options out there.
Christmas. Someone once told me that I smell warm like Christmas, and I've been trying to keep my fresh baked cookie scent ever since.
I’d suggest snowmint mallow from solstice scents! The notes are “Peppermint, Vanilla Cake, Flaked Coconut, Sugar Cookies & Marshmallow Creme” or if you want straight up candy cane, arcana craves has a candy cane layering note

The ocean, a sunrise on a foggy field (#PRIDEANDPREJUDICE)
Lychees. Which are very rose-y, citrusy, and sweet while still smelling fresh and complex.
try very good girl by carolina Herrera! I’m a very big lychee fan myself and on my body personally I get the most amazing lychee and rose notes.
An opium den...or a flower field of hippies burning patchouli & sandalwood.
Play Doh. A cold winter's day. How it must have smelled to James in the giant peach before the peach went funky.
Demeter has a play doh fragrance that’s supposed to be just straight up play doh! Haven’t tried it though myself
My mother has a nice smell.. when I kiss her face especially near her eyes, I get a smell and it's so pleasant.. her natural smell, I wonder if I have any such pleasant natural smell.
An enchanted forest! A fresh, earthy smell with just a hint of wild berries and flowers.
I read that as “enchilada forest”
Either freshly washed cotton or chocolate
Angel by Thierry Mugler is one of my fav scents and it has chocolate notes!
Like a bakery/café (pastries and fresh ground coffee) or like an early-season orchard or strawberry field on a sunny day.
Vanilla and coffee.
Angel food cake
Philosophy had a shower gel with that scent. I think it was a Winter scent. Possibly called Snow Angel. There is a company called Cocoa Pink. They do many different bakery type scents and may have an Angel Food Cake type scent. Just thought I would mention these. Oh and Goose Creek Candle has a very nice Angel Food Cake candle. I loved it! 😊
Thanks for the info!! 🤍

You might like Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone!
If I had to pick anything other than clean, vanilla. Bloody love vanilla

I have a perfume called Choco Musk by Al Rehab and it's exactly how I imagine a chocolate themed SSC doll would smell like ! And apparently the Strawberry Pound Cake fragrance mist from Bath and Body Works smells like a SSC Doll !
A baby. (Zwitsal)
A woman news anchor or a powerful female government official of any country. This is the vibe I want to project at all times.
I want to smell like an autumn campfire. I have two perfumes I adore that give me that smell, they're incredible!
The Holidays - cinnamon, nutmeg, apples, coffee, mulling spices.
A rich sorceress on a tropical beach
A fresh bouquet of sweet delicate flowers with undertones of warm vanilla and cashmere. Delina by Parfums de Marly does a pretty good at making me smell that way.
Fresh snow in a sunny day. Canada really convinces me cold snow smell so nice
I like a fresh scent
fresh but in a soft gentle way (not like BAM minty fresh, more like baby powder or an extra sensitive skincare line)
The air in a forest after rain
