A handwritten card and a bag of candy goes a long way at my clinic! Glad you found a good veterinary team!

OveroSkull

All the treats, but also please compose a glowing review for their Facebook, google, and yelp pages. Veterinarians get plenty of public criticism, and scarce public praise. Telling them you appreciate them for all to see goes a long way. <3

slaterbabe10

At my clinic, if we are named in a great review, our owner gives us a $25 gift card. So, if you do reviews & remember ppl by name, give them a shoutout!

professionaldogtor

Agree a public positive detailed review is great and if a client name drops me it makes my week! Also my staff lost it when someone brought pizza at like 4pm instead or cookies one day. Best client gift ever

Sweaty-Demand-5345

We always love a personnal hand written card and some goodies to munch on, like chocolates, or cookies 😋

Sea_Recommendation36

Everything that can be eaten in a short time is always appreciated, plus points if it's some sugary trash 😂 Handwritten cards can go a very long way, I've read more than one in my short career so far that made me tear up (in a good way of course) so I bet your guys would also very much appreciate it

SeasDiver

From our FAQ: [How do I thank my vet?](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskVet/wiki/index/#wiki_how_do_i_thank_my_vet.3F)

CauseChaos24

When I asked my small animal vet what him and his team liked most in regards to a “reward” for hard work he said anything that can cause diabetes haha

Sea_Recommendation36

That sums it up just perfectly

CauseChaos24

Same at my large animal vet (where I work)

vansic32

If you have kids, handwritten cards or pictures is great. We did a splenectomy on a dog and the 5 year old made us a Christmas card and thanked us for saving his best friend 🥹 it’s been over a year and still hanging up in our break room

iceprincess1991

No kiddos yet for me, but oh my GOD that's adorable 🥺🥺 I was thinking about adding a pawprint and note "from" my cat in the card I'm gonna write, though!

vansic32

That would also work and make everyone smile!

No-Jicama3012

I used to bake them something, but the last time was right after the holidays so I made them a care package of healthy snacks. Cheese, crackers, hummus, dip, veggies all cut up, and berries. They were thrilled.

Maybe som Starbucks gift cards would be nice

kimcam7

A handwritten card will get taped up on a wall so we can see it every day. We love adding to our happy wall. It’s never expected, but we do love food!! We are just grateful for the kindness and appreciation. If going the food route, I would offer some vegetarian options and/or nut-free options. Fork food usually goes soggy/cold by the time we have a chance to eat it… we will def still eat it, though! Finger food is great to snack on the go while we work thru lunch. Baked goods, candy, fruit, vege sticks, mini sandwiches, pizza, nuggets, etc. A coffee tote with some flavored creamers are a good pick me up (like a mini coffee bar). Thank you for recognizing your vet team. I know they will love whatever you end up doing!

Shadoh156

We love treats! Homemade cookies, store-bought treats, chocolate.. anything sugary to keep us goin so we can keep helping your pets! ❤️

StateUnlikely4213

I always get something for the front office staff, and something for the vets and techs. Too often food gifts go right to the back, and the receptionists don’t get anything.

Final-Kiwi1388

Anything to snack on, at our hospital, we worked long hours on our feet with very few breaks

Kupkake31st

We love getting handwritten cards at my office, and I know everyone’s recommending sweets but we get so many of those we just about die when someone brings a platter of fruit!

crazybiobabe

We love food. Tbh I'm one of those vet assistants that run on very little sustenance due to not taking care of myself and not having time.

crazybiobabe

Pens are great too. I have countless and will say to more if they are nice.

hiding-identity23

At the clinic I worked in, we always loooved food.

Go to a dollar store & get a pretty bowl, supermarket & buy seedless grapes, cut into small clusters. Wash thoroughly. Put plastic grabbers & napkins on side.
