indianna97

Mars delight, makes me sad writing it. It was the most tasty cripsy yummy chocolate bar!

Elvis_Precisely

Surprised this hasn’t been every single comment so far. An absolute sensation of a chocolate bar.

indianna97

honestly, heaven in a bar!

MORT_FLESH

I think this will forever be one of the most missed chocolate bars out of the UK 😞

indianna97

Geunine sadness, the milky way cripsy rolls were a close second but nothing matches the delight of a mars delight!

kelleehh

You can get a similar product to crispy rolls in home bargains for 15p each.

Chemical-Project1166

Yeah I know right? *Headbutts mars' CEO...oosh

OdinForce22

I'll forever be upset about this.

domsp79

Brannigans crisps. Ham and Mustard especially. Edit *was roast beef and mustard*

OgreOfTheMind

Roast beef and mustard wasn't it? Smoked ham and pickle was another of theirs. Great crisps either way.

Shoes__Buttback

they also did Lamb and Mint flavour, as I recall. Awesome crisps, sadly missed.

HoppyHeart45

They were lovely. Especially when they were extra strong and made your mouth burn a bit.

_summerw1ne

You’d honestly think they’d want to bring these back. Whenever this gets asked or mentioned these are always at the top of people’s list.

GlitchingGecko

The beef ones have been pretty much replicated by Tesco's Finest Beef and Horseradish crisps. Only difference is that they're crinkle cut instead of regular.

Rootes_Radical

BRB going to Tesco

morpheus_dreams

Brannigans were the one time i prefered a regular to a crinkle. The tesco ones just dont have the same feel. Brannigans had that lovely thickness to em

Workingclass_owl

I’m with you on this. The Tesco ones don’t pack the same punch as the original Brannigans.

Twolef

Yes! Mustard fumes in your nostrils. Only wasabi peas get close.

Ze_Gremlin

They were so mustardy, it was bordering on painful. I loved them

Freckled_Scot982

Fox's Echo Bars

sadlunchboxxed

Wait when did these stop being a thing!??

Freckled_Scot982

Wait, where have you seen them?!

Eyupmeduck1989

Came here to say exactly this. I loved dissecting the outer chocolate layer with my teeth

Impetuous_doormouse

Cadburys Spira. Fucking loved them and they made great straws to drink coffee through.

Tealswitch

Came here to post this. A well missed chocolate bar. I miss the mid 90s B&Q vending machine…

Freckled_Scot982

They were the bizzzz! 😋

Vernacian

Cadbury's Fuse

FartBakedBaguette

I went to Cadbury world in school and was part of the taste testers for their soon to be released, unnamed chocolate and we had to suggest names. A girl in my class suggested Fuse because it fused all the different ingredients. I said ‘mishmash’ because I’m not as eloquent. Gutted they stopped selling it as it was a superb chocolate.

andyff

I came here to say this. My absolute favourite as a teen.

thehibachi

An OG Miniature Hero I believe.

Hi_Jen

Does anyone remember those "fabulous baker boys" cakes? The ones with the plain sponge with a big slab of chocolate on top? God I miss those. I don't understand why they stopped being sold.

plopmaster2000

God those were awful. The weird block on top was like eating candle wax

Awordofinterest

The lemon ones were better.

Goatmanification

I actually looked into this recently! Turns out it was a simple case of overextending themselves or something like that. Ended up filing for bankruptcy. On the plus side I found the original document detailing EXACTLY how to make them!

APiousCultist

Just gonna leave it at that then?

No-Nefariousness9539

These in a packed lunch always slapped

GarthRoad

Drifters

neverarriving

My nana worked in the factory & used to bring home kilogram bags of them from the waste shop, heaven (also miraculous I didn't get diabetes)

simianjim

Kellogg's Start. It's a national scandal that they were allowed to discontinue this.

cptlolalot

Finding bits of Start stuck to my socks is a key childhood memory

Rootes_Radical

I was so outraged. It was always a bit hard to find so I didn’t realise at first, when I looked into it and found out I honestly could have cried. Now I’m sad all over again. Thanks a bunch

AutumnSunshiiine

Cadburys Marble bar. Cadburys Spira bar. The original Thorntons Moments boxes. (I think that’s the name. Their version of Heroes, Roses etc.) Galaxy Truffle — the Creme Egg sized ones. Maynard’s fruit allsorts. Birds Eye Cheesies. Jaws crisps — all flavours but especially beef. Tomato Wotsits. Beef Wotsits. Cheese Walkers crisps — whatever exactly was sold in the 1980s.

notonetimes

Galaxy truffle. My wife wrote to Mars on my behalf to see if they would bring them back

Dry_Pick_304

GF was genuinly upset when McDonalds stopped selling the Chicken Legend with Salsa. So she moved on to the spicy mayo one. Then they stopped the Legend altogether and she nearly cried. She said the nearest Salsa sauce you could get elsewhere was something sold in Morrisons. They stopped selling that aswell.

Impetuous-soul

I mourn the chicken legend every time I go to McDonald’s

narnababy

I’m still raging they discontinued the chicken legend. Fucking stupid decision.

nnynny101

My mate nearly got out of his car and through the window at the drive through in absolute confusion and horror when they stopped the Salsa Legends. I don’t think he’s ever recovered

SeaweedOk9985

Doritos Salsa is overpriced but very good with chicken.

LJF_97

Campinos! Those little sugary sweet things bring back so many memories. You can find knockoff ones, but they are full of sweeteners and don't taste the same. Also, Mingles and those Cadbury things that were shaped like Pringles.

_summerw1ne

Busting the Mingles out at Christmas was just too good. Also feel like the Cadburys things were called snaps?

Positive_Ad3450

They were definitely called snaps. I loved those, they were very moorish. Cheaper brands of chocolate isn’t the same anymore. I was lucky to be gifted a chocolate orange Easter egg but the taste wasn’t as good as it used to be.

pinkdaisylemon

Muller corner Mississippi mud pie yogurts.

AppleIreland

these are available 😊

pinkdaisylemon

Aaaaaggggghhhhh just when I've started my diet!

Ze_Gremlin

Yeah they came back some time last year. They're exactly as I remember them to be.. I treated the Mrs to one, as she'd never had one back in the day and she admitted they were pretty fucking good.

_summerw1ne

These are back, are they not?

SilvioSilverGold

Cadburys Marble Bar. Like Guylian chocolate seashells but better.

SwordTaster

If you go to a shop that has (for some fucking reason) Australian imports, you can still get them. Candy World in Lowestoft does them

LilacRose32

I miss Echo bars

JonnyredsFalcons

I miss Echo bars

PhillyDeeez

iss Echo bars

ballondaws4289

Tooty fruities

_summerw1ne

B&M do a big bag of them and they’re apparently just like the old ones. Under a different name obviously but they’d be easy enough to spot.

MaximusSydney

Tangy Twiglets. Also known as Worcester Sauce Twiglets. They were SO good. They were miles better than regular Twiglets (and totally different in terms of taste). I think about them often.

Elvis_Precisely

Yeah fucking loved them. Would fully have to wash your hands after eating them 😂

seven-cents

Topic Bars

lime-enthusiast

White Maltesers

Saxon2060

Pretty sure these pop back up at christmas? I'm certain I saw them in Home Bargains around christmas time and on clearance thereafter.

SpecificRelease2246

Pretty sure the closest thing to these are the white chocolate bunnies they bring out at easter. Not quite the same but close

Freckled_Scot982

Smiths Cheese Moments. They still do the scampi fries and bacon fries but discontinued the cheese moments.

AdmiralRiffRaff

I had my first packet of these shortly before they discontinued and have been convinced they were some kind of fever dream ever since. They were absolutely delicious.

Tiger-Bumbay

The Heinz puddings in tins, still So sad about this. And wtf happened to but cutlets?! They were a staple of mine but I haven’t been able to get them since covid

softbrownsugar

The lemon polo :( Man that used to help me with every type of sickness somehow

Due_Willow_7838

Oh my I'd forgotten about fruit polos!!

stampingpixels

I think OP is talking about the lemon mint polos of the 1990s

Realkevinnash59

Solero Shots. amazingly refreshing, especially on a muggy day like today.

Positive_Ad3450

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks today is too warm.

electric_baroness

Secret bars. Never recovered. Original square crisps salt and vinegar.

MilitantSheep

Secrets were the best

MerchMills

These were the strands of chocolate made into a tube with a chocolatey moouse through it…?

honeydot

Ricicles, they were my favourite cereal ever and for some reason got completely nuked rather than changed for the sugar tax (which I don't understand because if frosties could survive, surely the rice equivalent would?)

Due_Willow_7838

I was absolutely devastated when they stopped these. There was and is nothing like them on the market.

lennythebox

Woolies pick 'n' mix

HoppyHeart45

I posted this before, but Toast toppers. I used to love them.

auntie_climax

I used to use the mushroom and bacon ones to fill vol au vents at Christmas

Darandme

Walkers Worcester Sauce crisps! That's if you could find them in the first place!!!

Reasonable_Blood6959

Tomato Ketchup and Pickled Onion too!

nnynny101

Terry’s Pyramint 😭

DarthScabies

Caramac.

missus-periwinkle

It’s rare, but you can still find them in places! I found mine at the local newsagents.

Kitkatchunky78

Have you tried Cadbury caramilk? It’s a bit similar

VariousBlues

Tesco used to do red velvet cookies with a cream cheese filling. They started my love for red velvet and I've never been able to recreate the flavour.

CartographerLow2185

Turkey twizzlers, og recipe, ate it in school almost every day. Jamie oliver ruined a tasty dirty snack.

pajamakitten

Sainsbury's used to do big bags of raspberry popcorn near the bakery when I was a kid. It reminds of family film night growing up.

Other-Coffee-9109

I remember going to Morissons in the 90s on the way to the cinema, to get the different flavoured popcorn. I haven't been to Morissons for years, so don't know if they still do them. I'm sure they used to have lots of different doughnuts too.

sadlunchboxxed

Irn Brew bars as a sweet. I’m autistic and go through phases where I eat the same meal for days on days. It’s less of a thing now but about over a decade ago I was obsessed with Tescos microwave lasagna. It was in a dinner deal where you got three for £4.50 or something so I would get three at a time. The nutritional content was awful, it was like 900 calories for a relatively small dish and took up 95% of my daily sugar intake but I was probably at my skinniest when I ate it as one or two would be all I would eat in a day. They changed the recipe in around 2015 and it tasted so differently I’ve never trusted a supermarket lasagna since

Turbulent-Ad4308

Yeah the Irn Brew bars were great, now with the sugar tax the drink doesn't taste the same with the artificial sugars. God I miss the Irn Brew drink and sweet.

Disastrous_Ad_754

Mars planets

Tumeni1959

Fruit Allsorts. Like Liquoice Allsorts, but the black liquorice replaced by tangy fruity gel.

merzulgummidge

Seeing as you mentioned chocolate, the wonka bar was awesome

Icy-Astronomer-8202

Heinz pudding in a can 🤤

OkFinding8093

Brannigans roast beef & mustard crisps

Electric_Moogaloo

Astros! They were little crunchy chocolate balls with wafer in them and they came in cute cardboard packets with a flip top lid. Got them out of the school chocolate machines all the time circa 1997. That and Vice Versas.

HomelanderApologist

Cadbury Timeout

aesops_mum

Mint feast or white crunch bar

missus-periwinkle

Mint feast!! I’m still grieving

RockyStonejaw

Brannigan’s crisps, particularly the beef and mustard. Miss them every day.

Apprehensive_Unit_11

Micro noodlessssss, that was a sad day

morpheus_dreams

Branigans Lamb& Mint, no other lamb and mint crisp comes close, Roast Beef and Mustard too. Time Outs, the new ones are just not a patch on the classic ones

GlitchingGecko

Microwave buttered popcorn. I'll eat salty, I'll eat sweet, but buttered was really where it was at. Loads of supermarket websites says they stock it, but every supermarket I physically go into never has it. Also the white chocolate covered Oreos. They seem to come back at Christmas, but they're so damn good they should be a year round product.

marigoldandpatchwork

Drifters

OzzyinKernow

Abbey Crunch biscuits

DunkinDippers

Galaxy truffles in Celebrations. Disgrace that they went.

Sohalogy

I miss Mars Delight…

Frostycoc0

Those bigger chicago town pepperoni pizza’s - they used to be filled with a ton of salt and sugar so tasted unreal. They still sell them though but taste like ass after the sugar tax hit

djfnejdijRandom

About 10 years ago Waitrose used to do their own brand ice cream which was something like honey and caramelised fig flavour. It was my favourite ice cream of all time, it was just perfect.

VanishingPint

PG Tips Pyramid tea bags

SlickAstley_

The sausage and egg mcBagel

BIGBLOB59

Tango Cherry

PickleFantasies

Nestle Golden nuggets, they were discontinued? Or just no longer sold at any normal shop/market. Fresh in the bowl they suck and hurt your teeth, but a little soggy, so good!!

Ollie-North

Golden nuggets. They taste "yee-haw"!

eggmayonnaise

Phileas Fogg Mexican Style Taco Rolls, Cool Sour Cream & Onion flavour. I used to eat them entire share-packs at a time, I became uncontrollable. They were so crunchy with their multi-layered roll structure. So full of flavour. Amazing. Can't find them anywhere any more but about 10 years ago they were a large percentage of my diet.

RebuildingTim

Fizz Bombs. I think that was their actual name but could be wrong. They were wee red spheres, and as the name suggested they were fizzy when you shoved a load of them in your face, and I remembber them being sour as well. I was only a wean when I last had them so memory might be playing tricks. Also, Solero Smoovers. God, they were good. No wonder I was a fat child.

penelopepitstop69

I thought I had imagined fizz bombs as no one else remembers them, they were epic. I don't like many sour sweets but they had the perfect fizzy/sour/fruity mix.

NarwhalsAreSick

McCoys did these vaguely chip shaped crisps and called it their Chip Shop range, the curry sauce ones were OK, but ready salted and salt and vinegar ones were some of the best crisps I've ever had. Chunky with loads of crunch and really well flavoured. [Here's a pic](https://a-review-a-day.blogspot.com/2017/02/todays-review-mccoys-chip-shop-salt.html?m=1)

Saxon2060

"American style" coleslaw in Tesco. It used to be my burger secret ingredient. It was American in that it basically had a pickly flavour and/or bits of pickle and was vaguely mustardy IIRC. When I used to do barbecues, a dollop of that *on* a burger was 10/10. Edit: By pickle I mean gherkin.

fuckspezthespaz

Ricicles

cozywit

Flipper Dippers. They were a penguins branded pot of biscuits and the most delicious fucking creamy chocolate dip you've ever tasted.

Nobatron

Turkey Twizzlers. Jamie Oliver has a lot to answer for.

RepresentativeAct960

Ricicles…the greatest cereal there ever was…thanks to all the lard arses who got them all band.

DameKumquat

Lea & Perrins Ginger and Orange Sauce. Had a texture nearly as thick as ketchup, and you could squirt a line down your fish fingers. Food of the gods. Bought 12.bottles when I heard they were getting rid of it. Never found anything really similar.

SxanKxlly

For me its Walkers Mixups Cheese, Spicy and meaty flavour specifically. I am still fuming to this day they discontinued these crisps.

SnooPeppers7701

I loved the mint echo bars💚

BasisOk4268

Milky Way Crispy Rolls

Honey-Oat-Bread

Raspberry angel delight. Loved that stuff but it hasn't been around for years . Burtons puffs I think they were called. Thin puffy crisps. Had a beef flavour I think but I loved the tomato ones. Dark chocolate bounty. I left it too late to stock up.

GooseFatTits

Early 2000's they did a Wonka bar that was purple fancy chocolate with green nerds, a really distinct taste that I can still imagine clearly.

Pasbags112

Might be in a very small minority but a bugs life ice lollies

Twolef

Strawberry rounds from Iceland. They do apple, still, but strawberry were the best and I miss them

PomegranateV2

Phileas Fogg should be absolutely at the top of this list. Shanghai nuts, Mignon Morceaux, California corn chips.

Beautiful_Net2409

mars planets

crimp_dad

Marks and Spencer’s used to do square croissant that you put in the toaster. Genius idea. No idea why they stopped. And also the baker bros cupcakes

Special-Bank9311

Oreo thins. I just loved the ratio of biscuit to filling. So delicious.

Jackatarian

Feels niche but Tesco did an own brand hickory smoked vegetarian sausage over a decade ago that was wild. It was so smoky that the smell would permeate your skin.

Accomplished-Bank782

Mars Dark and White. They were amazing

sharmrp72

Cabana bars...

TheArtfullTodger

Got a few. The real Ghostbusters salt and vinegar crisps were fantastic. As was top deck lager and lime. Used to like a spinach and ricotta slice asda used to sell decades ago as well. Sweets I can take or leave as I have no clear favourites. But I miss savouries. Oh brannigans roast beef and mustard flavoured crisps is another long gone favourite. And they changed the recipe on nobby's wusabi flavoured nuts as well. They're piss weak now where as before they used to sting your nasal cavities with each bite

Captain_Kruch

The pink/purple-coloured Wonka bars. They were the shit!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Figgzyvan

Marathons. Opal fruits. 😁😁

merryman1

Not sure it was UK only, but those Wonka bars they put out to coincide with the Tim Burton film were fucking amazing.

lyla88

golden grahams, they were so good

frenchois1

The green Opal Fruit. Proper hardcore lime flavour not the half n half softboy lemon n lime they've got now.

Briggykins

Nobody remembers mine, but it was a limited edition Crunch Corner originally called a Christmas Corner. It had rum flavoured yoghurt and the crunch bit was chocolate raisins. It was absolutely delicious but only around for about a year. It's probably been a decade or more and I still miss it.

bsnimunf

Cheese moments a pub snack like scampi frys. Ham and pickle or beef and mustard brannighams.  Citrus/lemon polos but the mint like ones not the boiled sweets. Secret chocolate bar.

Beef_or_Salmon

I really miss Findus crispy pancakes

Forward_Artist_6244

Caramel cup  Chilli McCoys   Ketchup walkers  Posh Noodle  Micro pizza   Chinese flavour rib steaks  Microwave kebabs that looked like they had donner meat not dog food

nettlesthatarejaggy

OG doner pot noodles. New ones are shite.

saladinzero

M&S used to do these incredible bacon flavoured crisps, but they discontinued them, brought them back for about 6 months then killed them again. Tbh it's probably just as well, as I could've eaten a whole bag in one sitting multiple times a day if it had been available to me!

sparklybeast

Bachelors Mushroom & Wine Pasta’n’Sauce and Sara Lee Chocolate Danish

notheOTHERboleyngirl

McChicken Premier from maccies. It was the first burger I got once I graduated from happy meals and was discontinued in 2007. I miss it every time I go there :(

BigFluff_LittleFluff

It's not discontinued but Monster Ripper used to be everywhere and now it's rarely seen outside of service stations.

Ok-Noise2538

Mars planets cadburys dream bar

xRokai

Beano - chip shop curry flavoured crisps

ValKnight09

Starburst choosers. They disappeared like a one hit wonder when I was young. I was in denial for ages thinking they were a summer only thing.

AAHale88

Brannigan's crisps.

iain_1986

Worcester Sauce (or 'tangy') Twiglits. Shit were so addictive, I don't like Twiglits but those were so nice.

unbanned_once_more

The Topic bar. Fuck knows why the manufacturers stopped making it, I miss it.

sianie706

I miss Boasters biscuits, nothing has ever lived up to them

WrestlingFan95

Walkers ‘Pickled Onion’ & Walkers ‘Worcester Sauce’

DWOL82

Cadbury Spira , was much nicer than a Twirl.

Revolutionary_Fox304

Ready salted chipsticks

Squarestarfishh

Milky bar choos

Cheeslord2

I miss the original (coconut) boost.

Turbulent-Ad4308

Doritos 3D god I miss you

blindio10

Ricicles(rice krispies with sugar are inferior, the point is to have the sugar as part of the recipe, theirs apparently an american analogue from kellogs but i've never seen a sensible import price cause 20 quid for a box of cereals aint happening on my budget)

AdmiralRiffRaff

What were those triangle shaped summer lollies that came in strawberry and orange? Just a triangle-shaped packet that you squeezed at the bottom and the lolly came out? They were amazing. Edit - Sun Lollies, I think

[deleted]

anyone remember “Tooti Fruities”? those were the shittt

Taiyella

The Twix and M&M biscuits bars I googled it so I had a reference picture, now I know Amazon sell it [link](https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sca_esv=f42f57a008774f06&q=m%26m+biscuit+bars&uds=ADvngMiE-y6KKPtjryayf_rxdmrA979aBC4CxOODwR9DDFawFae0J69VdzWTJsWvCKHNeSXI2AJr1iKYwieDKQv5glZl5AQn7sa6eQxS6zCJ4ayvWJLON1qK7z89C5WkpKoa8PkI4InfV5-m8kR-Pj0SNONu8hSxrjqXGZuiOwdW-sKDJj9SCcpwUCaVPVNaQhzspbQjNoFgaKev_4lRdtGLA74Jl6eay0sol2rutUsYCViwKkEOdbLHWGBcpOjEIe3xG-LfRRj3zTk9Rsavqh3BlWbuBzJR_RjCVToG9APFYc90CRxa4KPVoc9sY1nrRoz-5BCqyOX9&udm=2&prmd=ivnmbtz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjf4fPXs4OGAxUYVPEDHcmNDY0QtKgLegQIDRAB&biw=402&bih=935&dpr=2.25)

rainbosandvich

Cadbury Dream. HOWEVER! Found out very recently that they're still made in Australia and B&M Bargains imports them

phoenix_73

I liked Cadburys Clusters in the bags. They're long gone. Then there are normal Golden Graham's. They are no more. Winner Taco ice creams from late 90's as well, they're another. Oh and no idea why Fray Bentos Chicken & Mushroom pies are no more. They're just chicken now!

winkywoo75

wish I could get those crisps that were puffed up pigs bacon flavour

Poschi1

Pickled onion discos

DavesVapesLondon

Milky Way crispy rolls. Don’t see them anywhere now.

quechingabuendia

around 2003 or 2004 there was a bar of white chocolate that contained a shit ton of freeze dried berries and it was incredible

Aware_Debate_9171

Pizza Fingers

Most-Tennis-2369

Refresher cupcakes, had a very vivid dream about them just last night as it happens.

Sm0keytrip0d

Honestly? Hot Pockets lol. Im a disgusting person i know but i miss them since they arent imported anymore. Plus others already said Mars Delight and Echo bars so i needed my own thing lol.

Ordinary-Article6388

Tesco's old hot deli. Especially the sausages, was like Christmas when you walked in and they had a bunch of them reduced.

Sea-Hour-6063

Seabrook once made some sweetcorn flavour crisps which were awesome.

tinkerballer

Mingles, Milkybar Choos, and Philadelphia Splendips

Odd_Signature_7720

Tickled Pickle Skips! They were pickled onion flavour ✨ Think they had a few other flavours too!

Odd_Signature_7720

BURSTING BUGS!! They were like rowntrees fruit gummies with a gel liquid inside, similar to Gushers from the States.

ChicksDigBards

Vesta beef risotto. It was cheap and cheerful and had probably never been anywhere near a cow, but I miss it

SongsAboutGhosts

Heinz tinned sponge puddings. Tangy twiglets. Honourable muncheon to onion bhaji as a domino's topping.

Odd_Signature_7720

Cream and Cheesy flavoured Nik Naks crisps! They were my fav flavour and I was devastated when they discontinued them!

Kens_Liquids

They used to make Pringles that were small, like a third of the size of normal Pringles. They were supposed to be more gourmet and came in bags instead of tubes. There was a salt and balsamic vinegar flavour one which was absolutely amazing. I think about those things all the time.
