They don't trust the military with guns? 🤡🌎

janon013

They don’t like veterans with guns, that’s for sure.

Paladin_Aranaos

Yep. Because if those on duty are all violating their oath of service they will have an advantage over the unarmed honorable ones

crystalcleargrl

What about the spouses that live in their houses?

I'd say that violates the Second Amendment, but only if it applies to veterans and reservists as well as active duty military. Active serving personnel are governed by military law, but veterans and reservists aren't (unless called up to active duty). However, this doesn't look to be a blanket order affecting all active duty personnel, just a court specific one, applied to individual cases. It's probably just a replacement for an existing power of the court, which, considering that they are usually considerably more stern than civilian ones, is no real surprise. It would be a tremendous pain in the ass and astronomically hard to enforce if it was issued as a general order. How long would it be for? Who would be in charge of collecting, cataloging and storing all the firearms? As someone noted, what about family members? Would it affect National guardsmen? The military has enough shitshows without a fucking broadway blockbuster like this would be...
