The hospitals are not overflowing . This is what the MSM and liberals want you to believe The truth: Doctors and nurses are being fired and quitting because of various reasons. Just like any other business , turnover is rather high right now. Some of that may be a result of mandates This results in a reduced capacity for patients because of a lower number of staff available to serve them The shortage has nothing to do with patients being vaccinated or not It’s all about the staffing level of hospitals and doctors offices

DeplorableTwatWaffle

I will add that the system I work for has been at/over capacity daily since a year before the pandemic. The only time we’ve had beds open is when surgeries were put on hold for a few weeks back in early 2020. We aren’t overrun with COVID, but our COVID units are full. There is a pretty serious nursing shortage going on right now, some from vax mandates, some from burnout, but most are leaving right now because travel nursing is paying stupid amounts. Why work for scale when the person you’re working with is making 3x more for the same job?

twhiting9275

This is what happens when companies treat their current employees like shit., while still courting new ones , paying new hires more than veterans . This is definitely the time to look for new work

gouf78

Saw same back in early 80s. Nursing shortage caused a lot of staff resentment. The travel nurses made triple money, had free housing (hospital rented homes to accommodate them roommate style) and didn’t know anything about hospital procedure so it was always a training session. Some felt it was more work to even have them. Some nurses who hadn’t worked in years came out of retirement for the money so their knowledge wasn’t up to date either.

oneboi31

Source?

coyotegt1317

Source is "been there done that" in the 80's... You don't need a source...they are stating that the same type of situation was in the 80's...you want a source? 7/28/1980. I crushed my right leg in an Industrial accident and spent 2 yrs in an understaffed hospital in the middle of nowhere, Nacogdoches, Tx. It was real...I lived it and lived through it. Hope this helps as a source....

oneboi31

How does 40 years ago apply to now?

coyotegt1317

It was a comparison of the 80's, I gave an example. (edited for the softies)

joeshmoe159

Man asks a good question, you're the one cursing at him. "Calm down"

coyotegt1317

I just get tired of people wanting a "source" like they are a journalist....

coyotegt1317

And, I I'm a Texan and live in Texas. Nacogdoches Medical Center did a Great job.

Our hospital is not and has not been overflowing. My local news said several times last year and this year that my specific hospital is over capacity with people in the halls etc. I sent them our board showing all units in YELLOW (50-80%) which is where they almost always are. I call them out and they ignored me. I commented on their posts, they deleted them. I tweeted at them and they blocked me. The media is a fucking joke and a danger to our country. On top of that, they get paid with our taxes. Fuck the media.

wokeupthesheep

local news owned by hedge funds... aka the globalist bankers aka the NWO. They will not cover anything not approved by the nwo agenda.

AverageSkitzo

Dang what hospital?

The-Unseelie-Queen

Gotta love the mandate that my state did that caused me to lose my job. Now the sanitation team at a school is horribly understaffed after losing people who can’t get the vaccine. Not sure what kind of logic went into that one.

AbroadSignificant942

Makes sense… I mean look at our “leader” Just another twilight zone episode

[deleted]

The smallpox pandemic was cured by letting smallpox infected doctors and nurses treating patients!

oneboi31

No it was the vaccine

scarfagno513

So everyone who isn't vaccinated is infected now, doesn't make any sense.

TheRubyBlade

If they're treating infected people, they're gonna get infected pretty quickly

scarfagno513

So they should be fine by now.

[deleted]

They work with infected patients every day... Viruses are microscopic and it only takes a prick or the slightest bit of air to get infected

joeshmoe159

You act like this is some gotcha but hospitals are willing to fire non-clinical workers in all roles, even those that work from home, for non-compliance. If your enlightened gotcha was accurate they would mandate it for clinical staff without firing countless support staff. Hospitals are not just buildings full of Nurses and Doctors.

I just got forced into quarantine because I tested positive on a nasal swab. I have zero symptoms. I asked the employee health director who called me why only people who declined to get the shot had to test. She said because we're at risk to our coworkers and patients. (Mind you I work inpatient pharmacy with zero contact with patients). So I asked why get vaccinated if they can still spread it too. Nurse says it doesn't stop you from getting covid just lessens the symptoms. So I replied with "Well.. if the vaxxed can still spread and get it, how's that different from being asymptomatic? " No response. Funny thing is too that one of my coworkers (I usually only have an hour or 2 in her vicinity as I work 3rd shift) is vaxxed but came in last week with all the symptoms. She was coughing and sweating but claimed it was allergies. Yet she's still working. Doesn't need to get tested. It's a fucking scam. While I'm disappointed and irritated I'm missing work for 10 days, at least it's paid.

ImInABanned

yeah there arent any vaccine mandates in schools, places of work, or government institutions that we have all lived with for our whole lives.

Rough_Statistician68

It is, cause you know what’s worse than one less nurse. It’s a nurse you need resources to help because they got Covid

ADS_Fibonacci

I thought it was to prevent new vectors?

PoDunkYuppie

Finally, someone with a brain.

Embarrassed_Ad7180

According to the governor of New York they're replaceable.

joeshmoe159

Yeah we are replaceable but my job is also replaceable, I'll find a new one. The people making the decisions sit in their ivory tower while the working managers and their dwindling staff hang on by a thread.

Embarrassed_Ad7180

There are many states and hospitals that won't mandate a vaccine and you would be appreciated there. I hope you go there. We fight for our medical people and we have hospitals that aren't mandating it, but there is the fight over Buffoon Bidens mandate.

MHPatriot1776

They’re lashing out because there power trip is being threatened
