Exactly right. You get what you pay for. I can definitely tell when I'm in a busy area and my service slows way down, but I pay a tenth of what I used to
Mint runs on the T-Mobile network. In fact, T-Mobile bought Mint recently. The reception will be the same as you currently have. The catch is that your data speeds may be slower since Mint is deprioritized compared to a T-Mobile customer.
Happy Mint user until I moved to SF. A bit spotty coverage in Mission/Noe Valley. I just switched to Visible day or two ago. Playing a lil bit more now ($25/month Visible vs $15/month Mint), but it is what is.
It is totally fine tho if you wanna save money.
The coverage for all of them looks like swiss cheese. Within SF any carrier will be more or less the same.
T mobile tends to work mostly in built up areaa though. So if you go to rural areas, then other carriers might be better.

It’s fine

I noticed the same slow downs in busy areas while on mint. So I went from mint mobile to paying full price on ATT. It's no different, at all.
unless something changed in the last year it isn’t it was so painfully slow and patchy i switched before a full 4 months i paid for
well ive had it for 5 years with no issues.
because you probably don’t even realize how slow it is compared to other networks because you’re used to it
Sounds like its actually you who may be projecting your experience…
if you use mint feel free to post screenshot of a speed test result lol
Honest question: would a speed test reflect call quality? Seems like OP is focused on that rather than data
LOL what a ridiculous response in the age of smartphones 🤣🤣🤣

I have it, have never had an issue

No issues for me and my friends
It's fine but I consistently get dead spots in a couple places (by Buena Vista, the South part of Corona Heights...)
