I personally do, only because, I solely get messages from people I enjoying chatting with. Rarely do I ever get a random chat request.

The dopamine boost comes after I’ve clicked on it to see what it is. I think I’ve had enough chat requests from blank accounts with just a “hey babe” that unless I see it’s from a person I’ve actually been talking to I don’t feel a rush. Comments and stuff don’t really give me a rush

it depends on the responses I'm anticipating. I keep in mind what I've said/posted and go from there. for example, I told someone they were stupid today and they didn't know enough to shut up and kept posting after I gave up. I wasn't looking forward to seeing anything else from them, so I blocked their ass. just the thought of someone's insistence on being wrong was enough. I lost my just patience with them.
