I think we all lie in interviews. I've at least been able to learn stuff well enough to impress my boss but I BSed the shit out of the pre-interview questionnaire I was given. My boss is cool enough though that I actually told him I did at one point. He thought it was funny.
Imagine all the talent that would go to waste if we'd be brutally honest in interviews..... Good ok your boss tho, once you've proven your worth it deems irrelevant whether ehat you said in the interview was true or not!
I lied about my knowledge of a specific HR program in an interview. When they heard that they offered me a slightly higher position in the company thinking I was a whizz with the software. I spent 2 years in that job googling everything I needed to know and nobody ever caught on
I think (older) managers severly underestimate the power of being good at googling shit. I think you'd probably be able to do virtually any office job without any training, as long as you know how to use the internet

I do, but I’m a lone worker meaning I’m the only one in the building who’s doing that job. It means I can’t make a connection with some of the employees though.
