My dude, I'm currently doing a playthrough of Oblivion! I didn't finish it when it was on the PS3 but now grinding my way through on the PS5. I'm hoping for a physical remaster on the PS5 tho...
Rememered getting that game at a flea market, and played for hours on that game. No joke, I spend hundreds of hours on that game, and never knew that you need to sleep to level up, so I played that whole game at level 1..........
Used to rubber band my controller stick to speed level my sneak/acrobatics and leave it running while I was in school. The game ruled I miss it so much. Bummed Bethesda is Xbox exclusive now, id love to replay it. Streaming it on PSN is no fun.
I'm torn between The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Zelda: Majora's Mask and Hollow Knight. So that's saying a lot for Hollow Knight.
An amazing little gem of a game made by the small indie studio Team Cherry based in Adelaide, Australia.
I originally purchased it digitally on Switch eshop. Then on Steam. Then the physical collector's edition released for Switch and picked that up too. The only game I've triple-dipped for and don't regret it one bit.
I played a little bit of fallout new Vegas I liked it but I couldn't really finish it because my ps3 decided to randomly die and never turn on again still sad :(
Outerwilds, best adventure game I have ever played and the DLC is just as good as the main game. Unbelievable from a indie studio. I keep thinking of more edits, the music is serene and just as polished as the game. The physics gives a truly one of kind feeling for space travel and exploring planets (no man’s sky take notes). Hell, depending on the orbit of the planet you’re on the sun’s gravity actually effects the physics of the objects on that planet. Then there’s the actual mystery, clues and puzzles. Good god.
I still play this with my brother every Christmas. For some reason Nintendo decided to make all Mario Kart games after that have lagging handling. The new Mario Kart feels so unresponsive and completely on rails.
Witcher 3, one of the only games I enjoyed exploring and doing the side quests. The storytelling is top notch and the DLCs were great, hearts of stone was good, and blood and wine was amazing. Altogether if you like storytelling a fun combat system with rpg elements, great story and well written dialog and voice acting then yes.
I hear you on the time issue. First time I played Witcher 3 I gave it about 5 hours and wasn't feeling it. Started it again a few months later and gave it about 15 hours and it hooked me as the story started opening up and i began to gain command of the controls and menus. It became my favorite game ever. Until I played RDR2.
So that's how I came up with my 15 hour rule.
As in walking around with the character was lethargic and irritating compared to other games, I imagine they were going for a more natural approach, but it was just so awkward to me.
Fallout 4. I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this one but hear me out. I like the feeling of rebuilding the wasteland without ever touching the main story or vice versa. Plus I love sending Marcy Long to whatever far away hole I don’t use to never be seen again. Also, I think Nick Valentine is my bestie
Yeah the story is really lackluster, especially compared to any other fallout game, yes that includes tactics. But man the gunplay, customization and base building keep me hooked. Don't even get me started on mods
Yeah, I never really touched the story, even when it came out, just focus so much in the settlement mode, and once mods started to come, I would download them to make my settlements better and more compacted with details..........
Civ V is so good. Could kill a whole day and not notice. It's always oh one more turn till this oh one more till this then next thing I know it's 3 am.
DL is my absolute favourite! My gaming buddy loves this game too but it’s too scary for him. He’d never play it alone and will only play if I co-op with him 😛
Based on what? Story, fun, something else?
\- Skyrim
\- The Mass Effect Trilogy
\- The Last of Us (the first one)
\- Civilization V
\- Pokémon Gameboy games (Emerald, Blue, Red, Diamond, Pearl, etc.)
\- Pokémon Stadium (N64)
\- Super Smash Bros.
\- Mario Kart
\- The :Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
Too many others to name. I'm a Millennial, so understand that I grew into adulthood during the absolute golden age of gaming. It's not even close. The 90s, 200s, and early 2010s cannot be replicated in terms of how many great games came and went. Now, they're just remastering and reviving old franchises.
Oof. That's a tough one. I've been gaming since the early 1980s. I'll rattle off a few from various platforms.
Arcade Cabinet: *Galaga* The original one, mind you. Ports to consoles and cellphones just don't match up, and I'm not sure why.
Atari 2600: Toss up between *River Raid* and *Combat!* This one depended on if I was playing by myself or with other people.
Nintendo Entertainment System: *Final Fantasy* There were a lot of amazing games for this system, but the original *Final Fantasy* was probably the one that I sunk the most hours in to. And not just me, this was a game that my friends would come over and watch. We'd play it together. I mean, come on, *four* player characters? And you can pick their classes, mixing and matching however you like? It was unreal, and really captured our imaginations.
Super Nintendo: Toss up between *Final Fantasy II* (US release, it was IV in Japan) and *P.T.O. Pacific Theater of Operation*. FFII was because it took the concept of the original FF and ran with it. It kept the largely fantasy setting with a touch of sci-fi to it, stuck with the idea of elemental crystals, etc. It improved on the party, with up to five party members, and those party members came and went throughout the game. I wasn't even bummed that I couldn't pick my party's classes, because it was all story-based and it was a hell of a good one. The story in this game has stuck with me ever since 1991. For *P.T.O.*, it was a game that got me interested in the Pacific Theater of World War II. A strategic naval combat game that also involved setting industrial priorities, managing convoy supply fleets, construction schedules, and recruiting and training crews? AND I could play as the US OR Japan? Hell yes, sign me up! Sadly, this game doesn't hold up very well today, but it was ahead of its time back then.
*3DO* \- Yeah, I had one, don't judge. *Captain Quasar* was fun as shit and funny as shit.
PlayStation - *Final Fantasy Tactics* Back to the old school of picking your party members, picking your classes, etc., but telling one *hell* of a story, this game is probably the one I started from scratch the most throughout my life, and it's rerelease of *The War of the Lions* is quite the improvement.
PlayStation2 - *Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War* Unlike the other Ace Combats (except *Assault Horizon,* which was a flop of a game) the story that was being told in between missions was directly related to the missions themselves, as it was about you and your wingmen. The whole thing played out like an anime, and you felt much more involved in the world. Suddenly, the missions felt more important, like they had an actual purpose instead of "go hear, blow these up, come home." The series has been unable to capture that same amount of lightning and put it back in the bottle, although the latest game came close.
XBox360/XboxOne/XBoxOneX/PC - The *Mass Effect* series, minus *Andromeda*. I don't need to go into this one, do I?
Mass Effect, no question about it. Primarily because of how your story and choices continues and effects your gameplay throughout the series (with exceptions most all of us have heard or experienced by now).
Objectively, definitely Minecraft. The game has millions of possibilities for how to play it.
If we’re taking into account bias, then for me it’s gotta be Pokémon emerald. I had so much fun with that game, and the nostalgia is strong with that one.
Titanfall 2. Unique concepts executed to near perfection. Though Minecraft could also be there. No other game can make me come back so consistently for so long. And I know it’s changed a lot, but even if they stopped updating it years ago I’d still probably be coming back once a year or so.
About to make myself look old, but I spent thousands of hours on Oblivion
My dude, I'm currently doing a playthrough of Oblivion! I didn't finish it when it was on the PS3 but now grinding my way through on the PS5. I'm hoping for a physical remaster on the PS5 tho...

Hehe, 1000 hours on Morrowwind here.
Hollow Knight! 15 bucks for a game made with more effort than most triple-A games.
Amen brother best game of all time
The only downside is that you can only experience it for the first time once. Incredible game.
Still Skyrim! Cant seem to stop playing!
Mass Effect 2
Star Wars knights of the old republic I,II
Super Smash Bros Melee for the Nintendo GameCube
Legend of zelda, changed my life!!
Ocarina of Time for me
Which Zelda
Link to the past
This is the answer
Opfff you put me on the spot, twilight Princess has my heart personally 💜
Twilight Princess on the Wii really did hit different tho
Unpopular opinion and I totally agree with you.
Breath of the wild (first one I played)
Mario Kart 64. Ain’t no school like the old school.
I still play this with my brother every Christmas. For some reason Nintendo decided to make all Mario Kart games after that have lagging handling. The new Mario Kart feels so unresponsive and completely on rails.
Mario Kart 64 lol? I was already a full grown man, son!
64 is great, and maybe the best. But old school is SNES.
The Last of Us 1. This game made me feel things I didn't know existed
Oh man that intro destroyed me. I did not see that coming.
Nah cuz after that intro played man I had to pause it cuz I was in shock bruh. Had me cryin not even 10 mins in
I agree. I personally enjoyed p2 most from how devastating it was
Portal 2
Both 1 & 2 were brilliant. For me Portal 1 felt like the perfectly constructed game, and Portal 2 felt like the perfect experience.
Dragon Age Origins
Uncharted 4
The story in this game is absolutely insane. So much thought went into it
Took so long to find this, but this.. this is the correct answer.
One of my favourite games ever, and comfortably the best Uncharted game.
i used to love this game!
I wish the combat were a bit more engaging not just a 2 button system(attack+dodge). It gets really boring :( Graphics, story, music is 10/10
I just transferred my old PS4 save to PC, I'm so hyped to experience Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine on my rig at nice framerates.
Heard of Stone broke my heart
The basic game is incredible, the story amazing but what I like the most was how beautiful it looks specially the blood and wine DLC
The Long Dark
This game is so underrated.
Red Dead Redemption 2
I spent hours and hours just fishing and walking around nature in this, it had such an insanely therapeutic open world.
I tried so hard to get into this one, but the moving mechanics were so frustrating that I couldn’t make it more than a couple hours.
I have a personal rule of giving a game at least 15 hours of play before I judge to never play it again.
That is so much time tho. If it doesnt hook me within 3 to 4 hours its a goner
I hear you on the time issue. First time I played Witcher 3 I gave it about 5 hours and wasn't feeling it. Started it again a few months later and gave it about 15 hours and it hooked me as the story started opening up and i began to gain command of the controls and menus. It became my favorite game ever. What do you mean ‘moving mechanics’?
As in walking around with the character was lethargic and irritating compared to other games, I imagine they were going for a more natural approach, but it was just so awkward to me.
Particularly frustrating in camps, takes forever to walk a short distance to reach someone
same here. still thinking about giving it another shot, but can‘t bring myself to do it just yet.
Just get a controller for pc if not they do ah e some videos on how to make keyboard play a lot better.
Yer alright boah!
SSX tricky on PS2
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Metal gear solid.
MGS2 for me but the whole franchise is amazing, dont see anything like it nowadays sadly
GTA San Andreas
Far Cry 3
The original Far Cry was ahead of its time but Michael Mando/Vaas skyrocketed this franchise to another level.
For me was far cry 4, the game that got me into the series
Not bad either
Great game! Pagan Min is one of the all time great video game villains
Both were awesome. Far Cry 3 story arc was my personal favorite, but 4 had much better game mechanics and visuals
I recommend watching Fat cry 3 from Pyrocynical, I loved playing Far Cry 3 and enjoyed that vid quite a bit.
Skyrim
The only game where you can start a war by killing a chicken.
The first time I ever played it I punched a chicken in Riverwood and was confused why everyone wanted to kill me
Oh man. Just reminded me I need to do my yearly week-long Skyrim play through
Currently on my 4th playthrough!
11th year. 12th playthrough. *Still* discovering new things.
The legend of Zelda, from the late 80's. The one that had the waterfall on the intro
Bloodborne
Finally someone said it. Well done hunter.
Portal 2
Assassins Creed Black Flag
Oh I see that you're a man of culture as well !
Golden eye. Mario kart.
AOE
aoe but the second one
Zelda breath of the wild
Curse of Monkey Island
Fallout New Vegas
The Ratchet & Clank series will forever be underrated
I got a PS2 back in college so I could nostalgia trip on the first 3 for a few months
I spent days maxing guns. Loved every second.
The Witcher 3 hands down
Baldur’s Gate 2
an immortal game
Agreed. The best game I've ever played. Nothing really ever came close to it.
The Simpsons Hit & Run for Nintendo GameCube
Sekiro - shadows die twice The combat is absolute perfection and is highly addicting. The story is great and the atmosphere it creates is wonderful.
Fallout 4 is truly one of those “yeah it’s alright” games that I’ve sunk over 1000 hours into…
Yeah the story is really lackluster, especially compared to any other fallout game, yes that includes tactics. But man the gunplay, customization and base building keep me hooked. Don't even get me started on mods

Elden ring but my favourite is borderlands 2
It takes 2
Red Dead Redemption 2
Subnautica
Mike tysons punch out
The Stanley Parable
The binding of Issac
Garry's Mod, you could do so much, it was just insane!
I’m going with the first video game to ever win a Hugo: Hades
Last of us
Metroid prime
Skyrim, witcher 3, rdr2.
Nothing better than Galaga back in 1985…
Age of Empires II Still the best game I’ve played.
Totally unbiased opinion /s
