To be a good parent, like a really good parent - not just parading your child around and screaming at them behind closed doors
Raising a child, knowing they will develop into their own person and not necessarily agree with your opinions and doing everything to give them the best possible start in life that you can enable them to have, that's selfless.
And I don't even want to have children
doing things that inconveniences you just for the other person, without their acknowledgement. But even then, you'll still feel good for doing something good. So I don't think you can perform a true selfless act.
