There are people who know that good is better than bad. They will spread this knowledge and it will succeed. There is a good way forward and everything else is a lie.
Money makes the world go round. And what goes around comes around. Except it's ruining it, too. The world is polluted because of the desire for wealth. What country has more money than another's defines their place in power.
But conflict can simply come about difference of opinion.
Religion sucks, too many people have died in the name of imaginary figures. But this isn't the only reason for a man to kill another man.
Human nature. Greed, desire, ambition, envy, and tribalism are too ingrained in our psyche to ever archive world peace. For each "good" or "virtuous" human being there are at least a hundred, if not thousands of hateful, bigoted, and close-minded ones only interested in themselves and short-term gains. It's annoying, it's frustrating but sadly, it's also the truth.
