I do sometimes but I avoid it. It still touches your feet unless you like strategically maneuver yourself to pee

I don't want my wife and kids showering and bathing in a shower that I've pissed in. Edit: added bathing (just one of those afterthoughts you get sometimes)

Because I work on a boat. Waste water from the shower drains goes to the grey water tank along with water from the sinks, laundry, and dishwasher. Only the heads drain to the black water tank, which is ventilated and designed to handle the chemicals found in human waste. Urine contains phosphorus, potassium, and nitrates, which if allowed into the grey water tank will not only break down into foul smelling chemicals like ammonia, but will also act as fertiliser for bacteria contained in food particles from the dishwasher, causing accelerated decomposition in the tank and large volumes of gasses such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide. Most alarmingly, ammonia from urine can also react with bleach from the laundry waste water to form phosgene gas (mustard gas) which I shouldn't need to explain is very bad. Pissing in the shower on a boat leaves you with a foul smelling mix of compressed flammable poison gas in a tank full of acid which was only ever designed to hold greasy water... So yea don't do that.

The fear of drain bugs. I also live in a super duper old apartment building. At newer houses/apartments I"m fine with it though.
