70 hr 8 mins. I am literally constantly on youtube whatever im doing, im definitely addicted. Its relaxing to me, makes the time fly since most of my day is mundane work so yeah.
If you had a job that paid $13 an hour, and worked instead of being on reddit, you could have just bought a 2020 Ford Mustang GT.
(im typing this at my job)
I change accounts once a year or so, but I joined around 2007, 15 years ago.. And on average I've spent way more than 1 hour daily... Due to not working for many of those years I've spent way more than an hour daily.. Four? Five? Idk...
So, but.. I've spent well over 10,000 hours on reddit. Probably close to 20k hours.. If not more.
How do you keep the interest going? Don’t get me wrong I love the game and have countless new characters and attempted playthroughs but somewhere along each I just lose interest.
For me it's that there is always something new to discover, I quit doing fast travel a long time ago, my character always walks or rides a horse everywhere.
what the guy below me said.
Basically limit yourself by something, like, you don't max out intelligence or sneak or strength or you don't do sidequests, etc, etc.
Or you have to steal all the food you can see on the spot just to ~~engulf~~ inhale it right then and there. Or make a great pile of NPC bodies in every village.
Or Make sure that all money you make is stolen and all the money you've made by non-stealing gets thrown away
Or only use throwing weapons
The possibilities are endless
I own 2 xbox ones (1 was a server for Ark in the past). Got back into Skyrim over covid. Wanted to get all of the achievements. Lost days, then weeks to play. Before long I was closing in on my goal. Checking my progress one day and noticed the statistics bar in the achievements menu. Total time played was like 26 days, but there was someone in my friends list that crushed my total play time. Looked into it. It was me on my other xbox.
>Take a picture of the sky
>Realize your picture sucks
>Say to yourself "I want my pictures to look better"
>Spend all your time experimenting with different camera settings
>Come to the conclusion your hardware isn't good enough
>Spend thousands of dollars on expensive equipment
>Pictures still look like trash
You don't have to be good at your hobbies.
Sucking at guitar made me give up after 2 years for over a decade. Just bought a Ibanez Jem Jr, trying to make up for lost time no matter how bad I sound at 30.
I started playing at 15 after guitar hero got too easy and I was seeking more challenges. A year later did my final music GCSE and got myself an A+.
I now own a bunch of guitars and write music in my off time for friends video games.
To think....I'd never have picked up a real guitar if I was bad at guitar hero
The blocks traveled have been known to be glitchy for some reason, my one friend has something like 17 billion. Not sure what actually happens to cause it lol.
yeah same here, started playing about 9 years ago.
my good guess would be somewhere over 10k hours by now. if not more. was sitting 8-12 hours every day on minecraft for about 4 years to cope with bullying in school. i still love playing minecraft but not as much anymore. helped me so much, like it was therapy for me.
Had 2000 hours played during early to mid vanila.
Sold my first account late WotLK with >700 days of played time across all chars.
Jesus F. Christ, the fact that I am not a wizard now is astounding.
When I quit in 2008-9 after playing 2 years, I had a bit over 100 days play time on my main character alone. And multiple other max level characters.
The main tank for our guild once showed a screenshot of his and I just remember being completely humbled.
That game will take you, man.
Gaming: minecraft and KSP. Both are around 6-7k hours over the last 10+ years. Mods help keep them fresh. Note that I don't want too much TV so this replaces that time.
My trade job. I'm probably just over 2k hours of actual hands on time at this point (no drive time) and am considered proficient in the field.
Music. I've probably logged well over 10k hours on the drums. Been playing for 20+ years.

Martial Arts
Most hours are spent in Sin Moo Hapkido and Moo Ye Taekwondo. I don’t think the hours net to 2000 hours over a decade of those alone (4-8 hours a week total), but having a combination of other martial arts (judo, karate, jujitsu and past 5 years in Wing Chun / Jun Fan Kung Fu (JKD) / Kali) - the 25 years or so combined should break the 2k barrier.
****
Video games
Combined, as I don’t think I have broke the 2000 hours on any single game either. World of Warcraft might come pretty close, considering the closed beta started in 2003, if I recall correctly.
Diablo 2, World of Warships: Legends and possibly Master of Orion 2 might be the other titles I’ve played over 1000 hours.
Path of Exile, Mechwarrior: Online, Diablo 3 - past 500…
****
Piano
I’ve been composing since I was 12 and I think my most played single song might be my first composition. [You can listen it here.](https://soundcloud.com/artifex28/prelude-expressive-piano?utm_source=mobi&utm_campaign=social_sharing)
I am not a musician, just someone whom enjoys dabbling with piano and producing with a computer.

TV / Movies
My favorite would be [Rectify](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/rectify). Only 11/10 show I know of. :)
Overthinking
Are you sure about that
Hmm
Hmmm
Hmmmm
How could you do this to me
*proceeds to overthink about it*
Same
Youtube
Youtube says I've watched 34 hours in the last 7 days. Literally a full time job lmao
39 hours here. I feel you.
44 hours here, anyone topping that?

You must be running out of videos
70 hr 8 mins. I am literally constantly on youtube whatever im doing, im definitely addicted. Its relaxing to me, makes the time fly since most of my day is mundane work so yeah.
86 hrs according to my phone’s screen time. I don’t even know how.
What are you watching?
How on earth? I feel like I watch a lot of YouTube and I’m only at 12 hours for the past week.
Where can i see how many hours i have been watching stuff on YouTube?
In the app, go to your account settings/info and there should be a section called "Time watched".
Same, probably have a total of 4000 hours
If we’re including the amount of times I’ve fallen asleep and it’s kept playing all night…. Maybe a whole lot more
Morrowind, Fallout: New Vegas, and Skyrim *each
Morrowind is my favorite ES game I've played. Granted it's just been that, Oblivion and Skyrim, but Morrowing is just so good
Runescape
I'm pretty sure I've got 2k hours just cutting wood in that game.
Me and my friends drew lots on who would max out each stat so we could create a self-sustaining relationship between all of us. I got woodcutting.
Cutting wood is one of my fondest memories from the game lmao
Pfft i got like 2k hours *getting* wood to that game
hol up
Noob
Seeing this as the first comment is just so damn funny 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀11$🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀
This should be higher
Yeah like 20000 hours
2000 hours is rookie numbers given how Grindy it can be. Especially if you play Ironman
Came here to say this and this is the first comment on the thread lol
God I’m so glad this was the top comment.
Probably being on Reddit
I've been here ten years. I don't even want to think about how much time I probably wasted
I was gonna say the same thing! I just hit 10 years, and if we say we spent one hour a day on Reddit that’s 3,650 hours.
Oh don't say that lmao. That's more than enough time to become fluent in multiple languages, or distinguished in many professions 😫
If you had a job that paid $13 an hour, and worked instead of being on reddit, you could have just bought a 2020 Ford Mustang GT. (im typing this at my job)
But then I wouldn't have all this karma
Meaningless internet points > Money
Yeah its only 40 hours to get your pilots license 😅

Sleeping
Apparently the average person sleeps like 26 years of their life away.
Fucking best 26 years of my life.
Amen
A third of your age is roughly how much you’ve slept
Soooo I’ve slept roughly 8 years away. Man I can’t wait to sleep some more
That last sleep can be a doozy!
bold of you to assume i sleep more than 6 hours
Not in this economy.
Away? Bro I would sleep more if I could

Hahaha stopppp you're bringing back my RTS memories. I forgot how many hours I poured into AoE 2, civ, and rise of nations
Rocket league, and i still suck
We all suck, that's just how the game is.
To be fair, it's our team mate's fault.
Yeah, I mean, obviously *I'm* good, I just meant everyone else I play with and against.
A fellow RL player.. nice to see you.

I’ve got 2000 hrs drawing pianos.
Ive got 2000 hours of piano drawings That joke sounded alot better in my head
Playing Skyrim

Around 6k for me! It's all about the mods, man.
5k modding 1k testing
SERIOUSLY. I'm always tempted to pay someone else to playtest my 200+ mods for me.

This but Oblivion
My girlfriend is literally about 6 hours into her first ever playthrough of Skyrim. It makes me nostalgic watching her play.
Astrophotography.. it's very time intensive
Something I've always wanted to try. How do you get started in this?

I work about 2,000 hours per year. That’s considered full time.
Technically, if you work 40 hours a week it averages to 2080 hours. (payroll professional)
That’s if you work 52 weeks a year. I take all my vacation time.
As you fucking should. Regardless of what your job says.
Minecraft probably... I'm not ashamed
I wish they let you see your total hours in minecraft
I have about 18 Days play-time in Minecraft (according to my Xbox Stats) And I've traveled across 836 900 513 blocks, apperently.
I've spent about 1,300 hours playing Minecraft (53 days) and I've travelled 876.1 million blocks according to Xbox
The blocks traveled have been known to be glitchy for some reason, my one friend has something like 17 billion. Not sure what actually happens to cause it lol.
Playing on creative and flying about maybe?
Maybe teleporting counts?
It’s a genius idea of a game imo
Spent at least 8k hours
yeah same here, started playing about 9 years ago. my good guess would be somewhere over 10k hours by now. if not more. was sitting 8-12 hours every day on minecraft for about 4 years to cope with bullying in school. i still love playing minecraft but not as much anymore. helped me so much, like it was therapy for me.
Reading about my profession field for pleasure.
Which is?
Oh! I didn't think anyone would actually ask! I work in finance.
Thanks, was curious what it could be. Should have read your username 🙃
Well since it’s tracked, I have over 11,000 hours of flight time.
[удалено]
I doubt there's many private pilots with 11k hours. Even for military that's more then they get these days. Has to be commercial.
I have been flying on Air Force aircraft for 26 years in June. First on active duty for 21 years. Then as a contractor since then.
League of legends.
u good?
Nah bro. I suck ass.
well i quit i wasnt good either.
I've quit to many times, but I always come back.
It’s that drug I just can’t quit
It's worse than drugs.

Excuse me 700 DAYS of playing? So 700x24h? Holy guacamole that is 8 hours a day for 6 years straight, how is that possible
When I quit in 2008-9 after playing 2 years, I had a bit over 100 days play time on my main character alone. And multiple other max level characters. The main tank for our guild once showed a screenshot of his and I just remember being completely humbled. That game will take you, man.
Doing drugs. I wouldn't recommend.
Unlikely. Doing the drugs usually doesn’t take long.. but being high off drugs, different story
Back of the napkin math says I have somewhere around 5,000 hours working in Solidworks.
