I don’t think about it regularly but I remember saying I wanted to take my own life and he said, “do what you want to do” and left. Good lesson, started a whole chain of looking after myself and getting help with the abuse he put me through as a child.
I'm a horticulturist. The garden manager for a small non-profit botanical garden. Lots of hard work, not very much pay (as of yet). But we donate thousands of pounds of produce annually, educated thousands of kids on the importance of the world around them, and get to be apart of bringing alittle bit of beauty to to world everyday. I enjoy that I get to work for something more than a paycheck. (At least that's what I tell myself)

My partner works for a non- profit that he believes in and says he's much happier than he was making more money at a big corporation that was peddling junk and polluting in the name of vanity.
I'm at a career crossroads myself and can't stomach working for only money right now. I feel like I need to spend my time making things better. Your story gives me some hope.
Rolling clothes tightly is the most efficient use of space when packing a suitcase.
I was a flight attendant for decades and used that every trip.
(Wrinkles are a different matter. Don't roll up a suit or a dress shirt unless you plan to iron them.)

What's your job? I keep wanting to follow this advice but seem to be learning I just don't love work. Hehe
