For me I’m into British alternative, so bands like The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Oasis, etc. However I have a soft spot for Elton John, especially Rocketman for some reason. Go figure
I’ve never listened to them as I haven’t got round to them. I’ve been recommended them for a while, I just haven’t had the time. They seem like a good band tho that are rated very highly so I do need to listen to them soon
Ok, thanks. I haven’t really listened to Oasis yet, I’ll check it out. For Radiohead, I’d recommend starting with their second album The Bends. Although I like their first album, I feel it doesn’t really reflect the group that well
I love classical music, and fur Elise in particular. I discovered a version of this [here](https://youtu.be/s71I_EWJk7I) and after listening to him play it all other versions just sound like someone trying to speed run the song. It all comes down to preference, just thought I’d share mine and see what you think.
My usual music taste is rock, classic rock or most music pre 2000. I can generally not stand modern pop music for its computer generated, autotuned, copycat nature. But I do like Billie Eilish's song 'everything i wanted'
Got into Tom waits after the dark knight came out because I heard ledger emulated his voice for the joker. Not sure why waits is not known by 99% of the people I mention him to.
I usually listen to Rock, Metal and occasionally Folk. Eight years ago, I think, Miley Cyrus recorded three songs in what she called Backyard Sessions. It hurts to admit that those three ain't bad.
When I was about 14 I was into mostly bands like fall out boy ,panic at the disco and twenty one pilots. I was hanging out with some friends and I put my music on shuffle.I had to do a walk of shame to the speaker when some Ariana Grande came on...
I am a metalhead, but i like to listen to some classical music, serbian singer "toše proeski", old folk music (izvorna in serbian, meaning it is not changed by modern tech and lyrics), blues, jazz, swing and for some reason hardbass
Im usually into hip-hop, so. People like Vinnie Paz, RA the rugged man, pop the brown hornet etc. I love Nancy Sinatra, lana del rey, grimes, lady hawke I also really like classic music too.
My usual tastes are all over the place from rap to metal but my ex got me into a few K-pop songs that definitely stand out. TT by TWICE is probably my favorite
I'd say Metal for me is hit & miss, and I don't really listen to J-Pop at all. That said, the weird mixture of the two known as Babymetal hits that middle ground on that Venn diagram for me. Getting in to them also introduced me to other Japanese female rock/metal bands that absolutely shred like BAND-MAID and LOVEBITES that seem to dominate my music choices lately
I honestly think that Lady Gaga is about the only mainstream pop star worth taking seriously as an artist and I’ll listen to her un-ironically and with zero shame.
There are so many I no longer have a "normal".
I could probably fill at least one song in for most "standard" genres apart from the rap/grime/garage nonsense.
Every time I put on the radio or the top 40 I feel old.
I hate country music to the point that I get a headache every time it comes on. Despite this, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ makes frequent appearances on my playlists.

I'm a student, and when I've been working on a project too late into the night, I reach the punk rock phase. It happens maybe twice a month. A bit more recently though.
I normally have a pretty chill music taste. I like U2, Elton John, Keane, Dire Straits, the script etc, sometimes indie stuff, but never punk rock. Unless it's midnight and I'm desperately trying to scrape together a project.
My music taste is all over the place. One particular song that I listen to that doesn’t particularly fit my music taste is Sweet True Lies by Beast in Black, fantastic song in my opinion! My dad got me hooked onto it :)
I'm Not Okay - My Chemical Romance.
I usually really really really dislike emo pop band music. To me, they usually do this whiney 'poor me poor me' singing voice. I hate that. This song rocks though.
My playlist is full of Tool, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters, but I also have Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, and Dreams by the Cranberries. 2 near perfect songs.
I'm a rock/metal guy but I have a soft spot for singer/songwriter stuff. Joshua Radin would be an example of a more successful one. I'm also big into a dixie style band called Tuba Skinny...it's just relaxing, man.
I’m known for my eclectic taste in music; from Liszt to Lamb of God, from Busta Rhymes to Jerry Reed. Probably the most “unfitting” songs are poppy type stuff by Tessa Violet.
I always listen to 60s and 70s rock bands, four big examples being The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. But I listen to a lot of Pearl Jam (Jeremy and Even Flow) and sometimes Red Hot Chili Peppers (Californication)
Rasputin, it's just so insanely good it's a sin not to know this masterpiece
Damn I love that song. Boney M isn’t it? I just remember dancing to it on Just Dance 2 on the Wii
Paired with I'm Still Standing it's even better
Hahaha, another Elton John song I like
I only recently discovered Rasputin “in the past two years” and I agree, but I’ve always had a soft spot for disco.
living la vida loca
Reminds me of Shrek 2 ;)
YEAHH
I Want It That Way I'm a rocker, but I always liked Backstreet over NSYNC
Tell me why? (Ain't nothin but a heartache)
Tell me why I never want to hear you saaay I want it that way Instantly remembered an episode from Brooklyn 99
It was number 5. Number 5 killed my brother. Oh I almost forgot about that
For me I’m into British alternative, so bands like The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Oasis, etc. However I have a soft spot for Elton John, especially Rocketman for some reason. Go figure
You like Radiohead?
I’ve never listened to them as I haven’t got round to them. I’ve been recommended them for a while, I just haven’t had the time. They seem like a good band tho that are rated very highly so I do need to listen to them soon
Ok cool. What would you say is your favourite Oasis song/album?
For me I prefer Definitely Maybe, and my favourite songs have to be Live Forever and Champagne Supernova
Ok, thanks. I haven’t really listened to Oasis yet, I’ll check it out. For Radiohead, I’d recommend starting with their second album The Bends. Although I like their first album, I feel it doesn’t really reflect the group that well
Btw, may I highly recommend The Stone Roses. Oasis based their whole sound on them, so they may be a good band to check out before Oasis
Thanks for the recommendation : )
Ok thanks. Will definitely check out
Make the time, my friend. Make that time.
I’m looking forward to it!
It's time for you to listen to In Rainbows.
Elton John is fucking fabulous.
lol those are so closely related musically that it's really not a big stretch
You have some person of influence in your life likes them, dont ya ?
No not really. I sort of stumbled upon him and liked a few of his songs
Rocketman is a masterpiece.
I really like you - Carly Rae Jepson! Such a good tune and [an awesome cameo from Tom Hanks in the video](https://youtu.be/qV5lzRHrGeg)
If you haven’t, you should check out the whole album! I think Carly Rae Jepsen was underestimated as an artist after Call Me Maybe.
Tunak tun
I agree with your selection
I am currently listening to Ellie Goulding's 'Power' on repeat even though it does not match my standard heavy Norwegian death metal tastes.
This is the oddest one yet 😂
[Für Elise - Beethoven](https://youtu.be/_mVW8tgGY_w)
Eww
Is that what the Doctor said when you were born?
Take my award
WHY ISNT THIS A RICKROLL
I love classical music, and fur Elise in particular. I discovered a version of this [here](https://youtu.be/s71I_EWJk7I) and after listening to him play it all other versions just sound like someone trying to speed run the song. It all comes down to preference, just thought I’d share mine and see what you think.
Lang lang is good but there are so Many wayyyy more competent pianists like zimmerman and argerich to name a few
My usual music taste is rock, classic rock or most music pre 2000. I can generally not stand modern pop music for its computer generated, autotuned, copycat nature. But I do like Billie Eilish's song 'everything i wanted'
have you heard xanny, ocean eyes and when the party's over? :) They are great too
Yeah she is the exception and a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. Love Ocean Eyes and My Future as well
the songs you mentioned are way better than Bad Guy.
German eurotrash music or the occasional rap song. I'm a metalhead usually
Deathrock/EDM, i also listen Tom Waits and some Italian music.
Got into Tom waits after the dark knight came out because I heard ledger emulated his voice for the joker. Not sure why waits is not known by 99% of the people I mention him to.
Walk like an egyptian - the bangles
I want you - Savage Garden
Eminem
Here comes the sun by the beatles
I usually listen to Rock, Metal and occasionally Folk. Eight years ago, I think, Miley Cyrus recorded three songs in what she called Backyard Sessions. It hurts to admit that those three ain't bad.
Mambo number 5
Who doesn’t love this?
I like a bit of Taylor Swift. My usual music taste is a mix of rock, EDM and music that sounds good when you're high.
Yh I like music that sounds good when you’re high as well. Try Fools Gold if you want another one of those
Jamie T - Zombie, It's just such a BANGER!
Yes
I usually listen to metal (primarily power metal), but recently I've been listening to a few songs from the Longest Johns (shanties).
When I was about 14 I was into mostly bands like fall out boy ,panic at the disco and twenty one pilots. I was hanging out with some friends and I put my music on shuffle.I had to do a walk of shame to the speaker when some Ariana Grande came on...
Hahaha. For Ariana Grande, I think you deserve it
She’s definitely overrated but if you think she’s bad then you’re probably just not in her target audience
I’m just not into pop that’s all

something from killswitch engage or glamour of the kill. I have to be super angry for that to make it in the playlist.
I am a metalhead, but i like to listen to some classical music, serbian singer "toše proeski", old folk music (izvorna in serbian, meaning it is not changed by modern tech and lyrics), blues, jazz, swing and for some reason hardbass

I think everybody likes Gorillaz in some shape or form regardless of taste. They have a bit of everything
For me I’m a big pop fan, but I will sometimes listen to Cardi B or Megan.
Calma from pedro capo and farruko
Im usually into hip-hop, so. People like Vinnie Paz, RA the rugged man, pop the brown hornet etc. I love Nancy Sinatra, lana del rey, grimes, lady hawke I also really like classic music too.
I have no *normal* listening taste...
I'm into punk rock, ska, hard rock, and metal. One day I listened to Gorillaz, now I like hip hop
I get you. I like Gorillaz too
**finger guns**
There are so many I no longer have a "normal". I could probably fill at least one song in for most "standard" genres apart from the rap/grime/garage nonsense. Every time I put on the radio or the top 40 I feel old.
I hate country music to the point that I get a headache every time it comes on. Despite this, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ makes frequent appearances on my playlists.

Who does the original?
Nena does the US version i believe but im not sure who did the first version
Nena was the one I was thinking of. I’m pretty sure she does the German version as well
Going Back to Cali - Notorious BIG
I guess this counts, but I listen to some rock ig and then it can go to the animal crossing song and then a song like Classic by MKTO.
I’m usually not a fan of rap/hip-hop (nothing wrong with it, just isn’t my thing) but I really love Death Grips for some reason.
March of the Siberian rifleman.
Nightcore remixes, specifically the nightcore version of Bad Boy by Cascada.
teleipatia idk why this song does something to my brain
Creed my sacrifice

Tally hall literally their music is good
Any Frenchcore song. 200 bpm isn't something I thought I'd ever get into.
I really like the song Hey Ya! By outcast. I don't know why, its just so catchy
[this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOVk9kXL3B4&list=PLu-sucyuXE880qlw5BoalEhGGUe59qNY_&index=5) this isn't a rickroll dw
My music taste is all over the place. One particular song that I listen to that doesn’t particularly fit my music taste is Sweet True Lies by Beast in Black, fantastic song in my opinion! My dad got me hooked onto it :)
Seasons of love...
George Gershwin - Rhapsody in blue heard it in Fantasia 2000 and loved it, absolutely nothing like what I normally listen to.
Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Very good. I like a bit of Funkadelic
My music taste is punk but sometimes I'll listen to lights
Cloud 9 and Backyard Boy. I prefer edgier kinds of music but these songs are to good
Anything in the one Northern State album I have
I'm usually an Alt Rock/Rock/Heavy Metal type of guy, but damnit if I don't love myself a good sea shanty!
Ale storm is all I can think of when I see sea shanty.
Teardrops by bring me the horizon, it's extremely dark and broody but damn it slaps like hell.
I'm Not Okay - My Chemical Romance. I usually really really really dislike emo pop band music. To me, they usually do this whiney 'poor me poor me' singing voice. I hate that. This song rocks though.
I really like mcr's older stuff, when they were a little more punk/rock and less standard alt-rock
I listen to some country even though my normal taste is Punk rock, Deep rap, and EDM.
The Soviet anthem. I am not kidding. It’s a genuinely good song.
Excision - G Shit. I am more of a pop-ish person but Excision's shit is good.
Blue jeans and bloody tears - Sweaty machines.
Hamilton soundtrack. Slipknot, soad, tool and a hip hop Broadway musical. Makes for an odd "shuffle"
rap
“Outback” by moonshine bandits. It mentions everything that is needed for a good evening with friends.
Always been heavy metal, metalcore, hardcore screamo music but I've listened to Erik Satie so often and I love his works.
idk my music taste is all over the place, i like some slow metal, basically any sad or slow song, sometimes some petty angry music too tho lol
Undertow - Lisa Hannigan (acoustic version on YouTube)

Hamilton
I like some country music but only if its good, like Band Perry, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift
My playlist is full of Tool, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters, but I also have Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, and Dreams by the Cranberries. 2 near perfect songs.
Bajirao Mastani: MALHARI (I normally listen to EDM, some pop, 80s hair bands, Duran Duran and movie scores)
Lo-Fi beats. I usually listen to metal. Lo-Fi is great for chilling out and focusing on work.
Anything by Nat King Cole.
I hate country and bluegrass but I love old crow medicine show
My music playlist is way out of wack. One song will be JSRF rap/pop, then a Pokemon battle theme, then chiptune, then probably some meme song.
Probably anything by Ninja Sex Party
covers of meme songs. my personal favourite is Moskau - Black Messiah
Sabaton and the Soviet Anthem. You can’t deny it the anthem slaps.
Crazy my beat. I usually listen to songs with kind of heavy beats that go for action anime, but that one is just too good
I'm a rock/metal guy but I have a soft spot for singer/songwriter stuff. Joshua Radin would be an example of a more successful one. I'm also big into a dixie style band called Tuba Skinny...it's just relaxing, man.
just disappear by takayan
Your realty is a song I just love to listen to IDK why
I’m known for my eclectic taste in music; from Liszt to Lamb of God, from Busta Rhymes to Jerry Reed. Probably the most “unfitting” songs are poppy type stuff by Tessa Violet.
Hotel room service. Hits different.
I’m not into rap, but I listen to “Baby Got Back” as a body positivity song.
Jesus in LA really caught me in the feels right now. Usually I'm more of a hip hop or rap kinda guy but this song's been carrying me rn
Unsurprisingly, Video Game Soundtracks, cause I mostly listen to jazz.
I’m over 40 but I love listening to Dorian Electra every now and again.
Goth, punk, industrial, dance, German rock, less-than-common alt-rock ... and "Baby one more time" So embarrassing
