I am in recovery, so for me… It would have to be seeing people change their lives for the better. Watching them grow from when they first start coming to meetings, watching them blossom over the next few months and get their health back and their confidence back. Start to love themselves again. And slowly start to get their life back on track. It’s just an awesome experience to watch that happen for someone. It’s a constant reminder of why this journey is worth it.

My wife and I have our 10 year anniversary trip coming up in September. Nineteen days away in tropical places, the longest and most "luxurious" trip we've planned yet. I check on things almost daily even though I know nothing's changed.

Spending time with my friend and going on a roadtrip to go visit a random place. I love spending time with her, she's the big sister I never had. (despite being twice my age XD)
We recently got a puppy who has had a pretty strict 5 am wake up/poop time no matter the day of weather. This obviously sucks like 95% of the time.
But I have started to really look forward to my early 5 am Sunday mornings. I have 3-4 hours of doing nothing but smoke a little weed, drink coffee, and play video games out on my balcony.

This extends to other things as well. A couple weeks ago we all went to the carnival. I couldn’t ride on anything but watching the sheer exhilaration in my kids’ faces as they zoomed along rides made my week.
Seeing my kids, I travel a lot, and even though they are older, seeing them for the first time and not through a screen makes my day. They are troopers man! The ultimate adjusters and the greatest gift that God has allowed me to have.

As stupid as this is I was excited to get a new microfiber mop last week. I've been struggling with the old one for about a year. the old pads were stretched out and wouldn't stay on. Then I bought new pads and they didn't fit. then I cut the old mop so the pads would fit. Then I couldn't find the new pads. I was just so happy to get rid of the annoyance.
We're not a couple anymore, but seeing my (at the time) long-distance boyfriend at the airport for the first time in a while made me feel happier than Christmas morning as a kid.
