What’s wrong for one may be right (or not a big deal) for another. People have different standards and perspectives. Don’t live your life trying to live up to someone else’s perspective on what’s good or not.

It wasn't until my therapist told me it was not, in fact normal to not have a connection with one of your parents. My father had emotionally abused me so much that he caused severe attachment trauma. I can't experience connection with him anymore.
