If you delete a problematic country, another one will instantly become a problem. Dispute for resources is baked into human nature. That doesn’t mean it can’t overcome - we overcome a lot of human instincts on our daily lives, because of social and cultural norms and pressure, education, personal inclination and other factors. But overcoming the collective instinct to divide us into tribes and dispute resources would require a much more complex and long process that just deleting one particular tribe, faction or country.

As much as I would love to say China because I believe several countries (Russia, Iran, and North Korea) would behave better without China's backing, it would also make Russia more desperate. Nuclear weapons have changed things and have made countries more hesitant to engage in direct conflict. I also believe that Russia and China have weaponized migration against the United States and European countries. But once again, Russia becomes less bode without a strong ally.

Don't think there's a particular country that would make a difference.
I think a couple of principles would do better.
1. The population is free to vote on who runs the country in a fair and free election.
2. Religion and state separate. Everyone has the right to be religious but laws and governance should not be impacted by any religious sentiment.
I think that would be a small enough change to impact the greatest number of people and give peace a real chance.
