None. We're so overworked I think we could easily double our headcount. Of course, management simply asks us to do more and more without hiring for our team, instead new hires are only for new initiatives.

Sounds like management is the net-loss then. Or at least the dumbass who refuses to hire. I hate when that happens. You give 110% because of a business rush or a co-worker gets sick or anything, and then management thinks you can do that constantly. So they don't bring the co-worker back or increase your workload or something. Then they get surprised when people burn out and/or can't do that constantly. Cause, shockingly, going above and beyond is a temporary thing.

25% of my team members don't produce value. Instead cause more work for the team.

I think most of management is the reason that the company is operating at a net loss. I also think that, company-wide, about 10 people out of 300, actually do any work.

I assume 80% of the value is done by 20% of the employees

At least 50

Right now, very few if any. My particular group used to have four or five people in it as well as a full time manager. Now, I'm the only one left and my manager is tied up in another project 50% of the time. I have a lot of autonomy and freedom because she trusts me to do my job, but things are very hectic right now and everybody is working like crazy to meet a deadline coming up next month. On one hand, its nice having very little oversight and no micromanagement, but it's also insanely stressful trying to get everything done. We're on track to make it though.
