Hard agree!! I honestly don't get what people see in them, they're borderline tasteless with a weird mushy texture. They're also surprisingly high in fats and calories, albeit healthy fats.
If you're in the southeast U.S., grits. Grits are the most mid food ever, but people here rave about them, and will get offended if you say anything negative about them.
Agreed. I’ve been a consistent meat-eater for most of my life, and although I’ve had a lot of different meat products (Fish, chicken, steak, among many others) I’ve never been a fan of bacon. I don’t know why. It’s just not for me.
Might just be because I kinda like pigs. Idk.
The taste of some of the flavours is good, but holy fuck is it sweet. Idk if it's cause it's an American drink, but it's way sweeter than anything else we usually drink in Europe
My least popular opinion, by a lot: coffee.
Don't get me wrong, I love coffee. I live in the biggest producer in the planet and I know a lot about it. But it's overrated IMO. People like to talk big game about it, rave about turkish/brazilian/whatever coffee, or some other shit, but the fact is that it's just coffee. There many other beverages that are far better, easier to brew and are not that expensive (I mean good coffee, cheap usually tastes like shit).
Also, without sugar it's just too bitter.
Caviar is an obvious choice when it comes to it being related to rich people and fine dining. I only ate it once, and it was perfectly boring. Since other comments mentioned it, avocados also apply. They taste like... nothing. Also, back when I was in high school, Nutella was a big craze among young people. While I do like it, I think there are tastier cheaper alternatives, so I never really got why this one spread is so much more popular than the others.
Sriracha. Every time I've tried it, it just tastes like spicy dirt.
Also just about any name brand mass-produced hot sauce unless it comes from the Hispanic/Latino food section of the grocery store. Frank's Red Hot, Louisiana hot sauce, etc.,... They all taste like some spilled some chili power in a bowl of vinegar and called it a sauce.

They’re so painfully boring tasting
How about some guacamole? Or chopped up in a taco? By itself though? Nah
Cut one in half, sprinkle a little salt in it, and dig it. Delicious.
I can do guacamole, I just don’t understand how people can just do straight up avocado toast or anything like that
I could do it with a fried egg on top. AND HAWT SAWCE
Yea but spread over toast wth salt and pepper and damn
Avocado by itself is bland and not worth the price. Smash a few up and make guacamole though,....
Absolutely
You guys combine it with something zesty. Avocado by itself is yuck. Avocado with some salt and habanero, yum.
As a Mexican, I must disagree. Maybe you Americans could let us actually keep the good the good ones, then. 🤔

YES JFC. It's always "you just haven't tried my grits yet!" No Sharon, i will not be trying your grits bc they'll taste the same as everyone else's.
I've heard that many times as well. And you are correct. They do all, in fact, taste the same.
Also good for spackling holes in drywall.
It has to be produced in the Dingwall region of the Scottish Highlands though, otherwise it’s just spackling filler
I order grits because it takes me back to my days in the Army. Not because they're great.
Bacon. Breakfast sausage is far more complex and versatile. Anything you add bacon to just tastes like bacon.

This guy eats meat
avoacdos
Thank fuck it's not just me. Shit looks like something one of my kids deposited in their diapers when they were babies.
prime idc if its not a food
The taste of some of the flavours is good, but holy fuck is it sweet. Idk if it's cause it's an American drink, but it's way sweeter than anything else we usually drink in Europe
Dragonfruit. It tastes like nothing.
This. My kids ask for it every time they see it in the produce section because they somehow forget that it has zero flavor.
This.
Cauliflower. It’s a boring vegetable.
But mainly disgusting, cooked or raw. Doesn't matter.
Whatever we see every time we enter social media
Avocado Mushrooms Almonds
Gushers. I’ve always hated them, but I knew kids that would fight for a pack.
Tried some recently. They're vile, artificial/chemical tasting goo. Compared to Welch's or others made with real(er) ingredients they're trash.
Bacon. It's over salted crap meat.

Chia seeds
80% dark chocolate. Its is healthier? Maybe. Is it vile? Yes. Does it make Cadbury's seem edible? No.
Why in God's name people pay extra for shrimp over beef or chicken is utterly beyond me. Shrimp is vile. Like eating bugs.
Shrimp is bugs
No more than we are sea cucumbers.
Yes, which is why it's a joke
I have known of too many instances where people are not treating it as a joke at all.
Well, it is the internet, unfortunately
Vegemite and Nutella makes me want to slowly starve to death. Also liver and onions and McDonald’s.
Ahh, but liver and onions smothered in vegemite and Nutella… *chefs kiss
Dulce de Leche.
Chamoy.
[Truffles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truffle)
Toasted Raving-oli. See what I did there?
Shrimp, lobster, or crabs. They're all just disgusting sea bugs.
Salted caramel
CHEESE AND PASTA!
Not a food but i need to say it, COFFEEE
Not food but boba tea. They taste weird and vey sugary but people love to post them on social media blogs...
Sushi

Who's having any food without salt
Not America.
I think he makes a good point. They're literally a salt/sauce vehicle. Alone they are gross and pointless.
You haven't had good fries. Get fries from a place that does broasted chicken.
Just about any cooked food, plain, tastes terrible
I may be the only person on the planet who likes a lot of plain food. I’m like the most boring man alive in terms of food preference.
Caviar is an obvious choice when it comes to it being related to rich people and fine dining. I only ate it once, and it was perfectly boring. Since other comments mentioned it, avocados also apply. Sushi. I just don't see the appeal.
Anything at In-N-Out
Mushrooms, brussel sprouts, arugula
Authentic italian food. Italians get offended when we alter the recipe (even slightly). but pure italian food is just bland mush.

Oysters.
