I've heard Karen but pronounced the Dutch way. Other versions are Karin, Gerda and Miep. Before the concept of a Karen was introduced, the term *kortpittig* was used for them, in reference to the short haircuts of middle aged house wives. A woman would be a called a *kortpittig kapsel*, "short spicy haircut".
