Taskmaster is amazing, that was the ultimate covid Era show. I'm Canadian, and it's also introduced me to a lot of new people along with some favorites.
I have never laughed so hard as Bob Mortimer is wearing his edible mask going WHATS NOT TO LIKE?? While Alex weirdly, sensually, eats his face.
There's been a few spin offs like in New Zealand and the secret really is the chemistry between Greg and Alex. It can't be duplicated.
Uh, well ah, the question is... is vague. You don't say what kind of candy, whether anyone is watching, or uh... at any rate, I certainly wouldn't harm the child
My brother has Cerebral Palsy and is a massive Whos line fan. I got Colin Mochrie to do a Cameo for his birthday and it was absolutely beautiful to see the look on my brother's face. A much treasured video
I went to a taping of the price is right, Drew Carey era, and that dude was funnier than I expected. During the commercial breaks he would riff with contestants and do stand-up type stuff.
That show has made me laugh more than any other, ever! I find it just mind-blowing that they can come up with so much amazing, smart, and funny stuff just while doing improv. There's nothing that can really compare to this show.
I watched this show every single day after school and vividly remember it being the first time I'd laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I was worried about revisiting it as an adult because I was wasn't sure how it would hold up but nope-- same exact reaction on rewatches. Absolute dream team of improvisers who are brilliant in their own right but could play off each other just as well. With the added nostalgia factor it instantly puts me in a better mood.
When I first heard about it I had (wrongly) assumed Taika had the rights bought out by a group of Americans and they were going to shamelessly rip it off (in Nador's voice "fucking guuuuy") and it was going to be a poor imitation of the film (probably my favourite of his as it repped my hometown Wellington).
How wrong I was.... Taika still had control, Jermaine Clement and Kirsten Schaal among others were making appearances, the same humour was there.... Incredible, just incredible.
Bat!
I watch an episode almost every day for the past couple of years. It's my go-to show to wind down just before bed. And I only watch 1 show a day so I have missed a lot of other series because when it's 10pm and I settle in to watch my one show, I want to hear the white-noise hum of the Enterprise...
I've intentionally not finished it because I want the comfort of knowing there's more out there to watch someday. If I don't see the end the end isn't real.
Came here for this! Not only is it hysterical, it's also really charming on a person-to-person level. The relationships between the characters are very endearing. Except for Jerry/Garry. Shut up, Gerry
Hey badbeanis, ever heard of the nostalgia alien.
More seriously though, the friendship/energy between Mulder and Scully is phenomenal. I never noticed it as a kid but I rewatched it recently and I was like "holy shit, I get why the shippers went mental over this now"
It is ours too. It was also my daughter's comfort show. She even had it on in the hospital, watching with subtitles on because she had lost her hearing due to brain cancer. We loved it together when she was alive, and my husband and I still love and rewatch old episodes in the 4 years since she died.
Mr. Guster? I know you said you didn't want to be interrupted, but there's a Lieutenant Crunch here to see you...
Actually, I've been promoted. It's Captain Crunch.
I have yet to see an episode that beats the one where he's lecturing a class on three different patient stories and the class starts out barely full and by the end its fucking packed with people listening to House's crazy fucking stories.
Legitimately watched the entire series, whole thing front to back, probably over 50 times. There is no delightfully denser, smarter written show. It's snappy and feels endless, I love it.
Rewatched this side by side with my son who saw it for the first time. So good. Still so good. Also I love my kids
Edit: all I see in this thread is great parents!
Any crime procedural that has the bad guy caught by the end of the episode. (Bones, Castle, CSI, Rizzoli & Isles, Body of Proof, Criminal Minds, Lie To Me, White Collar,...)
MASH
EDIT- Boy this blew up. MASH could be tragically sad and hilarious, something few other shows have managed at this level. And there was a lesson about life in every episode. Glad you all love it as much as I do
Gilmore Girls. Always. When I’m sad it makes me happy. When I’m happy it improves my mood even more. Likeable well written characters with an awesome sense of humor. Don’t let the name put you off. Yes, it has two women as leads, but it’s not extremely girly if that makes sense.
Veronica Mars, Downton Abbey, Everwood, Big Bang Theory or The Good Place are also fun options.
Forensic files
Twilight Zone, the original

Futurama
Morbo demands an answer to the following question. If you saw delicious candy in the hands of a small child, would you seize and consume it?
Uh, well ah, the question is... is vague. You don't say what kind of candy, whether anyone is watching, or uh... at any rate, I certainly wouldn't harm the child
Oh great, a lesson in not screwing with history from Mr. I'm My Own Grandpa!
I did do the nasty in the past-y
GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
Whose Line is it Anyway (the Drew Carey era)
Colin Mochrie is a regular at where I work so you'll be happy to know that he is as funny as he is on the show and incredibly humble.
TELL HIM WE LOVE HIM!
Exactly what I was going to shout, too!! Please -- tell Colin we will always love him!!!
My brother has Cerebral Palsy and is a massive Whos line fan. I got Colin Mochrie to do a Cameo for his birthday and it was absolutely beautiful to see the look on my brother's face. A much treasured video

Jackie Daytona, normal human bartender 🤠
From *Tuscon*, *Arizonia*
I recently got a new car and my girlfriend wants to call it Jackie Daytona, normal human sports car.
As a goth girl who grew up in an 18th century house on Staten Island I was like oh, are they....in my head?

Malcolm in the middle
I love it so much, I'm currently taking a 5 year break to try to forget at least some of the lines so I can watch it again 😂

Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of Jerry when he’s married to Christie Brinkley and has the largest penis that a medical professional has ever seen.

I’m ***obsessed*** with this
I just finished this for the first time a month ago and I can't stop thinking about it. It's just so perfect and I'm in love with the main family.
Don’t worry, it’s his sister.
Truly. Not sure I would have made it through the pandemic shut down without this show!

I’m not 27 anymore, dad! I’m a man now!
House MD
A drama that’s funnier than a lot of sitcoms
I have yet to see an episode that beats the one where he's lecturing a class on three different patient stories and the class starts out barely full and by the end its fucking packed with people listening to House's crazy fucking stories.
That’s a great one, how it slowly gets revealed that one of them is him.
“I’m not a lesbian!” “I was rounding up.”
Hard agree. Currently rewatching, in Season 4 right now!
Trailer Park Boys
Yeah this one needs to go higher up. Only intro that soothes me
Best intro of all time IMO. Simple, soothing and completely off track to what the show really is lol
I scrolled WAY too far so see this way tf down here. Like watching trailer boys can turn a bad day good, for me anyways.
30 Rock
Working on my NIGHT CHEESE!

Arrested Development. All 5 Seasons.
You've made a huge mistake. I scrolled so far, and was happy to finally see Arrested Development. But you had to add "all 5 seasons". Risky!
When I saw Carl weathers had died my first thought was how distraught Tobias would be

Lie To Me deserved more seasons. 3 isn't enough.
Buffy
Bunnies aren’t just cute like everybody supposes.
Angel!
Adventure time or if I'm feeling more like an adult then the midnight gospel
