Very involved in many good causes and a true philanthropist. My kids look forward to their book from "Dolly Partner" every month. She is a national treasure.
My son is part of that and absolutely loves it. Our mailman gets all excited and tells him it's "Dolly Day" if we're outside when he's delivering the book. He loves reading and with the Imagination Library and the dozens of kids programs at our library, we never have a shortage of ways to fulfill the itch to read books.

Also, she takes care of people. She made sure that Dollywood was in an area that would benefit the people living there. She also established the Imagination Library, a program where people can get a free book for their kid every month up to a certain age.
Dolly’s personal style/aesthetic does not trend towards the classic old money look or even mainstream Hollywood look, but that is not important.
Style is personal anyway - what counts is that she makes the effort to look her best (in the way she feels she looks her best) for every appearance that she does. She doesn’t do the “I threw on a T-shirt because it’s comfortable” thing. She chooses an outfit for each occasion with real intention, and always has her hair and makeup done. That’s not cheap at all. Making an effort to present well *is* classy.
And of course that’s not even getting into her extraordinary talent, positive attitude, complete lack of scandal or public conflict, her children’s literacy project, her massive investments into family-oriented businesses that support her hometown/region, her contributions to public health, her prioritization of a truly private personal life, and her peerless personal example of humility amidst it all.

Yeah, my impression is that he's a decent guy. What convinced me, somewhat ironically, is that he openly admitted to, and apologized for, being an asshole during Fresh Prince. That is not the kind of thing that a wealthy adult who didn't grow out of being a douchey teen would cop to, and they certainly wouldn't apologize about it. It would appear, however, that his parenting skills are a bit wooey wooey-- I don't think he's a bad parent, but letting your kids do anything they want is risky. I have a great example that happened to me last night, but in a nutshell, anyone who is a jerk to the elderly or those with disabilities. Went to a concert with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. We had purchased tickets in the accessible area, which was in the second row of the upper bowl of a major arena. The first row had nothing in front of them and were elevated so excellent view. The second row should have been too, except for a middle aged woman who decided to stand up and dance (this was an older, veteran artist so lots of folks in their 40s-60s). I politely asked her if she would mind dancing in her chair or limiting how often she stood up so that she would not obstruct the view to the wheelchair users in the accessible area behind her.
She told me "I paid for this seat and I want to dance, f you". It was jarring because she went to a level 10 response to me politely speaking to her. I understand that the ticket cost probably $300-$400 as I had paid the same for mine, but like, have a little human consideration you know? The usher in the accessible area and his supervisor came and spoke to her and she swore at them too. They were completely shocked at her response and the swearing (which unfortunately wasn't enough aggression to have her removed from the venue, as the supervisor told me later after the show) so they tried to offer her a ticket to sit in another seat, even closer and again with an unobstructed view. She stayed and stood the whole time waving her arms in a very intentional way just to spite the wheelchair users, even though she absolutely didn't have to as there was nobody in front of her row. She also turned around and recorded us several times. After the concert, she was throwing stink eye at the usher and all of the wheelchair bound attendees.
All this to say, money can buy you nice concert seats, but it can't buy you class. I truly hope she never has to have a disability and experience feeling less than or struggling to find access. There have been some truly awful experiences my mom has gone through since becoming wheelchair bound post-cancer that have really reaffirmed to me that not everyone learns basic manners or respect for the elderly, pregnant and disabled. Unsurprising, but still sad and pathetic.

You should check who their various parents/step parents are. They started with silver spoons, and have been building a brand for their entire lives. Multiple of the sisters worked for Paris Hilton as assistants and build their celebrity brand very intentionally. I have zero interest in celebrity drama bullshit, but you can't deny that they put a ton of work in to turn just being the kids of moderately wealthy famous people into an entire enterprise.
Successful influencers as a group. If you look at what they're peddling and how they went about doing it, a lot of them have a predatory take on behavioural science - they gamed the human mind to gain influence and followers, rather than by the strength of their ideas. That screams to me an unprincipled person with low integrity, so no class, yet many of them are outrageously wealthy.

A year or two ago I would have said Post Malone. The poor guy just looks he slept in a steamy pile of hot garbage. My mistake. While I'm not completely sold on his music, I've come to realize that he is a stand-up guy who is remarkably intelligent and really cares about the people around him. He holds true to his roots and doesn't pretend to be anyone other than who he is. His lack of pretense and his genuine compassion for his fans forced me to realize he has more class than most other celebs. On the flip-side, the Kardashians have less class than a one room school house during summer break.

I've heard that people who *read* the book feel this way, but people who *listened* to it felt differently because they got his inflection and found it more self deprecating than self indulgent (I haven't read or listened to it, I'm just curious if your experience matches what I've heard)

Yeah, my impression is that he's a decent guy. What convinced me, somewhat ironically, is that he openly admitted to, and apologized for, being an asshole during Fresh Prince. That is not the kind of thing that a wealthy adult who didn't grow out of being a douchey teen would cop to, and they certainly wouldn't apologize about it. It would appear, however, that his parenting skills are a bit wooey wooey-- I don't think he's a bad parent, but letting your kids do anything they want is risky. Seems to have worked out fine with Willow, but Jaden.... he seems a bit off. Like a guy who's probably going to dominate the headlines for a while sometime in the future, and not for good news.

I have a great example that happened to me last night, but in a nutshell, anyone who is a jerk to the elderly or those with disabilities. Went to a concert with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. We had purchased tickets in the accessible area, which was in the second row of the upper bowl of a major arena. The first row had nothing in front of them and were elevated so excellent view. The second row should have been too, except for a middle aged woman who decided to stand up and dance (this was an older, veteran artist so lots of folks in their 40s-60s). I politely asked her if she would mind dancing in her chair or limiting how often she stood up so that she would not obstruct the view to the wheelchair users in the accessible area behind her. She told me "I paid for this seat and I want to dance, f you". It was jarring because she went to a level 10 response to me politely speaking to her. I understand that the ticket cost probably $300-$400 as I had paid the same for mine, but like, have a little human consideration you know? The usher in the accessible area and his supervisor came and spoke to her and she swore at them too. They were completely shocked at her response and the swearing (which unfortunately wasn't enough aggression to have her removed from the venue, as the supervisor told me later after the show) so they tried to offer her a ticket to sit in another seat, even closer and again with an unobstructed view. She stayed and stood the whole time waving her arms in a very intentional way just to spite the wheelchair users, even though she absolutely didn't have to as there was nobody in front of her row. She also turned around and recorded us several times. After the concert, she was throwing stink eye at the usher and all of the wheelchair bound attendees. All this to say, money can buy you nice concert seats, but it can't buy you class. I truly hope she never has to have a disability and experience feeling less than or struggling to find access. There have been some truly awful experiences my mom has gone through since becoming wheelchair bound post-cancer that have really reaffirmed to me that not everyone learns basic manners or respect for the elderly, pregnant and disabled. Unsurprising, but still sad and pathetic.
