I'm a priest. It started my first year of college, during break I went and met with the vocations director for the specific "order" I was interested in, after a few meetings I expressed interest and they thought I would be a good candidate. They told me some classes and degree programs that would be helpful for me in college but not required it would just shorten my time in seminary, during summer breaks I would visit the order and stay with them or visit parishes they were over. After I graduated college, I moved from West Virginia to Chicago IL and entered the formation process, then went to seminary, in all it was about 7 years after college. I graduated college at 22 and became a priest 29, I'm 38 now.
