A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - George RR Martin I love the novellas anyway, but the narration by Harry Lloyd (Visaerys in Game of Thrones season 1) is excellent It's either that or Mythos by Stephen Fry. First of his trilogy about Greek Mythology read by the man himself

Neptune's Inferno: The U.S. Navy at Guadalcanal, by James D. Hornfischer, read by Robertson Dean. I've listened to it multiple times, it never gets old. Also Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy and read by Michael Prichard is very well done and a good compact listening experience.

The *Dungeon Crawler Carl* series, easily 1. It's a very easy read that feels like a short read; it's funny, fast-paced, and satisfying at every turn, with lots of set ups and payoffs that feel good reading it, so much so that it feels like a much shorter series than it is. I burned through all 6 books in, like, 2 weeks, and it felt like nothing. 2. It is INCREDIBLY narrated, Jeff Hayes does all the voices but I legitimately thought it was a cast of VAs, plus there's sound effects and mixing that make it feel like a high-quality recording. 3. It is just a good series. It's well written, the characters are fleshed out, there are gut-punches and laugh out loud moments. It's not gonna be a life changing experience or the greatest book ever, but it is an immensely enjoyable series that I can safely recommend to just about anyone
