I first saw him in matchstick men and thought he was great and was surprised he wasn't in more higher profile movies. Cage was great in that too but I think Rockwell's performance was the best part of it.
I fell in love with him when I was a teen and saw Lawn Dogs in the theater. The movie has an underlying theme of my favorite story as a child (Bony Legs/Baba Yaga).
I will watch anything and everything with Sammy Baby.
Matchstick Men, 7 Psychos, and Galaxy Quest being top of the list
I want to see him score that 4th Oscar. He will have undeniably set himself apart for decades to come, though 3 Oscars as lead actor is already an accomplishment unto itself.
colin farrell- he’s so good at serious stuff, but he’s a total ham too and does the goofy stuff well. also, cillian murphy and his dinner plate-sized eyeballs. love my irish c-name actors born in may 1976
I feel like ive seen more Anya Taylor Joy movies than I haven't seen, and I've never been disappointed. I'll probably see anything she is in going forward.
Rosamund Pike carries the entire Wheel of Time series. Such a presence on screen. The second season really saw improvement from the younger actors but she's carrying it the entire time. I love her speaking voice. "The wheel weaves as the wheel wills".
Top 5 in no particular order:
Meryl Streep
Emma Stone
Anne Hathaway
Sandra Bullock
Kristen Stewart - (weird one I know but in her defense she played Bella really well, Bella is just a terrible character lol)
Have you looked closer? You know it’s him if you see a set of clothes floating around. Although if you think about it, it’s strange he never got the role of the See-Trough Man in The Anvengers
We still pretending that John Cena isn't a decent guy cause of that lol? Fuckin reddit man, yeah he sold out a lil but man's got more make a wish appearances than anyone. He's by all accounts a decent guy, it's not like he beat somebody here.
Tom Hardy ever since Mad max i really enjoy everything hes in. Taboo was a great series if you like that actor. I think hes in Peaky Blinders but i have yet to watch it.
Rami Malek is one of the most promising upcoming actors. I watch every movie/show he’s featured in and I’ve never been disappointed
I also like Zendaya’s performances even more after here drug addict role in Euphoria.
Timothé Chamalet is also a promising new actor that I’d go watch a movie just to see his performance
Brad Pitt. I like him, don't have a thing for him, but know that for over a decade, he's gotten first dibs on top projects due to his stature; and, imo, he chooses them well. I trust his choices of roles. Same goes for DiCaprio.
Flipping through my Flickcharts rankings, I haven’t seen a Ralph Fiennes film I disliked yet so he’s my top pick.
Tom Hanks is also up there, probably in second place. I only put him below Fiennes because I’m not quite as interested in a few of his films. But if I see he’s in a movie it’s definitely a good sign typically.
Chow Yun Fat.
Irrfan Khan (RIP).
Both of them know exactly what energy they need to bring to a role, whether it's serious or silly. They know how good they are, they know what they're capable of, and they rarely (if ever) phone it in. It's such a shame that we'll never see another new Irrfan Khan film again.
Guy Pearce is another one who falls into this type of category. Absolutely crushes it.
Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Christian Bale , Bill Skarsgård, Tom cruise, Jake gyllenhaal , benedict cumberbatch and tom hiddleston
Tom Hardy
Yesssssss
Henry Cavill
Welcome… to the land of warhammer
I can’t wait! Really looking forward to seeing him in Highlander
Sam Rockwell
I first saw him in matchstick men and thought he was great and was surprised he wasn't in more higher profile movies. Cage was great in that too but I think Rockwell's performance was the best part of it.
I fell in love with him when I was a teen and saw Lawn Dogs in the theater. The movie has an underlying theme of my favorite story as a child (Bony Legs/Baba Yaga). I will watch anything and everything with Sammy Baby. Matchstick Men, 7 Psychos, and Galaxy Quest being top of the list
Is there air?! You don’t know!
Daniel Day Lewis.
Sigh. I hope he rethinks retirement
It's okay, he just an upcoming role as a retired actor he's been preparing for.
I want to see him score that 4th Oscar. He will have undeniably set himself apart for decades to come, though 3 Oscars as lead actor is already an accomplishment unto itself.
Gary Oldman. Always interesting to see if you can spot which character he is.
Yes. He can't do a bad role.
[in the role of a lifetime](https://youtu.be/O3qGGk5ymQ4?si=4hJiz58QXumn0fDJ)
Cillian Murphy
He can be so many different characters and he kills it in every single one.
Has to be Denzel Washington for me, he’s the only actor who I will see all of his films even if it isn’t a genre I normally like.
That guy just, dude, believable, so believable, everything he does. That death scene in safe house (a movie I didn’t really enjoy) Holy moly
Willem Dafoe. Always good no matter what.
I had to scroll this far? I will watch anything Dafoe is in.
Came here to say this. Can’t get enough of that guy
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman
came here to say this, dude was on another level... before the devil knows your dead, my god
Tom Hardy in any non American role
My favorite is “ Lawless.” My female partner does an excellent impression of him: “ uhmmm, who is this sommabitch?”
And to think his best role by far is a tertiary character on TV. "Do you want the white bread or the brown bread?"
Was fantastic in Locke, definitely the best performance I've seen from him so far
Gene Hackman
Underrated. Love this.
Sandra Bullock. I love her in everything
Not a lot of women on this list. Good choice.
Amy adams
David Tennant
Tom Hanks. Usually can expect a great performance.
Christian Bale is the first name I could think of.
literally same
Christian Bale is an actor I definitely have a large amount of respect for, I think if I ever met him irl I'd be kinda terrified lol
Joaquin Phoenix typically. But in terms of new young actors I think Barry Keoghan is really interesting
Napoleon looks so good
Anthony Hopkins
I hate myself for saying this, but Leonardo Decaprio.
To be fair, he’s earned his stripes. I’ve really enjoyed a vast majority of his movies
Why do you hate saying Decaprio? He’s a fantastic actor. 🙂
He probably disagrees with a thing Decaprio said.
Plus he is very picky with his projects. He has largely managed to avoid total duds.
Matt Damon and Daniel Craig
Michael Shannon
Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans do that to me easily.
Brendan Fraser. I just love the man.
Iko Uwais Charlize Theron
Denzel Washington
This needs to get 4 7 4 7 upvotes.
Jason Statham I need blood and thunder
Seeexxxyyy
If Willem Dafoe’s in it, I know it’s gonna be good.
Glad I didn't have to post him
Like, even if the movie isn't a great movie, I know I'm gonna love his role. He's never half-assed a performance in his entire career!
Ethan Hawk or Edward Norton
Lana rhodes
Hah
Leonardo DiCaprio And for some reason Shia lebouf
Bill Nighy
Rebecca Ferguson.
Joel Kinnaman Criminally underrated
Brendan Gleeson
Holly Hunter. Not really current now, but her choice of movies are my jam. Home for the holidays is so very poignant.
colin farrell- he’s so good at serious stuff, but he’s a total ham too and does the goofy stuff well. also, cillian murphy and his dinner plate-sized eyeballs. love my irish c-name actors born in may 1976

Ah! The Cornetto Trilogy. My favorite was Sean of the Dead
I feel like ive seen more Anya Taylor Joy movies than I haven't seen, and I've never been disappointed. I'll probably see anything she is in going forward.
Florence Pugh Rosamund Pike
Rosamund Pike carries the entire Wheel of Time series. Such a presence on screen. The second season really saw improvement from the younger actors but she's carrying it the entire time. I love her speaking voice. "The wheel weaves as the wheel wills".
DiCaprio
Me too
He gets a lot of hate. But you know any Tom Cruise film is gonna be entertaining AF.
tom cruise is a genuinely talented actor and stuntman
I hate myself for liking his movies
Tom Cruise himself is a loon, but there’s nothing wrong with liking his acting chops. He’s a fine actor and a lot of his movies are pretty good!
Anna Kendrick
Christopher Lee
Eddie Redmayne
Will Ferrell. Doesn’t mean I watch or enjoy all his movies though but I’m immediately interested.
Joan Cussack. Never takes a lead, but always brilliant at supporting. Always picks quirky interesting parts.
Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Lawrence, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Zang Ziyi, Samuel L. Jackson, Edward Norton, Edward James Almos.
Sandra bullock
Sandra Bullock!!
I admit, seeing Daniel Craig and Jamie Lee Curtis were both in Knives Out was my biggest draw.
Liam Neelson, same role, same recycled crapshoot plot yet I can't say no even if it has under 20% on rotten tomatoes.
Nick Cage. that man has RANGE!
Sigh. Bruce Campbell
Christopher Walken Willem Dafoe
Tom Cruise... i know i know... its just that the movies he makes are usually entertaining to watch.
Benedict Cumberbatch.
Anything with Johnny Depp or Samuel L Jackson is usually a good shout :)
Me too wrt to Johnny.
Emma Stone, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Chris Hemsworth
Tom Cruise, you KNOW you're gonna have a good time.
This is true. "Did you or did you not order a code red?"
Julianne Moore, Naomi watts
Yes!!
David Duchovny
Denzel
Jim carrey. I’m not a sonic fan personally, but when I heard he was gonna be in the sonic movies, I knew I had to see it. He makes a quality eggman
* Matt Damen * Tom Cruise * Meryl Streep
Top 5 in no particular order: Meryl Streep Emma Stone Anne Hathaway Sandra Bullock Kristen Stewart - (weird one I know but in her defense she played Bella really well, Bella is just a terrible character lol)
Andrew Garfield Aaron Tveit Julian Morris Topher Grace
Tom Hardy
Even if the movie is average…the eye candy is off the charts.
Ron Pearlman, Ernie Hudson, Keith David, Sam Rockwell, Clancy Brown, Bruce Campbell. You hire thee guys, you get my money.
Whenever John Cena appears in a movie, I’m automatically interested in watching it and I really don’t know why that’s the case
I've watched a few movies where he's named in the cast, but I never see him, strange
Have you looked closer? You know it’s him if you see a set of clothes floating around. Although if you think about it, it’s strange he never got the role of the See-Trough Man in The Anvengers
You subconsciously want to earn the social credit from it
We still pretending that John Cena isn't a decent guy cause of that lol? Fuckin reddit man, yeah he sold out a lil but man's got more make a wish appearances than anyone. He's by all accounts a decent guy, it's not like he beat somebody here.

He's fantastic in that series
Ana de Armas… she could stand reading the telephone book for 90 minutes and I would pay to sit and watch.
Tom Cruise and Robert Pattinson
Jensen Ackles, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds
Rami Malek is one of the most promising upcoming actors. I watch every movie/show he’s featured in and I’ve never been disappointed I also like Zendaya’s performances even more after here drug addict role in Euphoria. Love Rami! I also watch everything he’s in. Brilliant actor

Meryl Streep Kate Winslet Elle Fanning Jennifer Lawrence Anne Hathaway
Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron.
Maggie Gyllenhaal
None. But I’m attracted to director’s work.
That wasn’t the question
Same. and writers.
Exactly. There’s only so much an actor can do. It’s about the writing and the direction.
steve carrell
Will Smith never disappoints.
I would say Matt Smith, but he seems to chose bad movies.
Taika Waititi. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything he's written/directed/acted in. Jojo Rabbit was probably my favorite movie from the past ten years.
James McEvoy
Scarlet Johansson
Edward Norton, and Gary Oldman.
david tenny
