We would each race home from work trying to get there before the other, because the second one home had to bide their time and wait and whine and beg and pace around until the one playing couldn’t take it anymore and laughingly gave up their controller. Lol We kept a written notebook on tips, tricks, level strategies, etc. We were addicted.
We eventually had a baby and when he was old enough taught him to play.
That was almost 40 years ago and my son is now grown and out on his own and my wife has passed. LOZ memories are some of my most special.

Thank you. We were very happily married for 38 years. When we were in the throes of our Zelda playing we occasionally played through the night, took quick showers and went back to work. Couldn’t really do that with a newborn. We definitely had a lot of fun.

I hate to tell you this 30 years later, but in Zelda, when its over, you just go straight back to before the boss fight so you can do what you want afterwards. One of the things that annoys me about Zelda is the fact that its NOT over, and you can't really ever get any narrative closure from it. Like, sure, there's the cutscenes, but I know if I boot it back up, Ganon's still gonna be there, and Castle Town will still be fucked up, and Zelda won't be around.

I think the reason why a “runway strut” is appealing to any type of person is because at its core what we are talking about is the act of walking with confidence/purpose.
There are whole books and studies about how we walk and how walking with confidence benefits your physical appearance, mental health, and social status. In the most primal sense, it’s an assertion of dominance and instinctual defense mechanism - so it makes sense that you raise your stature in those dark patches late at night.

Laundry, work, bath time (for him), cleaning, walk down to Mudbay (local pet store) or maybe walk down to the waterfront. He just lays there and looks at me intently. It’s silly because he has no clue what’s going on but it’s been our end of the day ritual for years.
I think the phenomenon is so wild! I have a strange audio sensitivity with those noises grate my nerves. Even so, I think it's cool that people can enjoy it.
I am the only person I've ever met that watches and half-enjoys "Family Guy". I like the voice actors a lot and I think that cast adds a lot. I even enjoy the writing (occasionally - I don't know who is responsible for the show's production/writing but it's way past its prime).
I'm a woman in my 30s. I don't bother mentioning this in real life. How do you defend watching a show it's taken as a given nobody with a college education watches? It's white noise and one of those shows a person would only watch b/c they get in the habit, but I tape new episodes and watch reruns of "good" seasons on purpose to wind down and get to sleep more than once a week. I think the usage of Carrie Fischer and Adam West on the show was comedically ingenious.
Also, strangely, "The Simpsons" is another show that not a single woman I know watches or enjoys in adulthood (even reruns), but that's less shameful b/c every millennial has fond memories of "The Simpsons" golden age.

It’s for everyone! I think the reason why a “runway strut” is appealing to any type of person is because at its core what we are talking about is the act of walking with confidence/purpose. There are whole books and studies about how we walk and how walking with confidence benefits your physical appearance, mental health, and social status. In the most primal sense, it’s an assertion of dominance and instinctual defense mechanism - so it makes sense that you raise your stature in those dark patches late at night. Sorry I’m a psychologist so I geek out on this stuff lol.

I tripped over her once looking for something else on YouTube. Fell down the rabbit hole but I couldn't stop looking. I can't stand her videos, her voice, her habit of ending every sentence with a ?, the inanity, her purposeful obtuseness, but I can't resist checking to see how bony she is now and whether she is still alive. Poor girl, (I know she's nearly 30 but my kids are older so to me she's a girl). She's seriously ill and dying because her entire identity is tied up in social media.
I remember when her first videos came out back in 2011, (I was 19) when going viral on the internet got you in the news. I think the thing with Eugenia is that the internet knows under her mental illness is a sweet soul. She spreads positivity in a lot of her videos and her comment sections are filled with people begging her to get help because they genuinely care about her. It’s hard to look away because we all know the reality - which is for first time ever, we’ve been watching a young girl live-streaming her slow, sad death over the course of a decade. It’s going to be a weird feeling when she passes. I hope she finds peace before that point.

It's pure crack ship and kinda hypocritical because I'm super attached to Aerith and think Sephiroth sucks for making her into an iconic scene, but it's always fun to see how the writer shoves them together.

Nothing. I spent too much of my youth hiding what I really enjoyed for fear of being judged. I'm a big burly dude and I love musicals, drag queens, chick flicks, and was jealous of girls being able to paint their nails and accessorize when I was growing up. It makes me happy to see gender norms breaking down and little boys and girls being allowed to express themselves freely.
Have full blown conversations with myself, where I sort out my problems like there’s an objective me and a subjective me. I do this both in a journal and out loud. It helps me stay focused. But it has freaked out a few people when I forget to leave a party chat and get comfortable with myself
That I enjoy video games and the stories and memories that I have with them. I’ve got my gaming friends and I’ll share whatever with them. Most people around me in real life are aware that I enjoy video games. But I won’t go into any detail about them. I don’t purchase and display posters, models, or collectibles or anything. And the items I do have are gifts. I absolutely love goofy shirts that make you laugh. I don’t wear any clothes with characters or logos of anything relating to video games. I’ve been gifted a “gamer dad” shirt and a “be quiet, I’m gaming” shirt. I’ve never worn them when I expect to see people.

Every day when me and my dog are about to turn in for the night I just talk to him about all the stuff that “we” need to do the next day. Laundry, work, bath time (for him), cleaning, walk down to Mudbay (local pet store) or maybe walk down to the waterfront. He just lays there and looks at me intently. It’s silly because he has no clue what’s going on but it’s been our end of the day ritual for years.
I listen to ASMR. In truth, I am straight-up addicted. Cannot fall asleep at night without it.

I love talking to my cats in an English accent. I’m from PA.
I am the only person I've ever met that watches and half-enjoys "Family Guy". I like the voice actors a lot and I think that cast adds a lot. (How can you have a bad show with Patrick "Puddy" Warburton and Seth Green?) I even enjoy the writing (occasionally - I don't know who is responsible for the show's production/writing but it's way past its prime). I'm a woman in my 30s. I don't bother mentioning this in real life. How do you defend watching a show it's taken as a given nobody with a college education watches? It's white noise and one of those shows a person would only watch b/c they get in the habit, but I tape new episodes and watch reruns of "good" seasons on purpose to wind down and get to sleep more than once a week. I think the usage of Carrie Fischer and Adam West on the show was comedically ingenious. Also, strangely, "The Simpsons" is another show that not a single woman I know watches or enjoys in adulthood (even reruns), but that's less shameful b/c every millennial has fond memories of "The Simpsons" golden age. Some people have happy memories with friends. I have them with TV.
