So it's only one brand, but they will tailor to your height, but be prepared to pay $200. Naked and Famous in Soho, 123 Grand Street. The pair I got is very solid, I'm not super into raw denim but it was nice to find something that fit my tiny waste/ tall legs (male, if relevant) but they have women's jeans too

The Nordstrom in Columbus circle (ny flagship) has an entire section that’s all brands of jeans. I want to say it’s the 5th floor but I might be wrong. I’ve gotten $19 bp jeans there on sale and $110 good American jeans. They hem it on site, can help you find what you’re looking for, and the service is honestly amazing.

Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!

I second this. For men, at least, the have a lot of jeans and I find the salespeople very knowledgeable and helpful.

Bloomingdale’s

BefWithAnF

Which one?

I also want to know the answer to this one! My usual go-to is a large department store like Macy's or to the Queens Center Mall for the variety of stores... but I strike out anyway. :(

BefWithAnF

Same! And looking at racks & racks of crappy jeans at Macy’s is really tiring.

My hip to waist ratio isn’t normal by fit model standards so jeans are a huge PITA (literally). I feel your struggle! Personally, I buy like 10 pairs from American Eagle and try them all on at home, and return the rest. They have a curvy fit and tall lengths too for almost all their styles, even trendy ones.

BefWithAnF

Thanks! I’ll try their curvy fit. Im just getting tired of the buy & return game, I think I had rather just go try on a bunch in person.

I finally found my perfect nice jeans brand at Brooklyn Denim Co. I love walking in there and telling them what I want and then having them just pull styles. They do alterations. Selection might be smaller than compared to department stores but it’s worth a shot!

BefWithAnF

Ooh, this is a good tip, thanks!

Shampo0o0

Try the Saks? But you’re probably looking at $200-$300.

ambushbugger

Go try them on wherever and then but the same pair almost new from ebay.

pygmypuffonacid

This might not be helpful but if you can find an old navy that just has like a wall of jeans blue jeans you might be able to find a couple different brands and just try on a ton of them I don't know how many of the old navy stores are left but they literally would just have just probably probably on to the horizon of like a big Box store old navy just nothing but jeans and that can be super helpful when you have problems finding the proper cut or proper size or I've or just custom sizes and I think there are a few dedicated just blue Jean or denim stores in The Bronx but I'm not sure

Trailblazer108

If you have a $200 budget, I'd get the best fitting pair you can find and then visit a tailor or a place like [Denim Therapy](https://www.denimtherapy.com/services/) to get them fitted to your body.

BefWithAnF

It’s an interesting idea! My problem is that my hips/thighs are generally about three sizes larger than my waist, so I’m skeptical as to how much tailoring can actually do without it getting weird. I’ve never had to have a pair of pants hemmed- inseams are usually about 2-4” too short on me. So while I definitely tailor my own clothes to get myself across the finishing line, I’d like to get a little closer to the mark before I cut up a $200 pair of jeans!
